It's just an octopus. And in the world of rescreatu, we can't have any just-a-anything. Yeah, sure zennies are 'just-a-dogs', but that was made a real long time ago and we've moved forward to not having any just-a's. Rescreatu is different from most petsites because the designs of the pets are complex and unique. They are based of real life animals and altered heavily.
Why don't you brainstorm and think of more ideas? Make it even better from what it is now? Designing creatures is fun, and I think you'll find it fun once you explore it more.
Maybe have the octopus/squid have long antenae (sorry...I might've spelled that wrong. >w<) and perhaps a paw/hoof at the end of each tentacle? There would be some sort of design on the face.
