I think it would be a good idea to have a facility where you can chose to gift a pet to someone without them having to have a junker, it would make life easier. We wouldn't have to wait on people to come online to give them the pets We wouldn't have our profile cluttered with junkers that will just end up in the Forest Save people having to panic buy junk pets. Give older users a chance to gift newbies without having to explain the whole trading lark and the Newbies don't always have junkies Putting pets you want to give to a specific person in your Rancher for 1 TU is a bad idea, I have seen several cases where the pet was sniped and there is no recourse when that happens. Everyones input and additional ideas are welcome :) |

I think you are right, Its a pain to waight for the person and if they have no clue what a pet trade is it makes it harder

I agree Fire. We need an easier way to give a user a pet with out them being online or without having to use junk pets!

It's a good idea, might make some things much easier :) We could send the pets just like we send items, filling the gap with a username. Maybe also verifying it with a code, like in the bank, so that no one would be able to hack-send our pets :) |

What if this noob comes and sends you some random pets, rare or not rare.
Then demands that you pay them for it. o_o
Thats what some do with items, no?
Really nice idea though, wonderful if the receiver could accept or decline...
Like normal trades but no junkie. :B

Good point lut, didn't even cross my mind. If there is the same accept/decline buttons as on the normal trade as you said, it gives the option. |

i support this i have been a victim when i was a newb to someone saying its in my rancher for 1tu and someone buys it and staff can do nothing. i think it should work just like and item does , you click your pet and up pops a box saying the creatu deion or whatever and at the bottom is a empty bar where you type in a users name. easy and simple. thanks for making this elf :D |

I TOTALLY support this.
If we could make the mods consider this, it would be a great help for creating a more newbie-friendly environment, and I also think the junk pets are just nonsense.

I like this idea. And to tackle the scam problem, it could send you an Rmail or Alert - something which the site logs so that Support can check them when people claim scams. :)

Thanks Fizz that is a genius suggeston. Any Gifting Pet Facility could be properly secure then, so people wouldn't have to be afraid of it or abuse it. |

The pet trading system was inserted so merchants have a way to sell pets too. But it is not meant to be convenient, as selling pets is originally a rancher privilege. Tempting as it is, I think it shouldn't be made any easier to exchange pets.
By the way selling their badly named pets as junkies is the only rancher income for some newbies. Yeah, you can try to explain a 10 year old that princess156 is not a name anyone would ever buy, they just won't get it. This, at least gives them some income, even if just a little.
I do not think there is anything wrong with these pets ending up in the forest, either. They get deleted from there anyways, and isn't the forest down for the very reason that there were not enough pets in it? You cannot really expect it to be refilled with Kiokas o_0.
EDIT: Actually I would support this if it had a time limit. Like you can gift away a pet once in a month. For those who really would like to use this option to surprise their friend with their dream pet on their birthday.
