Well, I have to get a new cat. And what ticks me off, is that Smokey's twin was sold yesterday. Which makes me even more joyous of getting a new cat. Not really. Well, be happy Eliv. Atleast I can get any cat I want. Even if it was 100 million dollars, well probably not. But you get the picture. I can get any cat I want, name it whatever I want, and yeah. So, here's the contest part. You give a suggestion, for a breed, and every second entry you get 20k! Yep, I'm that nice. And for every other post, you get 15k. Not much difference. The breed that gets the most opinions, wins.... 250k! So..start naming breeds. One entry only. 35 Breeds will be chosen. Knocked down to 15.. Then to 5... Then to 2... and then....a new cat. My parents agreed to do this, so start entering! Oh, everyone gets a free item with entering! Entries Siamese-Kraine Turkish Van-Jlaz Calico-Noryse Bengal Cat-Supermonky American Shorthair-Mickeyy Barn Cat-Detneth

Oh, fun! I suggest traditional siamese. Totally biased, because I've had one for 13 years. But she's my best friend and she follows me everywhere and I really know her well. They're great cats!

Turkish Van Turkish Vans are sweet, active, playful cats. They love playing in water, and their beautiful, soft, silky fur dries off quickly, while also having a reputation for being hypoallergenic. They're very intelligent, though somewhat mischievous at times, and they are said to have dog-like loyalty and enjoy playing fetch. EDIT: http://animal-world.com/Cats/Natural-Breeds/images/TurkishVanWCtN_AcC107.jpg Added a Turkish Van picture. They are always white, with patches of color only on the head and tail. The patches are most often, red, cream, blue, or black. Other cats can display a 'van' pattern as well (the pattern was named after these cats, who were named after a lake in, surprise surprise, Turkey), but they aren't necessarily part or full Turkish Van. They have blue eyes, gold eyes, or odd eyes. It is unlikely that you will ever find a purebred Turkish Van in a shelter, as they are relatively rare. However, they are known for being a very healthy breed (some purebreds can be inherently prone to health problems), which is one of the many reasons why personally, I'd love to get one. Since I can't, I'm giving you my opinion. ;)

Calico cats are domestic tle="Cat">cats with a spotted or parti-colored coat, usually predominantly white with brown and black patches. Outside of North America the pattern is more usually called tortoiseshell-and-white. Other names include tricolor cat, mi-ke (Japanese for 'triple fur') and lapjeskat (Dutch for 'patches cat'); calicoes with diluted coloration have been called calimanco or clouded tiger. Calicoes differ from simple tle="Tortoiseshell cat">tortoiseshell cats in that tortoiseshell cats have black and orange coats with possible patches of white, whereas calico cats have white-based coats with black and orange patches.[1] Some calico coats have a swirl (called a rosette) on either side of the stomach.[2] They are always girls.

Actually, there have been very rare cases of male cats with calico fur. While probably 99.9% percent of all calicoes are female, genetic misshaps can occur resulting in a male calico cat. Male calicoes are always sterile, but I don't that would make any difference in pet quality. I do not know whether a male calico would be healthy or not. Anyway, hate to sound like an annoying know-it-all, but I know that male calico cats do exist, and I wanted to point it out, more for the 'interest' factor than to look smart or something. =)

I recommend a bengal cat, if you like a very calm cat that still loves to play. My bengal cat loves to cuddle at night and sleeps in my parents room. He also loves to be chased and wrestled with. Be warned though, they can play rough. If you are okay with that then you should check out moreabout them here. Bengal Cat

Hmmm... Well, it really depends on what length of fur you like or can manage. If you want a longhaired cat, I suggest a Persian. They live for about 20 years, and are very sweet. I f it's ShortHair your wanting, I suggest the British Shorthair. I have two British Shorthair kittens at the moment, both very sweet and good natured. They love to play and cuddle.

^_^ i suggest a Scottish fold. they are so cute!! their ears are folded downward, some are folded half way, some aren't folded at all, and some look like they don't even have ears. they come in all different colors, calico, tabby, white, ect. they also have different hair sizes, some short, some long. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scottish_Fold

I would suggest a Ragdoll Cat, they are known for being large cats with a gentle demeanor, and a tendency to go limp when picked up. Breed Standards describe it as affectionate, intelligent, relaxed in temperament, gentle and easy to handle. Fully grown the cats can weigh up to 15 lbs. for females, and as much as 20 lbs. for males. here are a couple pictures http://www.animalsites.net/news/gallery/ragdoll-cats/ragdoll-cats-4.jpg http://www.floppycats.com/wp-content/uploads/HLIC/d7cd3cc71cfc2897227870dae85d28d9.jpg

I'd suggest just a plain, farm-born cat. c: If you don't mind out-door cats, then I think this 'breed' is fine, and in my opinion tend to be more hardy than pedigree cats who are inbred. :P My own cat was adopted, but originally born on a farm, and lived seventeen years and was an excellent mouser and companion. ^^

I agree with Detneth, some sort of mixed breed. They're great and look amazing, with all the different features from different breeds. My cat, I'm not even sure what he is, I just know he's sweet. Though my mom's cat is part Siamese and has an unusually small head for his unusually large body. Try to find a proportionate one.
