If this is still going, then I wrote a little deion...
It lurks beneath the water, crimson eyes glowing. Its rough grey skin is criss-crossed with scars as it swirls to deeper depths. Long and lean, with sharp ridges along its back that flash in the dim and eerie light. Long, serrated fangs keep its jaws from fully closing. About the size of a small limousine, it cruises the ocean bottom, waiting for its next victim. Four long, strong legs propell it through the water with the help of a tail nearly the same length as the body. A barb ends the tail, filled with poison twice as deadly as any scorpion. But that's its ancsestor; the deadly Fattail scorpion.
Two of its offspring shadow it. They're smaller, a lot smaller. The major growth spurt will come just before adult-hood. Their front legs aren't yet legs - they're pincers, slender but strong. They, too, have the same glowing, blood-red eyes.
Then a massive great white shark flickers by, and the slow, languid creatures morphs into a grey and black blur. Crunch! The shark didn't stand a chance, and blood slowly swirls into the water, forming a red warning to all who venture too close to the lair of the Vaarkill...
