Eherm. *steps up to podium* Laya has decided in lieu of doing a contest in the SB to take it to forums. Answers should be posted here. The first to post the correct answer to a question gets 10k, except for the last two questions which are worth 25k and 20k, respectively. The first to post the correct answers to ALL the questions gets an additional 100k. That's a cool 205k total.
That got everyone's attention? Okay now. Questions are: 1. Laya has creatu named Asurada and HayatoKazami. Where did these names come from? (Laya is looking for two words, although the full name is better of course.)
2. Laya also has creatu named Hertasi and K'Sheyna. Where did these names come from? (Laya ish looking for the name of a place in a book series.)
3. Laya has a dragon on her profile (the same one on her forum siggy). Who is the author of the books from which the dragon's name is taken?
4. Laya has a sepia veram named after a book. Who is the author of this book?
5. Laya has a favorite heroine, but the series from which the book she is in is taken has TWO heroines. Who is the other (and first) heroine of the series?
6. GenjyoSanzo and ShaGojo are characters in what anime?
7. How many couples are there in Laya's zenirix collection? The one who can name all the couples and the animes they come from gets an additional 15k. 8. What is the connection between Prideth and Gary Tobai? Laya is looking for one word only. Good luck!

1. The animae Future GPX Cyber Formula. 2. Hertasi and K'Sheyna are both from Mercades Lackey's Valdemar series. Hertasi are lizard folk created by the ancient Great Mages, and K'Sheyna is one of the Teledras clans. 3. Mnementh is from the Dragon Rider series, a bronze dragon ridden by F'lar. 4. Jose Rizal 5. Need more info. 6. No idea 7. Herm? 8. I know Prideth is from the dragonrider series too, but no idea who Gary Tobai is. Outta time, gotta get to work.

Geo: Re No. 3, Laya needs the author's name. Re No. 5 and No. 8, Laya has clues on her profile. Geo gets 1, 2 and 4 correct though. 30k to Geo. 1. Asurada is the brains of the Cyber Formula race car driven by Hayato Kazami. 2. Mercedes "Misty" Lackey wrote the books set in Valdemar and its neighbors. Laya collects her books, as well as Marion Zimmer Bradley's Sword and Sorceress anthologies, where her Tarma and Kethry stories were first published, stories that later became part of the Valdemar novels as the Vows and Honor trilogy. 4. Noli Me Tangere means "do not touch me" and comes from the Bible. The book was written by my country's national hero, Jose Rizal. Questions 3, 5, 6, 7, and 8 AND the 100k prize, still up for grabs.

Another 10k to Geo. 3. Anne McCaffrey is known as the Dragonlady because she is best known for her Dragonriders of Pern series (of which Laya is only missing the newer books now). She also wrote the Talents series, which started with To Ride Pegasus, went on to chronicle the Gwyn-Raven clan, and ended with The Tower and the Hive; and the Crystal Singer trilogy. She also co-wrote some series with Elizabeth Ann Scarborough (Petaybee), Jody Lynn Nye and Elizabeth Moon. Questions 5, 6, 7, and 8 AND the 100k prize, still up for grabs for a total of 165k.

Coryn: you got number six right.Not number eight though, Laya is looking for something else altogether. 6. Genjyo Sanzo and Sha Gojo are lead characters in Gensomaden Saiyuki; the other two are Son Goku and Cho Hakkai. The anime is loosely based on the Chinese epic Journey to the West, also known as The Monkey King (in this case, Goku). 10k to Coryn. Questions 5, 7, and 8 AND the 100k prize, still up for grabs for a total of 155k.

coryn: you got it right, but did you look at laya's collection? 7. Yes, there are three couples. If anyone can name those pairs and tell Laya the names of the animes they come from, they get another 15k. Meanwhile, another 10k to coryn16.
