Dakota's heart raced faster and faster as he got closer to the boy.so close he could feel Riku's heart beat.Twisting butterflies in knots into his stomach.Just knowing Riku felt the same way.Dakota had never felt like this about a boy before.He was alive once more,for the first time in almost a year.It was like fire trailing dwon his body where he was touching ricku.His mind going a thousand miles per hour.Then he turned,His eyes shifted to kyin,seeing he was sound asleep.Then looking to Riku's handsome face.There was no way he could sleep now. "hey,i know we are supposed to sleep but...."Pausing for a second "kyin is alseep,and there's no way i can sleep. Atleast not tonight,but if im bothering you i can leave you alone" he smiled nervously.

Riku shook his head. "Nah.. I can't really sleep right now. I don't really think I can on sore shoulders and a sore neck. He sat up and looked at Dakota. He wanted to just hold the boy. He hated seeing someone who actually felt the way he did. Loosing love and all hope. But he didn't want that for Dakota. He looked at him and gently placed a kiss on Dakota's head. "Hey, don't think you have to leave. I enjoy company amd I don't want you to feel alone."

A sympathetic look cast upon dakota's face. "im so sorry" sadness suddenly switched into anger "did he hurt you?" his eyes ablaze with fury.Somehow even the they just met,he so badly wanted to protect Riku.He knew what his uncle could do...something no human should ever expierence "be careful....i know what he can do...." The his faced tensed in agony. "in the first couple weeks he was very abusive to me he...." he choked up,words becoming hard to come to his mouth,to even speak of it "he...raped me....." Looking away in shame.Flashes of his uncles face,his piercing eyes,hatred grew inside him,wanting to throw up.Feeling a punch in the chest.emotions so deep and so broken tears couldnt even come to his swet eyes. he still stayed close to Riku,as he was kissed on the forehead his heart leaped just a little from the stabbing pain of what his uncle caused.His emotions were a slushie;sad,happy,angry,passionate,dead yet still alive.Not thinking straight but in instinct He paused looking into the fire for a breif moment. "thanks for being here..."

"No problem.. I mean, I've never been raped yet.. Bu he has already kicked me, which is why I came stumbling down the stairs.. He's a pretty strong and bruly man. It's not fun." He held Dakota and held him tightly. "Don't worry about yourself now. Kyin is a great protector. I'm sure he won't let your uncle abuse you." He smiled and gently kissed Dakota's head again. He gently wiped Dakota's eyes to stop any tears from spilli g down his cheek. "Don't cry. Your uncle seems to like the feeling of making people cry or just the feeling of making someone become completely at his mercy.

Dakota pondered Riku's words of his unlce.How it seemed he fed on the cruel drug that is power. He smiled at Riku,it felt like someone cared about him,a feeling that was so rare in this world.That anyone would be kind enough to stop and take notice,let alone help or care.Dakota Scooted closer,close enough that their thighs touched.Sliding his arm around Riku.He felt safe.Dakota turned to Riku,meeting his deep passionate eyes that alight in the darkness with Riku. He gulped nervously,brining his face closer.Feeling Riku's warm breath on his face,Dakota put his hand on Riku's chest. "would it be out of line to ask if i could.....kiss you?" His voice was smooth and quiet,no louder then the crackle of the now roaring fire.His blood felt like lave pumping through his veins,heart racing faster and mind screaming to just take the leap,to just kiss him already,drunk with lust.

Riku chuckled slightly at Dakota's question. "No.. You can kiss me if you want to." He smiled and gently brought his lips to Dakota's. He knew the boy needed someone who he could rely on, someone who cared and helped him. He wanted to be that person. He could feel his heart pounding against his chest. He wanted to keep this biy safe.

Dakota gently pressed his pale lips onto Riku's.Sending shivers of warmth down his body.He tilting his head to the side to deep the passionate kiss.Wrapping his arms around Riku holding his body to his.His heart pounding so loud he could hear it in his ears.The pull towards this boy was stronger than Dakota had ever expierenced,even more than towards natalie.The girl he once loved so,Dakota felt confused and guilty.was he cheating on Natalie even if she was gone? At the same time it was with a boy,Dakota couldnt deny his lust for him but....what would his passed on family say? they would have disowned him.Even if it didnt matter now he couldnt help but hold it in the back of his mind.Dakota gently pulled away.Looking around the roon and to Kyin who still seemed to be asleep,then back to Riku.Hoping he wouldnt notice something wrong.Dakota sat back down and looked to Kyin.

Kyin smiled and looked at Dakota. "Got comfy with my brother, haven't you Sir Dakota?" He sat up and looked at Riku who was flushed red. He smiled and gently placed his hand on Dakota's cheek. "You're too cute..." he smiled and sat back on his shirt. "Well, I'll go to sleep for real this time and let you and Riku have fun or to just talk." He laid down and curled up. The fire warming his skin. Riku blushed a lot when his brother spoke. "Sorry Dakota.. I had no clue he was awake.." He hugged Dakota slightly and then looked at him through sorrowful eyes. He felt so bad that his brother had just interrupted them and probably made Dakota uncomfortable. |

Dakota looked towards kyin,embarrased he blushed slightly.He smiled trying to take it with a grain of salt.Looking at the flames he sighed as Kyin went back to sleep. "its okay,so.....anyways" Dakota scooted over closer to Riku,wrapping his arms around him.Looking up into Riku's eyes "honestly....i just realized i know nothing about you,so tell me about youself?" he smiled once again warmly trying to make the situation better even if he was wondering what tomorrow would be like with just kyin.

Riku looked at Dakota. "Well... Let's see.. I'm the oldest of me and Kyin. Only by a few hours though. His mother and my mother were both in labor at the same hopsital. My mom was brought it earlier than his, so that's how I'm the older one. My father is also Kyin's. He was married to Kyin's mom and had an affair with my mother. Since his father was highly connected... They saw my mother as a threat to the order of the heirs. So... She was targeted. He failed many many times. She remarried and forgot about my father.." He looked at the fire and remembered how his mother died "Well.. Years later, when I was about 5. He finally found our home. He went in and set the place ablaze. He took me, wanting to keep his son alive. And well, she was killed off... My father too.. And he brought me into his home." He looked at Dakota, wanting to know what he was thinking.

Dakota's eyes grew sympathetic,he couldnt imagine having to live with a man who had killed Riku's family. "im so sorry.....i know sorry is only a word but i really am,having to live with the man who killed your mother,im just...im sorry,i know it doesnt mean much but,just know im here for you. I know we just met but ive never felt this way about anyone else before" he paused,regretting the last few words,maybe he said too much.After all they did just meet. Dakotas eyes traced back too Riku,look down he saw the collar Riku wore,it made him sick with hatred for his uncle.Dakota got close to Riku,lightly pressing his lips onto his for a split second before he unbuckled the inhumane thing from his neck. Holding it in his hand then throwing it into the roaring flames. His eyes shone gold in reflection,his fac determined and loving. "we need to leave this place,if i dont get rid of my uncle first." |

Riku smiled and watched the collar burst into flames. "I will get out. Don't worry.. I've escaped from my masters' houses many times... A pagoda styled one. A dungeon typed one. A castle.. Such like that." He hugged Dakota. "I know your here for me. Well, then again. That man did die. And Kyin's older sister took over teh family. She never liked me.. So she beat me. and she was the one who gave me this scar. With a blazing whip." He sighed and put his hand on his chest, tracing the scar slightly.

Dakota looked over to Riku,he gulped,swallowing down a wimper of dread the surged through him.Biting his lip so hard it almost bled.His tanned skin red with the hear of the blistering fire.Shaking his thick shaggy hair from his eyes he pulled his face to Riku. Restinig his hand on Riku's lower waist. "take me with you....please,i cant live with this man. I cant live without you,and i know we've just met but when i look you i just.....know.When we kissed...it was like nothing ive ever felt before. Do you...feel the same?" His voice higher pitched and crackled,serious and hopeful.Yet still tinged with a wise sadness that always hung in his voice,making him sound older than his years.A wry smile came upon his face,hoping he could trust Riku who seemed so comfortable with everything.Dakota wished to be that way but he couldnt deny that his tragic childhood made him who he was.It made every essence of life so much more important to live by,and morals that became simple in his mind.To just be happy,even if it was hard to pull off.Dakota's hand slid up around Riku's body gently and to around his back,he put his other arm around Riku and pulled himself close to Riku.So that dakota's torso was pressed against his,laying his head of Rku shoulder.Slightly he held Riku,his heart beating fast again,he sighed calming down. "we need to escape this place."

"We do need to escape..." He held Dakota closely. "And of course i'd take you away from this dreaded place. I'd hate to leave you or anybody that lives here.. This place isn't suited for anybody to live it.." He sighed and held Dakota tighter, sliding his hand down and around Dakota's hips. He hated seeing this boy alone here. "If you don't get out.. I'd stay with you while my brother tries to get us out of here. Kyin is a master designer. I just execute anythin he needs to.

Dakota's eyes shifted to the cracks in the wall,it was still pitch black outside.there was still time. Dakota paused looking to the dark outline of the doorway that led into a small damp room.His face became serious as he remebered the way he snuck out to visits natalie's grave.A small hole in the corner of that closet type room. "i know a way to get out of here...now." looking to Riku,his eyes look straight into Riku's to show how serious he was. |

Dakota face didnt change,still determined and in love,even if it did seem drastic."but...there's a hole in the corner in that room,it goes under the garden and out to the woods,we would be virtually invisable.I used it to visit natalie's grave, im not sure why i didnt think of it sooner, My uncle is such a heavy sleeper,there's no way he would wake up and hear us.Its about eighty miles to the city.I three week trip but it would be worth it.We would never have to see that man again. Ever."His eyes a flame. "my uncle is too stupid to suspect anything...after all he did let down here,with you" Smiling playfully,Dakota leaned in and pressed his lips against Riku's.
