I don't believe there's an affiliation between Res and Jumpstart.
Creatu art/concepts are a collaborative effort between the individual artists of the site and input from other staff. They can also be based off user's suggestions. While images/photos of real animals are often used as references, none of the ideas behind creatu are sourced from other sites or another individual's work- we wouldn't be allowed to do that. :)
I can see some similarities to your ideas though. I think when you're basing things off creatures in the real world you're bound to have some common features, like wings or a fox-like appearance.
