Hello there.

Sorry if I sound ridiculous due to my newbie-ness, but I was curious about the whole marketing on names. In forums, I'll see people advertising to sell and buy names, or selling their pets but requesting to strip the name first. Can you strip the name from a pet and sell it or put it on a different creatu?

The way name selling usually goes is they sell the pet with said name. 
You can change a pets name using a  Name tag, freeing up its original name so you can put it on a different pet :)
