Normal User Posts: 169	Christmas 2011 Art Contest We had so much fun with the Halloween art contest we thought we would have another for Christmas. Our artists have made another awesome piece of line art. Ends: December 17th at 11:59 pm Line Art by xeeroh Please do not use this image. The OFFICIAL LINE ART can be found below. [ Contest Rules ] 1] All entries MUST use the provided line art. However, you may color, edit, redraw, paint over and otherwise edit the lines as you see fit, so long as you start with the original image provided. 2] The Rescreatu logo must remain visible and intact in all entries. 3] Participants may only submit one entry. Should other entries be submitted, only the FIRST entry will be counted. 4] Players are to submit their entry to contests@rescreatu.com before the due date with Christmas Art Contest as the subject. The Following information MUST also be included in your email: - Username - Age - Media used 5] Images submitted must be no larger than 800x800 pixels. Rules may be added or changed as seen fit by Rescreatu staff. [ Judging Criteria ] Your entry will be judged based on the following criteria. - Originality of Media - Quality - Color Usage - Creativity [ Prizes ] ALL participants will receive this exclusive forum avatar! Staff will respond to your questions as quickly as possible and they will be posted here for everyone's reference. :) Question: Can you rearrange the lines into any creatu you like? Answer: You may do whatever you like as long as you use the line art provided. We must be able to tell you started with the line art Question: Is it possible to get the line art on a whole transparent background? Answer: I will check on this and let you guys know. Question: Can I print the lineart to color without entering? Answer: Yes you may. Question: What do you mean by media used? Answer: Whatever you used to do your entry. If you used Photoshop put Photoshop, if you used markers put markers, ect. Question: Where is the line art we should use? Answer: In the second post of this thread. Click where it says "Please click here for offical contest line art." Question: Is the contest free? Who can enter the contest? Answer: Yes the contest is free. Anyone with a Rescreatu account may enter. Staff may enter but they can not win. Question: Can we draw whatever we like for the contest as long as it is a Christmas or winter theme? Answer: You are able to do whatever you like as long as you start with the line art provided. Question: How do I submit my entry? Answer: Attach your entry to email or link the image in the email. Normal User Posts: 169	[ Contest Winners ] Theme: SyntheticBlue Lovely theme of soft spots of snow over spotted creatu coats against a background of ice. A very cool piece. Quality: Xemalia Excellent quality of soft digital paint strokes and contrasting warm and cool hues bring depth to this composition. Color Usage: Indiah Excellent use of warm and cool tones. The colors create the sense of tropical warmth to an arctic scene. Use of Media: Zaefyra Waves and sky swirl together with depth and texture to depict a very festive Rescreatu scene. The planets in the background are an excellent addition. 13 and Under: SilentSteps2709 Excellent shading, good use of Uilus shadow on the Narwi. The whole scene is just festive and fun.
