Your deathly pale skin, still soft as the day I first set my eyes upon you.
You mumble in your sleep, but nothing of what you says makes sense, nothing is true.
You smile warmly at me, every single time I enter the room,
But I know you don't even know who I am, your mind is trapped in an already closed tomb.

Your lips are tinged a light blue, yet your smile is as beautiful as the first day you met me.
You say things to me, things that I just pray you don't truly believe.
You thought I was the technician the other day, I'm just glad you can't really see,
How that made me die inside. At least your heart is still free.

But what am I saying? You've lost who you are.
You are not the sweet love that captured my heart.
But... that can't be right.
If your smile is still the same,
As is your voice and even your name,
How can there be anything that has changed?
