Alright, so you have a name you want; lets say for arguments sake its the name "Wendy"
You type in the name "Wendy" and you see: There are 1 pets with the name of wendy.

Only one pet can be named Wendy, so other than checking availablity, its virtually useless.
I propose, instead of hunting for the name "Wendy" amung thousands of other We names, that you have the same info on it:

 OR a link to the pet.

Sometimes you are looking for the name to purchase it, correct?

Anyway, thats just my suggestion, I've been trying for two days just trying to wade through all the names, still never finding the one I want. xP

Sorry guys, it's already been decided that name search will never be this simple. It will prevent every person who wants every name in existence from being able to immediately find the location of the name and beg for it, lol. 

If a person reaaally wants a name, it's not that hard to locate the pet. Think of it more like a name quest than a tedious task. =) 

But if people look for it and find it, won't they beg for it anyway?

Most people who are going to bed don't go through the trouble of searching for hours for a single name. xD

I for one, like the ability of not being able to find names right off the bat. xD I dunno...it just seems to make things...harder and therefore more interesting. :p

 But I suppose i'm in the minority there.

Or you could just not bother and ask in the shout box.

Maybe ... just not have a filter with a "find only this" so lets say you type in Sun, you don't JUST find sun but also every other pet wiht the word "sun" in it if you REALLY don't want it to be "easy"?

I have to disagree about this.  D:  Mainly because I search names for people for a small price, and if that feature was added, I would lose tu.  >.<"  I kind of actually enjoy flipping through page after page, and I do it quite often, actually.  ^^

And, the last idea wouldn't work very well... because if you you type in "Wendy" like in the above post, the name "Wendy"  Would stll pop up, along with Wendys WendyDay, YumWendys, etc.

Anyway, Innuo, if you want me to find a name for you, I'll do it half-price.  ^^  Just rmail me the name and I'll rmail you back about it and stuff.

But I don't want to spend money for soemthing that I can do myself. =/

I've always hated the idea of having a name search. I like having to put in a little effort to get things. Makes it feel rewarding. And as Broken said, if people didn't have to put in that effort, there would probably be a lot more begging thrown on collectors. Beggars don't like effort; that's precisely why they beg, and why the current ACS prevents them from doing so.

I could probably list nine thousand other reasons I've seen other people say and that have come to mind while disagreeing with just about every one of these threads that pops up, but.. I think I'll just leave it. Looks like I don't have to repeatedly disagree anymore. xD *cheers staff*
