Vin started walking down his driveway, glancing back when he didn't hear Rain's footsteps. The idiot had his face to the sky and looked happy. He hoped Rain got a cold as bad as the one Vin was going to wake up having tomorrow. The teen knew that his friend wouldn't end up getting one; he never got sick from their wet outings (which was not fair at all).
Vin turned all the way around and looked at Rain. His rainbow colored hair was flat against his head and darker than normal. Vin walked up to the make-up wearing freak and tugged on on his shirt. "Come on, lets get moving. You can get cloud slobber on your face later."

Rain grinned, doing as he was asked. ''Alright, alright, I'm coming. And if you must refer to it as some kind of liquid from the sky, you should call it tears. After all, you'd cry too if most people hated you.'' Still smiling like an idiot, he began walking properly again, in the general direction of the cliffs. He still took his time, albeit a little faster than before, and anyone that walked past them appeared to be walking much faster than they were.
Quite a few people gave him a 'look', i.e. signifying they thought that Rain was evre so slightly nuts. And if they didn't, it was likely they'd already seen him around. ''Hey, you wanna climb down the cliff with me today? It'll be fun.''

Vin decided to play it smart for once and not reply to the crying sky thing. He didn't want to start yet another argument with Rain. And he couldn't think of a good comeback. Vin kept an easy pace with Rain, avoiding the wander eyes of others. He probably should be used to people looking at him since he was with the clown often, but it still bothered him. Not because they were judging, oh no, he just didn't like being looked at.
Vin glanced up at Rain to listen to him. He immediately started to frown. "You have got to be kidding me. Why-" Vin cut off mid sentence. He stopped walking to take a deep breath in and then release it. What would his trees do in this situation? Would they get worked up and freak out? No, they would stay calm and politely decline. "No, I do not want to climb down the cliff with you while it's raining." Vin told Rain, attempting to keep the bite out of his voice.

Rain got the feeling Vin was finding it difficult not to yell at him. This seemed to be the way things were the majority of the time. His reaction was quite funny, stopping to take a deep breath and everything. Shrugging his shoulders, he smiled amiably. He hadn't expected his friend to do it in the first place, he had only asked to provoke a reaction. It always proved to be funny. Always.
''Alright then, I'll climb down on my own. I don't see why you wouldn't though, it's really safe.'' Thinking it over for another moment, he thought of something else that might irritate the other guy. ''Besides, if you did fall, I'd catch you.'' Grinning like a moron, he crossed the road to a gate, swinging wide open between two walls. It was some walk to the place, but it was woods for the first little while anyway. After that, it was mostly just wild grasses, with a trail cutting through them caused by Rain himself.

Vin watched Rain cross the street in shock. He was so busy unscrambling his brain that he forgot to yell at his friend for not looking both ways before crossing the street. Rain said things like that every once in a while, and for some reason, it always got to him. Vin made sure that there wasn't a car coming before following Rain. He hurried his pace to catch up with his friend.

Glancing at the trees around him, Rain decided that his friend's trees were cooler. If only because most were smaller and didn't block out the rain completely like these did. However, he was soon out of the wooded area and into the fields. The area was completely deserted, now, with not a car in sight, and the ground was slightly sloped, with the two of them moving uphill. When he reached the end of the trail, there was a bare clearing in the grass, and a fence surrounding it. A single, twisted tree stood in the center of the clearing, clearly not there naturally.
''Alright, here we are.'' He smiled pleasantly, motioning towards the tree. ''Sit under that, if you like.''

Vin touched the bark of the trees he passed (and that were in reach). They were dry, but that wasn't that surprising considering how thick the leaves were. They weren't surrounded by trees for long, and they were soon in a field. The long pieces of overgrown grass were bent over from the weight of water droplets. They passed through a small wooden fence that Vin would have thought was cute if it wasn't made of wood and he saw a lone tree.
Vin glanced over at Rain. "Are we both sitting under the tree? Or are you going to stand out in the rain?" He asked suspiciously, then paused. "Or are you going to actually climb down a wet cliff?"

[[Blech, onda laptop. Apologies for typos. x3]]
Rain opened his mouth to reply, then thought better of it. Vin didn't sound very amused at the thought of him climbing down the cliff. ''Well, I uh...'' He motioned to the tree yet again. ''Well, you sit under there. I won't climb down it the full way, just a little way...'' He trailed off, shrugged his shoulders, and walkedover to the edge, climbing over the safety fence with ease.
''Don't worry about it, Vin, I'm fine. I've done this before.'' Laughing at how worried his friend always got, he decided to have some fun with him. Holding onto the aging wood of the fence with one hand, he leaned as far back as he could, a grin on his face. Until, that is, the aged - and in reality, rotting- wood of the fence snapped off in his hand.
With a look more of confusion than anything else, Rain fell back and into the water, not even getting a chance to try and grab the fence again. He was simply there one moment, and gone the next, any noise he might have made drowned out by the rain.

[[It be all okay]]
Vin glared at Rain as he sauntered over to the edge and jumped the fence. He looked over at the tree, wondering what kind of condition it was in. He looked back at Rain again, only to watch in horror as he the fence broke. He ran to to the fence and looked down. He couldn't see Rain, which was sort of good because that meat he probably hadn't hit the rocks below. At the same time, he couldn't see Rain in the water.
Knowing that he didn't have his phone on him and he had know idea how to get back to the road, Vin threw Rain's jacket onto the ground and swung his leg over the fence. Sitting on the edge of the cliff, he looked down and tried to find the best route down to the water. Because he wasn't stupid, he knew that it was going to be difficult to get down.
Vin somehow managed to find many foot holes, most of them probably made by Rain, and a few sturdy rocks. Cliff climbing was nothing like tree climbing. If somehow he and Rain lived through this, he would force his friend to teach him how to do it.
Finally, after what seemed like forever, Vin got to the bottom of the cliff.

[[Loldon't worry, some people's panic is doing the pracical thing. xD]]
Rain wasn't quite sure how it had happened. One moment he had been happily laughing, the next he was under water, unsure of which way was up, and being battered against rocks by foaming, crashing waves. He couldn't breathe, but struck out in what he hoped was the direction of the surface and began swimming wildly. His guess had been wrong, but just as his vision started dimming, he was fortunate enough to be washed onto the small, sheltered bay at the baseof the cliff.
Coughing up sea water, he realised that he was cold. And sore almost all over. Thankfully there weren't any specific places of pain, which either meant that nothing was broken, or everythingwas. For some reason he went with the first. He wasn't used to being so cold, though. Being flung off a cliff, then repeatedly back into it, had plunged his body into a slight state of shock.
This made it difficult for him to regulate his own body temperature, resulting in the rare event of him feeling icy, mercilessly cold. His normally healthy skin was pale and hinted slightly blue, with bruises quickly appearing on his arms, and likely under his clothes, too. Besides this, though, he was miraculously unharmed. Not that he didn't still run the risk of hypothermia, but at least he wouldn't die from blood loss or something.

Vin thought he saw something in a bay not to far from him. He stumbled across the rocks he was walking on, tripping and falling on his arms more than a few time. When he made his way over to the bay, he realized that what he saw was in fact a person's body. Most likely it was Rain, unless there was some other idiot who fell/jumped off the cliff.
Vin took a second to wonder if he should be panicking. He probably should be. Maybe he was in shock or something. Thinking about panic made Vin feel nervous, and his thoughts started to clutter, and ohgodRainyoubetterbealiveorI'llfindsomewaytorekillyou.
Vin rushed over to the body, which was Rain (surprise surprise), and tried to feel for a pulse. He ended up stabbing Rain's throat with his thumb before he found the artery he was looking for. Yep, there definitely was a pulse there. "Rain? Can you hear me?"

[[LOL. I lol'd so hard at Vin's thoughts. XDDD]]
Rain's eyes flickered open, as he heard a voice and felt someone jabbing his neck. Not a particularly comfortable feeling, probably... Whoever that guy was that he liked to torment. His name appeared to have slipped his mind... Damn, Vin wasn't goint to be happy. Oh, that was it. Vin. How could he forget Vin?
''Mmmn...'' He pushed his hands against the sand in order to sit up, his head spinning. ''Yeah, I hear you...'' Suddenly realising his friend would be worrying far more than even he liked to worry him, Rain forced a smile and looked up at him, although his breathing was ragged, and his eyes unfocused.
''Don't worry, Vin... I'm fine. Just.... cold.'' He suddenly realised how strange that sounded, coming from him, but his mind refused to focus on anything and decided now was a great time to go blank and for him to just space out completely. So, rather than reassuring the other young man, Rain was busy staring into space.

Vin slapped Rain. "You... You idiot!" He snapped. "Don't worry? You just fell off a freaking cliff! Why the hell should I not worry?" By the look on Rain's face, Vin could easily figure he wasn't paying attention. He looked up at the sky, blinking away raindrops that had fallen into his eyes. Or were they tears? The Idiot was going to get slapped again if they were.
It was still raining, which was probably one of the reasons as to why Rain was cold; he wouldn't be able to get dry unless they either found shelter or went to one of their houses. Vin looked back down and shook Rain, trying to get his attention. "Do you think you can stand?"

[[If you ask me, Vin should be happy.o 3o Rain's gonna be the sick one for once. 8D]]
Rain thought he could vaguely hear Vin arguing with himself in the background, after having been slapped by him, of course. Zoning back into the conversation after feeling Vin shaking him, Rain nodded his head, although regretted doing so a moment later when he suddenly felt dizzy again. ''Of course... I told you, I'm perfectly... Absolutely fine.''
With that, the rainbow-haired young man stood up rather awkwardly, stumbled, and fell over again. He sat still for a moment, waiting for the world to stop swaying and the ground to stop moving. Determined not to have Vin worrying about him, he pushed himself to his feet again, forcing himself to stand still. It took some concentration, though, a fact clearly evident in his ex pression.
''See? Just fine.'' He grinned broadly, a rather crooked smile, as if to emphasise his point.

[[he probably hasn't thought about that yet.]]
Vin watched Rain with a frown. Sighing, he moved beside the other and put one of his arm's around Rain's waist awkwardly. "Put your arm around my shoulder; I'll help you walk." Vin figured that they weren't going to get very far by the way Rain had gotten up. Vin knew that he couldn't carry the other, she he was going to have to help Rain walk. Dear god, he was probably blushing.

Rain did as he was told, for once not arguing. He was too tired to, and besides, Vin felt warm. So it didn't matter all that much. ''Yeah... Just keep... Walking around. Get to the forest quick.'' He was referring to the small forest they had passed on their way over, and motioned with his free arm in the general direction Vin himself had come from, not that he knew that.
With that he began walking, gritting his teeth and trying to rely as little as possible on his friend. Even so, he was still resting quite heavily on him, much to his distaste. He'd probably hear about this little incident for the next thirty odd years, but some things just couldn't be helped, more's the pity.

[[lol; 'little' incident?]]
Vin gripped Rain's hand, the one that was on his shoulder, and attempted not to step on any rocks. Thank god the ground was sand instead of pebbles. Vin had the feeling that if he fell, Rain would end up coming down with him.
They got to the forest, which reminded Vin of the other forest they had passed to get to the cliff. Maybe it was the same. He would have to ask Rain about it later. He navigated through it the best he could, and they ended up out of the forest after some time.

[[... This is Rain. Everything is little. 8I]]
Rain decided he liked the feeling of Vin's hand, and held on as tightly as he was able in return. Everything around him was hazy, as if there was a thick mist. Maybe it was just the rain. For some reason, though, he got the feeling he'd hit his head at some point when in the water.
''Uhm...'' Pondering over the reaction he'd get off Vin's parents, he decided his own house was a much better idea. ''My house... My parents are out of town.'' Said parents were at some convention or business thing, something to do with his father's work. He didn't really pay any attention to his parents, if it could be helped. It was much easier that way.

Vin nodded and grunted in reply. He thought for a second before fully remembering where Rain's house was. It wasn't that far away, thank god, so they would be out of the rain soon. He was surprised to see that there was just about no one out on the street, walking or driving. Was it getting late? Vin couldn't tell; he neither had a watch or phone and the sun was currently being blocked out. Maybe an actual storm with lightning and thunder was coming. He hoped not. He couldn't help but worry constantly about his trees when it stormed.
Looking both ways even though he knew there were no cars, Vin crossed the road. He could see Rain's house through the thick raindrops. "Is your door locked?"

Rain laughed, shaking his head, making some kind of 'hnn' noise when he realized that wasn't such a good idea. ''Heh... No... Do I look like the kind of guy that... remembers to do something like that?'' Pulling down the handle, Rain pushed open the door, glancing back at the sky. It was dark, very dark. It was either late or there was going to be thunder. Brilliant, he loved thunder. Thunder was just... Amazing.
Suddenly realizing that if it really was late, Vin was likely to get in trouble, he made a mental note to remind him to phone home and tell his parents he'd be spending the night in Rain's house. No way was he sending him home if there was going to be a storm, he'd be up all night worrying about him. No, Vin could either sleep in his room or the spare room, whichever he wanted to do.
