There could be a story competition. Every month you could pick a type of story. By the end of the month the stories have to be turned in. I know this is a short idea I just wanted to give it e try.

No support, because we already have the Publish A Book contest (PAB) which we try to run once a year. We don't have the time or staff to run any more often than this, unfortunately. The stories have to be collected, names removed for anonymity before judging, and then the judging itself takes a great amount of time to complete.
