Hmm... well, if you don't mind some advice, I can give you a few suggestions that would make it more the style Rescreatu aims for with its Creatu? :3

First of all, I would suggest getting rid of the shamrock and the St. Patrick's Day aspect altogether.  It's unlikely that we're going to release a seasonal pet for a holiday like St. Patty's Day, Thanksgiving, 4th of July, etc.  I could go into the reasons, but I don't think this is the place.  As well, "symbols" used to decorate a Creatu don't really fit into the site's character anymore.  I know, I know, the Iluvu -- but that was a long time ago, and it's a special case.

This is a bit less objective and depends a lot on what you want to do.  I'm not sure if it's been suggested already, but try hybridizing it. =D  Choose another animal species.  Give it some of those features.  Antlers?  Fish scales?  The hind legs of a kangaroo?  Imagine what that would look like mixed with a platypus, and go with it. ^^  Chances are you'll end up with something unique and interesting -- but still platypussish.

Er... This thread is a bit old and I don't think it's going to be worth discussing. This idea of the patripus has been brought up a few times for nearly 2 years already. Can't we put it to rest? xD

Not to be rude or anything, but I honestly don't think this design can go very far. I do not think much can be done to improve it so much as to be appropriate to be made into a creatu. The general concept I've been seeing so far is the 'cut and paste' sort of design where to get a normal animal and just put features of other animals on and making it a funny colour. No sort of more 'advanced' design concepts that seem to appeal more to audiences nowadays have been used. It already has been established as a platipus... What else?

Sorry for this, I just had to express my honest opinion on this. I personally think that we are unable to carry this design forward.
