Um Pawn Shop Anyone?

i was just thinking-i know scary though right- but wouldn't it be nice for those of us(ranchers) who have many valuable items that are kinda hard to sell to have something like a pawn shop that buys those items for say the lowest price in shops or maybe slightly lower . this shop would then have the items and be able to sell them like a pawn shop. i know you're probably thinking why not just go ahead and sell the items yourself and save the ha ssle of going through a shop? well it can be difficult to find the people who are looking to buy some items. this way they could just go to that shop and see what they have then buy it if they want it...

Sorry this would not be a good idea because it would make it so there would be no point in having merchants. Ranchers would have all the benefits. (;

trash isthmus only gives you half of what it sold for in the res shops. if an item is retired then it is worth a lot more than what it originaly sold for. i can see how it could be biased but what she is saying is that it would be like a trading post. it wouldn't defeat the point of merchants. it would just allow ranchers to be able to sell items than it would be hard to find a buyer for.

But it's hard to determine how much tu a retired item is worth since their values are mutable. The Uilus eggs obviously were selling for less in January than they are now.

That's the whole point dude! How the heck is a pawnshop gonna be any different? It has to give you half it's worth because you need to support the economy! Of course retired items are gonna be worth more, but the pawn shop will listen to the database (which has the price of it when it isn't retired) and give you half of that. You will have to sell it by yourself, don't always choose the  easy way, it's not worth it.

I thought that's why we had the Trash ishthmus? but I kinda see the point in this but then it makes no one want to be a merchent. Anyways I still have been itching to have a new cl*censored* added. But thats a topic for another thread. :3
