I have decided to give out prizes for the "Best of the Best." Every time a Wave ends, I will assign points towards the "Best of the Best" category depending on which Bracket your score has earned.
Thus: Bracket 5 - 1 point Bracket 4 - 2 points Bracket 3 - 3 points Bracket 2 - 4 points Bracket 1 - 5 points
When the Tenth Wave ends (or every ten Waves thereafter, depending on how long this keeps up), I will give out extra prizes to the players who got the top three Best of the Best scores.

I tryed really hard answering this but with all the names it just got too confusing and frustrating. You also shorted the names too which confused me more. Then you was sudenly asking about someones mom or cuzan. Just crazy. I dont think the other waves were this hard.

1. Lee Seung-gi *o* The actress is Nam Sang-mi, she was in Lee Seung-gi's music video, Difficult Words To Say That's a lot of hints too ahaha
2. The name "Kim" (I kid I kid) They were both beuty pageant contestant that became actors, and man I loved Kim Sung-ryung in the heirs, she was stupidly funny xD
3. He's the son of a gumiho/human and uh is a troublemaker in the village and he didn't get the first girl he loved. (I don't really know xD I only watched it a bit) Gumiho is a nine tailed fox demon thing 8I

The Fifth Wave of this Quiz is now officially closed.
The answers are:
1. This Korean actress who was in one of Lee Seung-gi's early music videos wasn't only a "sweet spy," she was "invincible," and very recently, a "goddess of marriage." Who is she? :D (1 pt) -Nam Sang-mi. She was in the music video for "Words That Are Hard To Say" (also called "Difficult Words To Say"). She also played the lead characters in Sweet Spy, Invincible Lee Pyung-gang (also called Taming of the Heir), and Goddess of Marriage.
2. Speaking of Lee Seung-gi's music videos. The music video for his "noona anthem" debut song "Because You're My Girl," starred the lovely Kim Sarang as the said noona. Aside from being actresses, and yunno, women, and all the obvious stuff, what does Sarang have in common with Kim Sung-ryung, better known as Jang Geun-seuk's self-centered mom in You're Beautiful and Lee Min-ho's ditzy mom in Heirs? (1 pt) -Kim Sarang and Kim Sung-ryung were both crowned Miss Korea, Sung-ryung in 1989 and Sarang in 2001.
3. Still speaking of Lee Seung-gi: He starred in two dramas about gumihos-- My Girlfriend is a Gumiho and Gu Family Book. In the first drama, he is, of course, the gumiho's boyfriend in a tale that turned the gumiho legend, so to speak, on its end. But Gu Family Book went one better... so what was so unusual about Seung-gi's role in that drama? (Bonus point if you tell me what a gumiho is.)(2 pts.) - First of all, a gumiho, in Korean legend, is a nine-tailed fox demon who eats human livers. Specifically, she marries men in order to eat their livers (or hearts, depending on the version). So a gumiho is always portrayed as female, like Shin Mina's character in My Girlfriend is a Gumiho. Only, in that drama, the gumiho was not evil-- she wanted to be human and be loved. Gu Family Book went one further in remaking the gumiho legend in that Kangchi, the role that Seung-gi plays, is a male gumiho.
Bonus question: Speaking of gumiho. What Pokemon is based on the gumiho's Japanese cousin? :D (1 pt.) -If you answered Zorua, Zoroark, Vulpix or Ninetales, you're correct. All of them are based on the kitsune, which is the Japanese counterpart of the gumiho. The Ninetales, however, is the Pokemon whose appearance is closest to the kitsune and the gumiho.

1. Oppa mainly is a term used by women to call older men like older male friends or older brothers, but I've seen some older women call younger men oppa too so I'm not really sure about this. A younger sister would call his brother oppa. A younger female would call an older male friend oppa. A female would call a male oppa. A female trying to seduce a male would call a male oppa xD (Like using aegyo) And maybe If I had an older brother and we lived in korea I'd use oppa just to annoy him or pretending to be cute xD and hm that's all I can think about now xD
2. Fruit Basket, and how it relates to the story is well, they all have very different personalities like all the different fruits in a fruit basket (I don't even know xD)
and oh god I know nothing about the bonus xD

Entering the 6th wave :)
1) Oppa means "older brother" but only it's only right for a younger girl to use. A younger boy would call his older brother "hyung." Younger girls would call older sisters "unni," and a younger boy would call an older sister "nuna." And these titles aren't only used between family, it can also be used by friends, or acquaintance.
2) Fruit Basket.
The meaning of the name: The Fruits Basket is a game where a player is assigned to one fruit (any fruit as long as it is a fruit). Tohru was assigned by her friends to be the onigiri (rice ball, which obviously isn't a fruit), so she was left sitting alone because onigiri won't be called since onigiri isn't a fruit. It is also a metaphor on how Tohru can't belong to the Souma family as an onigiri won't belong to a Fruits Basket.
Bonus Question: No idea. Cant even find a film called Sleeper Hit. |
