See, I role play alot. And, it's annoying when you can't type gra.ss without using something in between. I mean, none of us are here to curse, so what's the point. I can understand if it was the downright word, but I can't type a word like a.ssuring without getting censored.
Even when you're trying to name a pet with a name that has A double S next to each other, the site won't let you. I think these rules are unnecessary, any supporters?
You may not be here to curse, but there are thousands and thousands of people here, and i know at least a few will try to give a pet a dirty, or disturbing name, or curse all throughout the site just to be a nub. i know this may be an inconvenience, but it's necessary, and will not be changed.

Lol. Just the two suggestions you've thrown out have been saying how the specified rules are "unecessary".
I've had to remove tons of pets with malicious names countless times. Some of us may not be here to curse, but others here don't seem to give a flying rat.
It's also in my experience that people DO join Res just to swear and stuff. I think having the censorship of such things is perfectly fine, although I do agree that the censorship should exclude words like "a.ssociate" and "gra.ss". The censorship should remain, though.
... but that doesn't fix the censorship problem. What needs to be fixed is the fact that the censorship doesn't exclude words that are okay. Having posts deleted that contain the magic words would be worse than just having them replaced with '*censored*', because then we won't have the chance to rectify our mistake. At least with this option we have the chance to read over the post and edit it.
