You can collect up to 100 eggs in any 24-hour period. If you hit this limit, more eggs found will not be picked up. If you click to pick up an egg after 2 minutes, it will not be picked up.
Make sure you are only hunting in one tab also, because only the most recently found egg will be picked up. This means you could find a Jaaku egg in one tab, then some other egg in another tab, and regardless of which you clicked, you'd pick up the other egg.
