((back only for this RP cuz i love you both ^^; i won't be doing any other ones though... maaay be beast masters with pip but other than that nothing DX))

Tamarand glared into the darkness of the forest, watching for any movement in the slightest. he jumped when Kioko brushed up against him but relaxed quickly, not wanting to show his anxiety which had nothing to do with the wolves in the forest.

-----

Aurora whispered to Vince,

"I'll go on ahead, I can blend into the darkness the easiest. Take care of the others until I get back."

Without waiting for an answer, she slipped into the gloom towards the sound of the oncomming pack, whoever they were. her nose caught a familiar scent as she drew closer but she couldn't make it out. distracted by the scent, she suddenly noticed that the pack had p*censored*ed her, headed directly towards the others. She cursed silently and dashed after them, hoping she wouldn't be too late.

-----

Kale shifted uneasily and looked all around, obviously nervous. He noticed Aurroa whisper somethign to Vince and then dash off into the forest. his eyes narrowed and he stepped next to Vince and said,

"I would have never just let her go like that."

----

Kurano glanced at Kylane and asked,

"You okay? You seem a bit on edge."

-----

Shyra felt heat rising in her chest and bit her lip. It was happening again, the heat. She shut her eyes and tried to concentrate on smothering it before it got loose completely. Feeling her inner fire die down, she opened her eyes to find Aurora gone.

Probably scouting out the other pack, she figured.

Kirano stood ready, his mind open to sense intentions, powers, and most importantly, size. But it seemed as if nothing were there. There was a barrier on the minds of the oncoming pack. The only way he could tell they were existant, was by the strengthening scent.
Kurano. This is...odd. I feel nothing of their minds. Only a barrier.

((Sorry if thats a bit of powerplaying. DX))

Kioko watched with held breathe as her sister ran off, and she started muttering words slowly to herself. They would alert her if the other pack got closer to them than Aurora did. The trees were her now, she was the trees. What they saw, she saw, what she saw, they saw. The power drained quickly, and almost immedeatly, she could tell that Aurora had pas.sed the other pack. With this, she let go of her control, and stepped back a few steps when the power from the trees no longer supported her, and the drain on her energy was much.
I must fight tooth and claw against these wolves, only using my power when need be.

((that's not pp, no worries, gonna start controlling the others now))

A relatively old male wolf raised his head as he scanned the trees up ahead, the blue markings in his brown fur shimering despite the gloom. They were getting close to the other pack in these parts, and it was a fairly large one at that. He glanced over his shoulder where his own pack was following him a ways back. With a thought, he flash-stepped next to them and whispered,

"We're getting close." Turning to his best friend, the alpha said, "Ouka, stun them for me will you?"

----

A pair of emerald green eyes watched the old alpha as he gave his orders. The she-wolf those eyes belonged to shifted her snow white wings to a more comfortable position as she glanced longingly at the wide open sky. Ever since they had caught wind of the other pack, both she and the other flight-capable female had stopped taking to the skies for fear of discovery. She pawed at the ground axiously as she waited for the next move, her snow white fur visible even in the absence of light.

----

Aurora stopped short as she found herself almost running right into the pack on her way back. She skidded to a halt and ducked down behind some bushes before the pack could take notice of her. She strained to make out the figures through the bush branches but failed to do so, the darkness also hindering her efforts. She glanced around in desperation but soon noticed that it would be impossible to skirt past the pack without being seen since they were standing in a rather large clearing. Aurora cursed to herself and settled down to wait for the opportune moment to make her move. This pack would not have it easy, Aurora and her siblings would make sure of that.

-----

Tamarand noticed what Kioko was doing and whispered,

"What do you see? Are they close?"

His tail swished uneasily through the air even as he took the deep breaths in preparation for using his powers. He felt the familiar rumbling echoing through his chest and filling his throat though the actual boom would not be released without Tamarand's approval. Years and years of training saw to that.

----

Kurano, despite his mental inferiority to his twin, could sense somethign was wrong; there was someone of great power amongst those wolves approaching. The aura that wolf gave of was strangely familiar though Kurano could not determine from where. It was odd, he felt as if he should know who it was, like a silent nagging at the back of his head, screaming the answer at him, refusing to click. It frustrated him but it didn't distract him from the issue at hand. He moved himself a bit closer to Kylane and whispered,

"Don't hold back if it comes down to it, I have a feeling we'll need all we've got to win this fight..."

The other winged female rustled her golden wings irratately. She hated running, but it was alpha's orders that she not fly so close. Even if he was her mate. When she had learned of the size of the pack, she had worried about her pups. What if they had been hurt by this pack? Or even worse...Killed?

The thought brought a shiver to her spine, and her white pelt fluffed out a bit, the golden markings appearing like a soft electricity. She turned to the female beside her, a deep blue-pelted female, with stars and moons of many sizes and phases adorning her pelt, like a nighttime sky.
"StarMoon, have you felt any disturbance at all as far as your Celestial powers go?"
The female turned her gaze to the older female, purple eyes bright. She shook her head.
"No, but I feel that they are powered as well."
The white and gold female nodded, and picked up her pace catching up to her mate. She fell into step beside him, matching his paws.
"StarMoon says that the other pack is also powered. other than that, she can tell none. That only being because powers interfere with the balance of things."
After a pause she continued.
"Will I be able to fly once the fighting starts? I can keep an eye on things, and Ouka can stay in contact with me. I'll be able to fight, but if it turns for the worse, I can let Ouka know, and he can tell you."
Her soft golden eyes were almost pleading.

~~

Kirano smelled the scent growing stronger, and knew they would soon be close. In the knowledge of the opposing telepathic wolf, he spread a weak sheild across those fighting with him. He wouldn't call it a pack, really, they had no alpha, but he considered them allies.

~~~
Kioko turned her head toward Tamarand.
"I was seeing when they got closer to us then Aurora. It was a quick response. She pas.sed them, and will probably attack from behind. Once you pas.s a groupo, it is hard to pas.s them again without being seen. Escpecially if they are going in the same diredtion as you want to go. Basically, they are approaching quickly."
(rawr, back for a post)
The alpha male glanced at his mate, eyes softening as he did so. He said, his voice deep with age,
"I would rather have you up in the air than anywhere else when the fight starts. That way you can be out of harm's way, especially if they're powered too." He lifted his head to look up ahead, trying to see through the trees. He muttered,
"We're getting close.... God I hope the pups are okay..." He shook his head as if to clear it and turned to look at his mate again as he said, "Tell Ouka to start the attack. I'll circle around to hit them from behind. The darkness is our key to success here so tell Starmoon to not use any of her showy light tricks."
-----
Aurora kneaded at the ground with her claws, impatient to the last degree. Her tail swished uneasily as she continued to watch the black sillouettes of the enemy pack.
-----
Tamarand nodded and shifted a bit so that he was closer. He bent down to her ear and whispered, "When it starts, stay close to me." With a slight hesitation, he added, "I'll protect you." Embar*censored*ed, he quickly pulled his head away, though he did not increase the distance between them by even a centimeter.
Kioko felt her pelt get hot, then struggled to control her feelings. She couldn't have any distractions during this fight. She turned her head to face Tamarand, and smiled.
"I'm braver when I'm next to you. And more comfident, as well. I would never leave your side, anyways."
The white female nodded.
"I hope they're safe, too."
She licked her mate's ear quickly before dropping back to the black and red male, who had been with her and her mate since the pack had started.
"Lyanti says to start the attack. He's going to circle around and attack from behind. Stay on the edge of my mind, and I will take flight. If something goes amiss, I will tell you, and you tell Lyanti."
She paused, running beside the wolf for a bit longer before speaking again.
"Are there any telepathic wolves there? More importantly, have you felt any of my pups' minds in the past day or two?"
Her worried eyes seemed to glow in the dim moonlight.
((waah were's pippit?!))
Tamarand glanced Kioko's way again, trying successfully not to blush. The rumbling of thunder in his chest was smothered for a moment by some other buzzing feeling, but the contained power of sound quickly overpowered it. His head came up as the wind changed, bringing the scent of the pack thier way. The wind curiously changed again right after that, as if willed by something. Tamarand cursed under his breath and muttered, "They have a wind wolf with them..."
----
The white-winged female quickly turned the wind back into thier favor as the attack began, the alpha already dashing into the darkness. She glanced the alpha female's way, waiting for some sign to take to the air, as she so longed to do. her eyes also fell on Ouka and her heart skipped a beat despite herself. Luckily, it was dark enough to mask her blush. Her attention was wrenched away as a black form flashed past her and the others, dashing after thier leader. She cried out in suprise, caught off guard and too late to tke any action as the enemy faded into the gloom.
-----
Aurora cursed as she saw one wolf dissappear into the forest, marking the beginning of the attack. Deciding to waste no more time, she risked exposure and exploded into the clearing, dashing across it to the other side. A cry came form one of the wolves and it sounded strangely familiar, but Aurroa did not stop her pursuit.
----
Kurano branced himself as a cry reached his ears. It wa sstarting, and he was ready.
----
Shyra's eyes flared crimson as she readied her powers. Small sparks of flame detached themselves from her, dying quickly in the cool air.
----
 Kale glared into the darkness of the trees, his fur standing up slightly as raw electricity danced around him. Though he had been repeatedly rejected by her, kale would do everything in his power to protect Aurora and her siblings. He could not say the same for Vince, though.
Kirano felt the presence of the telepathic wolf enter the area around him finally, and he shouted mentally to the rest of the group.
I'll get the telepath! I can deal with one better!
Kioko felt the wind shift, then shift again, and growled. She heard a sudden cry and took a step back as she dove back into the 'minds' of the trees. She located one wolf easily, a dark pelted female, and grew a vine from the ground, ensnaring the wolf.
Fayte glanced back at Starmoon momentarily, Then dropped back to help the dark female. She was held by a vine, and plants were her specialty. As she pas.sed the white female, she stopped momentarily.
"Go ahead to the air, Medina. I'll join you soon."
She turned around and dashed toward StarMoon, stretching her mind into the being of the vine. She sensed another, weaker presence, and forced it out. She now had control of the vine, so she released her packmate. The dark female dipped her head gratefully, then ran to join the others.
Kioko felt her mind pushed from the vine, and opened her eyes, taking a few steps back. She whispered to Tamarand.
"There's a plant wolf...stronger than me."
Lyanti glanced behind him as he heard someone following him. The steps were too light to be Aeren's and Ouka wouldn't follow him. He spun on his heel, meeting the other wolf head on. It was so dark, he could barely see her, and he knew it was a female because of her light frame but every other physical feature was lost in the pitch black of the night. He felt the air grow threateningly cold and he growled. Water was his element, ice was simply another branch of it. He lashed out with his power, water acumilating around his paws. As the female danced around him, repeatedly snapping at him, trying to find an opening, he flashstepped and let the water that had been underneath him explode into the air. Caught off guard, the female scrambled away. To Lyanti's suprise, the water that came within a few feet of her froze solid in less than a milisecond. His eyes narrowed as he realized that this would not be an easy fight.
----
Aurora was gaining on the alpha, but very slowly. When he suddenly stopped and turned to face her, she snarled and pressed on, letting the temperature around her drop to below freezing. As she tried to repeatedly bite him, he gathered a large puddle around him, its purpose unknown to Aurora until he teleported and let it explode in an attempt to soak her. Luckily, her freezing aura prevented that. she glared at the alpha male and retruned his glare with one of her own. It was odd, Aurora had never met another wolf who could flash-step like her father....
-----
Tamarand lifted a lip in a snarl and growled out the phrase,
"Follow me. If they're going to sit there and fight us with ranged powers, them i'll take the fight to them."
he briefly waited to see if Kioko would follow. his plan was that she would use her ability to gain control of the plants in the surrounding area once he disrupted any of thier controlling powers. It was a roughly sketched plan but the usually patient Tamarand was at the end of his leash (pun intended)
----
Kurano glanced at his brother after hearing what he said. Privately, only to his twin, Kurano said,
Are you sure you'll be okay? I'm not the best telepath but even I can sense this guy is powerful. He paused for a moment before adding, We're stronger together, you know that...
----
Medina nodded to Fayte and took to the skies, willing the air to aid her. The clouds roiled around her, slowly building up a gale that rocked the trees below and seemed to shake the sky itself. Her eyes glowed greyish green as she spoke to the winds, the wildest of the elements much more under her control than that incident many years ago. The wind was her ally now, not a caged beast at her disposal. As she felt her ally lift her even higher into the air, she sensed something affecting it as well. A more violent branch of the wind element took shape in the form of a thundercloud and Medina glanced down at the dark forest below, 'seeing' with the wind rather than with her eyes. The other wind power was comming from a storm wolf in the enemy pack, and not a bad one at that.
----
Kale caught sight of a flash of movement high above just as the wind picked up dangerously. With a growl, he summoned up his own power, building his own storm to combat the gale created by the other wolf. Lightning flashed and thunder followed, though not as loudly as it should have been. Tht is where his brother, Tamarand, was supposed to come in, but it seemed as if he had other plans. It looked as if he was ready to dash into the forest and use his ability to disrupt the other wolve's abilities, and that was a better idea than just bolstering Kale's own building storm. With a growl of effort, he returned his attention to the task at hand and, out of fun, let loose another lightning bolt.
Kioko followed him, her orange pelt bright, even in the growing darkness. She ranged her mind out, to try and catch glimpses of the oppsing pack through the trees' 'sight', but what she got were no more than fleeting glimpses.
Kirano shook his head.
No. Because if he trys to paralyze me, and you are connected to me, then we'd both be down. At least if I'm the only one, then you can come help me.
Fayte took to the air after Medina had already lifted off. Though the winds were strong, she could stand them, mainly because of her strength now. Se was not as clumsy as she had been when she had first met Lyanti and Ouka. Nor was she weakened by her old wounds in her wing and shoulder. The wounds were evidence of a foolish self she had been, and they still pained her when she strained herself too much in flight, but not much.
StarMoon bounded forward to help Lyanti. The alpha had accepted her into the pack--twice. The first time, she had run off, but when she had come back, him and Fayte had allowed her back in. She felt she owed them. With a slight growl, she leapt at the dark female, despite a strangely familiar scent that surrounded her.
Aurora sensed someone else break through her icy aura and she glanced behind her as a dark female approached, most likely to help the alpha. She snarled and dropped the temperature even more, frost beginning to line the ground and trees. Teaming up, eh? She thought to herself. See if that even helps, you dogs! Aurora was getting agitated, and it showed in her eyes. They glowed electric blue, shining in the dakrness with a unearthly light as her power built up. Neither the alpha nor his pack member would wait for that though.
---
Lytani nodded to Starmoon as she entered the fight. he flash-stepped again, placing him right behind the opposing female, but she had already moved, leaving a trail of ice spikes in her wake as she danced away. He glanced at the roiling clouds above and grinned despite himself. Thanks, Medina. With a thought, he called down a torrent of rain, drenching them all. he then used his power to trap the female in a powerful cage-like things made of the water soking her fur. The female reacted quickly. Icy energy lashed out, not at Lyanti, but at Starmoon. Since she was wet as well, the other female way quickly trapped as well, except in a cage of ice. A menacing voice came from the black wolf, saying, "Kill me and I crush her."
----
Tamarand exploded into the clearing with a roar, taking only a split second to find his main target, the plant wolf. the thunderous sonic boom made the trees shake to thier roots and disrupted anything that may have been controlling them at that moment as well as stun those who still remained in the clearing. Looking over his shoulde,r he yelled, "Now!!"
-----
Kurano hesitated, but nodded, understanding. This did nothing to ease his anxiety. He began pacing, hearing a cross between thunder, snarls and other noises resounding all around him. he hated the fact that he could do nothing to help.
-----
Medina howled in fury as the lightning storm attacked her own gale, lashing out with lightning strikes and pushing her back. She renewed her efforts and strengthened the wind, fighting to push the thunderheads back.
---
Kale grit his teeth in frustration as the battle in the sky was brought to a standstill, niether side letting up. Lightning flashed more often now, echoing his struggles. He could hear the thunderous bellows of his brother ripping the air to shreds in the depths of the forest and the andgry howl of the wind female above, but that mattered little to him at the moment.
----
Shyra growled in frustration and dashed into the forest as well, almost instantly comming across Aurora fighting two enemy wolves. At the end of her patience, Shyra burst into flame and tackled the male to the ground. his concentration interrupted, the alpha's water barrier fell to the ground, releasing Aurora. This, however, broke Aurora's concentration as well and the icy cage containing the other female shattered.
Starmoon backstepped away from the fire and ice females.
One of each element, eh?
She closed her eyes, the stars and moon on her pelt glowing softy, and tried to somehow reverse their efforst on the other, the ice wolf on the fire, the fire wolf on the ice, therefore helping her and Lyanti. She wasn't sure if she could do it but...
Kioko nodded, and skidded to a halt, wrapping vinse around the plant wolf's feet, then her middle, and slowly fattened the vine, steadily crushing the older female. It took all of her concetartion to keep it from going haywire.
Kirano searched with his mind for the other telepath. It was a steady process, cautious and careful, but he had to find the wolf before it found him. He glanced up to see that the skies were lit with lightning, and storms were matched against each other.
Isn't it odd, how those wolves also have the same powers? Or related powers?
He located the mind of one of the wolves, the one in the air, and sent a dagger into her mind, a mental attack, trying to break her focus and gain them the upper hand.
Fayte growled and stopped the growth of the vine, though she could do no more. She took control of the tree behind the enemy, and made it grab the wolf, in an attempt to break the other plant wolf's concentration. It did. The bright orange female was being held helplessly against the oak, by the tree's own branches, and the young female could do nothing. With a smirk, Fayte flew into the sky, catching only one word as she did so.
"Tamarand!"
Kioko called down to her friend, who was far below her. She had never flown, nor been in the air, so this was very unnerving to her. She wiggled, trying to get free, but to no avail. The tree was too strong, as was the other plant wolf.
"Tamarand...I couldn't do it....I told you my powers weren't that strong. If mom was here, she'd have beaten that wolf to the ground."
((what is it that starmoon's trying to do? confuse shyra ad Aurora into attacking each other? I like it X3 ))
A bright flash in Aurora's head sent her reeling. The entire forest was suddenly set ablaze around her, the flames licking at the air. Her eyes narrowed in anger as she caught sight of the wolf who had ruined her attack. It didn't even look lke a wolf, more like a fiery demon with blood red eyes, rabid spit dripping from its teeth. Aurora returned the growl, curiously forgetting al about the enemy alpha and other female wolf. This wolf was her target now, and she directed all of anger anf icy fury at it. The temperature dropped horribly low and m*censored*ive icicles began forming in the air around Aurora, hanging there until she gave her command.
-----
Shyra struggled to her feet but found that the forest had suddenly been turned into an icy wasteland, the trees no more than columns of frozen wood. An ice block stood nearby, and as Shyra looked within it, she could see the expressions of agony frozen on the faces of her two brothers, trapped dead inside. Anger, sorrow, and rage hit her all at the same time as her eyes settled on the wolf responsible for the cruel deaths of her siblings. The thing looked evil, midnight black pelt dripping with shadows and icy cold eyes freezing her soul in place. Already, the demonic ice wolf began its attack, summoning m*censored*ive icicles. Shyra did not hesitate to follow suit. Every other matter was forgotten, the only thing that mattered was the death of that horrid deamon standing in front of her. Shyra's pelt burst into flames and she summoned fiery balls of energy to spin around her. In her core, she felt something shift that shouldn't have ever moved again, but instead of putting it back to sleep, Shyra urged it on. Slowly, but surely, Shyra's inner fire sparked to wakefulness.
-----
Lyanti struggled to his feet. The fire female's tackle had cracked a rib, though it was not a major injury. When he finally rose, he noticed that the two females had suddenly turned on each other. he glanced in starmoon's direction and he could see that she was in deep concentration, keeping the illusion in place. He moved to place himself between her and the two fighting allies since he knew that the illusion would not last forever.
(I hope I got that right ^^;))
----
Kale flailed as a slight crack formed in his defense and he rushed to reenforce it, but it was too late. The wind female's storm broke through, the wind pushing back Kale's thunderheads. A victorious cry came from the female above but it soon turned into a shriek of pain and suprise. Her eyes suddenly rolled into the back of her head and she plummeted from the sky, the wind dying without warning.
----
Medina cried out in elation as her gale broke through the thunderstorm but her victory was short lived as her mind was *censored*ailed by an unseen force. Shortly before turning all of her attention inside, she felt herself begin to fall, all of her motor skills unavailable under the mental attack. With a roar, she searched through her inner defenses for the perpretrator, finding him stabbing at her mind with a mental dagger. She growled, saying, You are not the first psycic I've had to deal with, don't underestimate me! She pushed back, scrambling for a foothold to shove the enemy out before he could gain access to her thoughts and so know every weakness in the pack's members. She could not allow this...
---
Tamarand snarled as he lodged his shoulder underneath the trunk of the tree trapping Kioko and heaved. The heavy ton of bark refused to move but he continued anyways. As he did so, he said through clenched teeth,
"Don't worry about it, our main purpose was to delay them. By now the others have finished off those who attacked first and will be able to defeat those who came second easily."
The tree finally moved, enough strength applied to send the trunk rolling off of Kioko. With a sigh of relief, he added, "We played our part perfectly, Kioko. I couldn't have done it without you."
Kioko stood and shook her pelt, a shiver continuing down her spine, reaching her tail and making the tip appear to have gone into a seizure. She padded over to Tamarand, smiling.
"But without you, it definantly couldn't have been done."
((Well, since Pippit isn't here to play Ouka, I'll improvise.))
Kirano was forced out, but not before learning the wind wolf's name. He had found it in his original attack, and was now staring at the ground, recovering, and in disbelief.
Its Medina. Wait, that means....
He found another of the enemy wolves' minds. He did not attack, rather he 'glided' through it. It felt alien and old, and many parts were barricaded. But he found what he was looking for.
StarMoon.
As he reatreated from her mind, he felt her concentration break, and feared the worst. He bounded over to his brother, his eyes pleading.
I need you to help me tell everyone to stop fighting! This is OUR pack.
He hoped his brother had gotten what he had meant as he bounded off to get within range of getting into his allies and his foes minds. He first tried the wind wolf again, knowing she'd be ready, and easier to contact, though he feared she'd attack his mind again. He stretched out as far as he could, trying to not seem aggressive, and not attacking.
Medina...
StarMoon growled and stepped back a few steps when her concentration was broken by someone entering her mind. Thankfully, they had only gotten their name, but there was something odd about the touch. It had seemed peaceful, not hostile, and was oddly familiar. She stepped forward, whispering to Lyanti.
"The illusions won't last long."
Medina felt the presence retreat and she found herself looking at the trees woosh past as she continued her rapid descent. She pulled up quickly, still hitting the ground though not as hard. Recovering, she felt the mind again and recoiled, preparing to attack, when she noticed that he was now benign, and calm. She heard him say, Medina? The voice was so familiar. She reached out, gently, searching for a name, a face, anything. When she found it, an extremely loud, "OH MY GOD!!" exploded from her lips. She found herself muttering, B-but, wait, that means... oh my god! we have to tell everyone!
----
Lyanti nodded and said,
"I'll be right here when it breaks. No need to worry, just keep it going as long as possible."
Kurano jumped when he heard his brother contact him and sputter off a series of words that made him freeze. Our pack? as in.. no wait... that can't be.... SH*T!! He glanced at Kylane and told her what was going on before dashing off into the forest in search of Aurora and Shyra. Regrettably, he forgot all about Kale....
----
The storm roiled overhead, now at full strength and seeking others to destroy. Lightning continued to flash threateningly, zapping at the treetops far below. It didn't take Kale long to notice that it was getting out of control and he put in all of his effort to pull back. The storm growled at him in defiance and lashed out at him with bolts of lightning that hit scant inches away, but Kale did not falter. This was going to be a difficult battle, but Kale would succeed, he always did when it came to this.
---
Aurora let loose the same time Shyra did, the two opposing forces, fire and ice, colliding with an explosion of raw energy. Without hesitating, both rushed in with tooth and claw to slash at the other, black and scarlet fur flashing as both lightning quick females fought.
----
Tamarand's eyes softened and he forced himself to look away. he couldn't break down now, not now. Without looking at her, he said,
"We should probably regroup with the others, you may have to do some healing."
