Yes, you read me correctly. I think that too many people neglect their pet pages.

So now there will be a prize of

ONE MILLION TU

for the best pet page.

 

But here's the catch:

If you enter, you also have to vote.

Each entrant gets one vote, and no one can vote for his/her own entries.

You may enter as many times as you like, but you still may only vote once.

 

If you enter and do not vote once all entries are in, no matter how many votes you have, you can't win. In the event of a tie, all entrants will be contacted for a final vote.

I will let all entrants know when all the entries are in, and everyone will have to vote then.

 

Again, enter as many pet pages as you like. As of yet, there is no entry deadline. I may create one if this contest gets a lot of attention, or we could just wait until everyone who's going to enter has.

Judging Guidelines:

 

Pages should be judged on several values:

  • Content: The text or images that the page actually contains. A relative lack of text or images might also be worth some credit, but only if used in a creative or situationally appropriate way.
  • Ambience: The feel of the page. Backgrounds, link colors, music, positioning. Think Feng Shui. Simplicity or lack of CSS/HTML knowledge shouldn't make a page worth less, but artistic influence should be evident.
  • Interest: Does the page make you want to look at it? Or is it a pain to read or view?

These are only a few, and your own opinion of the page should be the qualifying factor in deciding which to vote for. Please note that the species, color, and name of the pet should have nothing to do with your judgement of the page. Just because a pet is worth more does not mean its page should win.

Again, you may only vote for one.

 

 

I may add categories and sub-prizes later, depending on community interest in this contest.

I'm glad this is so popular, lol. xD Turnout's looking great so far!

 

As for help with coding, you can use Google all you want. xD No disqualifications for that.

If you're EXTREMELY stuck, even after Googling, maybe I'll add a brief guide for things like images, text, color, and background content. But only if you can't solve things with Google.
