If it's something as big as that, then I would ignore it.  Big dramatic scenes means I would end up making a big dramatic problem by fighting back.

But I'd ask for it back.  And I'd offer to pay some Tu as well.  But if they didn't, I'd just shrug it off.

 I wouldn't do any of them.  I'd explain to them that they allowed me to and thus it was my decision.  But also say that the gift was 'recycled' into the Tu you got as you sold it.  And then say thank you.
