Rain
She splashes in the puddle,
Spins in the rain.
She jumps like a star,
The only star in the day.
The sun shimmers down,
From up in the trees,
Shining through all the beautiful leaves,
The puddle glimmers,
It's own special shine.
The rain falls on her head,
Tip tap, Tip tap,
It washes down her sorrow and pain.
She kicks it softly,
Making sure every splash is just right.
She watches the puddle day and night.
But one day the puddle is gone,
Again she cries? Again?
Her puddle is dried,
Her puddle is gone,
History she thought.
It rains again,
Her puddle is back.
She splashes in the puddle,
Spins in the rain.
She jumps like a star,
The only star in the day.
Star light, Star bright,
Only star I see on this very night,
If I may or if if I might,
Have this wish I wish tonight.
More rain came,
Tip Tap, Tip tap
Her puddle got bigger,
Much, MUCH bigger.
She kicked it again,
This time the kick wasn't just right.
She made sure to look at it both day and night.
This wasn't my wish she said.
One day she grew older, old enough to live on her own.
She looked at her puddle one last time.
She kicked it one last time,
She danced in it one last time,
She spun in it one last time,
She jumped in it one last time.
She shed her last tear in it,
The tear made one last little puddle.
The very last puddle,
She would ever love.
