So, about these recent creatu revamps

As nice as they are, I've been wondering.. how come the staff is modifying the creatu that that don't especially need it? I'm not like, trying to criticize or anything (and, really; I'm an artist, so i know that a lot of the time something just yanks in the back of your head until you do it, regardless of whether your attention might be better directed elsewhere).

Ah.. I think this is why everyone always thinks I'm a brat. I Come off sounding more harsh and condescending than I'd like too. Sorry.

..Anyway. Uh. Suggestion:
I'd really like to see the more out-of-date looking creatu be revamped; you know, the little handful who's art quality isn't up to par with the other's (again, that probably sounds.. not very nice, but I don't intend it to be mean, I swear).
By which I mean, say, Drindian, Mirabilis, Murren, Roditore.. You know. The guys who, in a line-up of all the creatu, would stand out due to the not-quite-as-great-as-the-other's art.

..Gawd. I really hope I'm not coming off as horrible as I probably am. I've never been good at subtlety. I'm seriously sorry if I upset and/or offend any of the designers.

Hurr hurr, artists do what they feel like doing. It will not look as good if they dun wanna do it. I bet Tamia's gonna come here and tell you all of the are due for revamp anyways.

In the recent news updates someone from the staff told that all outdated pets are going to be revamped, and are already signed out to artists. They are released in the order they are finished and accepted by the staff. So the only reason why the Zaphao was revamped earlier than the Drindian for example, is that the artist who worked on the Zaphao finished it sooner than the one who works on the Drindian. The others will come in due time. No need to make threads about it.

Don't worry about it; honestly it means a lot that you're being so careful not to offend anyone; I appreciate it.  And you're right.  Good choices for examples -- those four species are definitely at the top of the revamp list.  We want to see them updated quite as badly as anyone does. xP

As well as agreeing with Yaizhbeen's post, I can also explain the weird revamp order by saying that something like the Roditore needs a lot more work than the Zaphao to bring it up to par, so naturally it's gonna take longer.  We also have to work very, very carefully with the really outdated images -- people are really accustomed to them by now and some have come to see these old images as symbolic of the site.  Change them too much -- even if it's a good change -- and people will start a riot.  It's tricky to hit a nice compromise so that it'll be approved by as much of the site as possible.

No, I totally agree with you. It may be a little harsh, but it has to be said.

The specified pets really do not have quality art like the others, and with the whole new, cleaner look for v2 and the recent revamps of the other pets, they look...shabby.

I think their revamps should take priority, even before new pets, and it's good to know that they've already been *censored*igned, but that's just me speaking, and the artists and staff have their own schedules that have to be followed :]
