Currently, you are allowed only one hour to complete an item quest.
If you fail to find that item within the hour, you fall all the way back to Tier 1.
Anyone who has tried the item quests knows it is sometimes impossible to find all of the necessary items within that time frame. Merchant shops do not always have every item in stock. The NPC shops do not always stock the items you need within the hour, and you may not be able to find any user currently online in the message boards or chat who has the item you need and is willing to sell it to you.
On top of that, sometimes the quest asks for multiple hard-to-find or expensive items at a time.
The only way to really succeed at quests is to build up a collection of every possible item you might need in your inventory before even starting the quest. This is an unrealistic expectation to have for users, especially less 'wealthy' users.
I propose eliminating the time limit on all quests. If it takes someone a few days or a month to find an item, so be it. They shouldn't be punished and sent back to tier 1 for something they can't control.
Making quests more accessible in this way will also help drive business for Merchants, because more people will want to participate in quests, and will buy more items.
