Sorry this is taking so long. After you answer that I PROMISE we will start. xD ]]

*DOUBLE*

With the moon as my only light source, I sped through the forest. Perfectly dodging any immense trees in my way. If I had an actual heart, it would be beating so fast you'd think I was having a heart attack. My prey before me was running, but I ran faster. It kept screaming for help, but I was much more clever. I got him in the forest, so that he could scream all he wanted. Sometimes the screams got you through the pain.
I could have gotten him a long while back. Before I even chased him into the forest in a fright. But, I liked to give the humans a chance. My prey needed one last chance in this unfair world.
But, I couldn't wait any longer. I was starving and growing more impatient by the second. I jumped up from my running, pressed my foot against the stump of a tree and pushed, zooming forward even faster. It felt like walking on air. Purposely running right into my prey, I tackled him to the ground. With a sneering smile, I growled,
"Lost your chance to get away. Good luck with your after-life."
And, with that, I drained the life out of him within minutes. He screamed more then my first meal, which you'd think I'd enjoy. Though, I found the screaming quite annoying. Especially since it was right in my ear.

Tino got up off her bed and stretched happily. "It's summer~!" She cooed. She had been waiting for this day for almost a year, and finally it was here. No more school! No more long nights! No more cold! Tino cheered out loud in joy. Yes, that's what she loved the best, no more cold that seeps through the house at night and leaves her shivering in a ball because someone forgot to restock the fire wood.

"What's all of that noise, Tino? Are you okay?" Tino's mother called up from downstairs. The girl found herself nodding, even if her mother wouldn't be able to see. She quickly got dressed and ran downstairs. "Yes mother, I am fine. I was just happy that it is summer again." She got cut off by the radio.

"Today, a body has been found in the Clearback Forest. The victim is male, and around the age of thirty. His cause of death is of blood loss, but the only marks on his body are two puncture marks on his neck. It is unknown who did this."

Tino gasped. Clearback Forest was just under a mile of her house.
