Deak glared down at Jason as he hugged Shadow. He jumped down from the roof, landing next to Shadow. "I knew she was alive." he crossed his arms. Then Shadow introduced him to Mary. "Yeah it rings a bell." He laughed and playfully nudged her. He extended his hand out to the girl. "I'm Deak, Nice to meet you." he smiled at her.

Jade walked up to the group, looking around. "I'd love to get know Mary better, but I think we should get out of here. It gives me the chills that all those walkers just suddenly decided to come to us." She said placing her sword back in the scabbard that was attached to the belt around her waist.

Mary grew afraid and hid behind Shadow. Shadow was a bit surprised, she just met the girl and she was already warming up to her. "Jade's right. We should all get inside and secure the place better. Maybe tomorrow morning we can build a strong fence around te place. Just to be safe." Shadow said. Mary then followed Shadow inside and looked around. "You can just sit on the chair, Mary." Shadow said. She then sat next to her and motioned for the others to come as well.
Jason blushed a bit but stopped after Deak came down and seemed a little angry. He then went to the kitchen and prepared a plate for Mary and came into the living room with Shadow and Mary. "I thought you'd be hungry." He said giving it it Mary. "Thanks. nd I kinda was.." She said sweetly.

When they stopped to sleep at a hotel the walkers came in and took away her mom.Mary was lucky enough to hide in the closet and when they left she had been hiding out in the hotel since.

Deak felt a bit sad when Mary hid behind Shadow instead of greeting him. It reminded him of how Daisy was with him. He followed the others in along with Jade. Deak sat down next to Shadow and leaned the rifle against the chair.

Jade looked at all of them getting comfortable. "I'm going to need help patching up this whole house." She rubbed her neck awkwardly. "We can do it later though, I just want to be sure that doesn't happen again." Jade said, concerned.

"I doubt thats going to happen again, but if it does, then we'll just have to kick more Zombie ass." Deak said shrugging. Then he looked to Mary. "But just to make sure everyone's safe, I guess we could start."

Shadow only smiled. "Ah, come on. We'll be ok for tonight. Besides we need the rest, after the big crowd we had to kill today." Shadow reasurred them. Mary then looked at Shadow, confused and delighted at the same time. "You guys have beds..? I havent really slept on one since the monsters came.." Mary said hopefully. "Yea, dont worry kid. You'll be safe and comfortable from now on." Shadow said. Mary smiled a bit. "Are you sure Shadow? I just dont want another war like the one today.." Jason asked. "Dont worry guys! Mary, you should get to bed for now.." Shadow said. Mary then followed her upstairs and let her sleep on her bed. Shaow then came bak down and sighed. "So what about Mary? Think we still have enough food to go around?" she asked them.

Deak shrugged. "We still have food from last time we ate, It just probably won't last long." he guessed. "We'll probably have to move soon if we want all of us fed." Deak sat up straight. "Your call Shadow."

Jade nodded at Deak's first comment. "Deak's right, we might have to start finding a knew place soon." Jade said, agreeing with his second comment. "It would be useless to board the place up if were just going to run out of food." She stated.

Shadow thought for a second. "The town I was at, it had a market. Im sure it still has enough food to last us for a couple weeks. Besides, were else are we gonna find a mansion owned by a friends?" she asked. " But the town's dangerous. There's still hundreds of them there. I cant afford taking Mary with me but we cant leave her alone either. Will either of you care to stay with her..? We need Jason's muscle." she stated. Jason then came behind her, hearing what they were saying, and felt appreciated that Shadow thought he was strong enough to bring on a dangerous mission. But then again, he also hated the idea of going to the town and having to face so many herds.
(( Maybe Jade should go.. But idk XP If either of them go there is still a good advantage: If Jade goes maybe Shadow will learn to acdept her. If Deak goes he can try to talk to her and ask why she was feeling like that or Shadow realizes she has feelings for him. Your choice.))

Deak stood up immidiantly. "I'll go." he said. "It would probably be good to have these two with Mary." he guessed. Deak wasn't good with kids, with Daisy as an exception. He doesn't really know how to comfort someone in hard times, plus no one would want him to get in one of his mood swings in front of Mary. Deak felt like he needed a chance to prove himself. Even though others thought well of him, he wasn't good enough in his own eyes. In his childhood, standing in the shadow of Zeak never really helped. Zeak was always better then him at everything, or at least thats what Deak thought. He wanted to show Shadow he wasn't just her dead boyfriend's best friend, that she could rely on him.

Shadow was a bit confused when Deak said he should go and leave the others behind. "Um, ok? I guess that could work. Jason I need you here along with Mary. Just in case anything happens I know you can handle it." Shadow said. Jason's smile faded away when Shadow said to just stay here with Jade. "Fine.." he said reluctantly. Shadow then reched for her dagger that looked like a bloody mess. She then akwardly put it back into her belt. She didnt want the others to freak out and find out she was there killing zombies. But she figured they would think it was only from the battle they just had. Shadow nodded her head at Deak and opened the door. "Lets go then.." she said as she waited for Deak to come out as well.

Deak followed her out the door. "You don't have to hide the fact that you killed zombies." Deak said as he walked. "They don't count as human any more." He shrugged. Honestly, he didn't care who or what she killed. He knew she was a killer her all her life, he didn't expect her to stop now. Besides, now was the perfect time to kill.

Shadow slightly rolled her eyes. "Yea I know. But I dont think everybody wants to see zombie guts on my blade. And anyway, dont act like you dont care.. You cared when I killed the others, and when I ended.. Z-Zeak.." she said harshly, though when she got to Zeak her voice softened a bit. Shadow wasnt even sure what Deak thought about her murders, or about anything. She just wanted to get this over with. Shadow stayed silent fora long time until she saw the town. "Just right over this hill. Theres cars all over the place.. Its horrible. Some of them were trapped in their seatbelt and eaten alive. Others were trapped and afraid.." she said sadly.

"Yeah, because Zeak was my best friend, what do you expect?" Deak paused. "And I only freaked out because I hadn't met those ass holes yet." He crossed his arms. "Just know that I'll always be at your side no matter what you do." He said, and then there was a long silence. When Shadow mentioned how people got trapped in their cars, Deak honestly didn't know what to say. Yeah he felt bad for them, but its not like he could do anything about it. Once they got over the hill Deak saw the store. And walkers. Lots of walkers. He raised his sniper. "I can clear a path, and then we'll run inside ok?" He said. He felt happy for the fact that the sniper had a silencer on it.

Jade looked to Jason after a few minutes of silence. Then she looked over to Mary. "Is there anything you want to do?" She asked in a soft voice. "We have some board games up stairs, and a DS if you want to play on that?" Jade asked. She wanted Mary to feel at home until Shadow got back. Having this little girl worry was the last thing Jade wanted.

Shadow readied her dagger again and watched as Deak cleared enough Walkers to get inside. "Yea, yea.." she muttered. Shadow thought enough of them were cleared. "Ok. Lets go.." she said and ran silently without even waiting for Deak. She got to the alley of the store and breathed in and out. Shadow then grabbed her dagger once again and sliced a couple of heads open and got inside. "Ok, just grab whatever. Medicine, Food, Blankets and more supplies if were lucky enough." Shadow said to Deak. She then found a few energy bars and some Gatorade and stuffed them in her bag. "Deak. I-I just wanted to say.. thanks. For being there for me and everything. And sorry for mentioning Zeak, I was a bit ticked off.. God that sounded corny.." she laughed a bit.
Mary smiled up at Jade. "Thanks. I kind of want to play a board game, my mommy never really had time for playing with me so much." Mary said, still smiling. She then ran upstairs and rumaged through stuff, looking for Chutes and Ladders or some other fun game.
Jason smiled as Mary ran upstairs. "Its a little weird to think we all killed in front of her like that. When Shadow had her on the tree? I wouldve cried, Ill tell you that." he smiled and followed after Mary, knowing Jade would come up as well.

Deak followed Shadow inside. He closed the glass doors behind him, just to be sure nothing would follow them in. He grabbed a few plastic bags and stuffed food and drinks into them. When Shadow said thanks, Deak had a small smile on his face, but it was big enough to notice. Before he could say any thing, he heard pounding on the doors. A crowed of walkers had gathered outside. Luckily the doors were pull, not push, but the glass would hold them for long. Deak looked over to Shadow, as if asking what to do. "We can take them right?" He asked questionably.
Jade smiled as Mary ran up stairs. She shrugged when Jason talked about killing in front of her. "She probably understands that they would have killed us if we didn't." She guessed. Following Jason up the stairs, she was happy to find Mary digging through the board games. Jade sat down next to her, ready to play a few games.
)(I was thinking it could be like the beginning of the actual series where they're in the store for a while and the Walkers try to get in? I gives Deak and Shadow time to get their romance on! XD)(

Shadow looked back to see the ugly creatures pounding against the door. Glass wouldnt last long and there was way too many of them pushing on it. "To be honest. I dont know, theres a lot. We should just be careful and make sure they dont get in." Shadow suggested. She then continued putting in food until there was none to be found. She then walked to the counter and jumped over it and looked through the medicine cabnets, trying to find some sort of medical wrap. All this brought back a memory she had when she was 11. Shadow and some friends were robbing candy from a markey. It was the best fun she ever had- well up until now. Thinking of that time, she couldnt help but smile after remembering that one of her friends had been caught in the store and they were out there, running for their lives as one of them was inside the store and probably talking to police by now. She shook the thought away and kept searching.
Mary had pulled out The Game of Life and smiled. "Look! I love this game! Me and my babysitter used to play it all the time!" she saîd with excitment. Jason eyed the game. Hm. No, 'Youll be eaten by zombies' card. Jason then helped her organize the game pieces and let Mary choose her character and waited for Jade to choose as well as he picked up a blue figure.

Deak nodded and proceded to collect useful items. He made his way to the back of the store, to the far corner, away from Shadow. He saw what looked like a person huddled in the corner. He was mistaken. It was no person, little did Deak know, it was a kid walker. He put his hand on its shoulder. "Hey are you-" Deak froze as the walker turned to face him. It's face was all to familiar. He dropped the bags and just stood there. "D-Daisy?" He forced out. Suddenly the small walker jumped him, slamming him to the floor. "Damn it!" He yelled as his head hit the hard tile. Managing to push her off of him, he pinned the once sweet little girl down. He pulled a small knife out, but couldn't bring himself to kill her. She banged her head against his, and blood dripped down his forehead. She went crazy for the blood, and he couldn't hold her back much longer. )(Is that ok? I don't know weather your ok with me playing as zombie Daisy, but we could both control her if thats ok? "^.^)(
Jade gladly took the green character and put it at the starting point. "Mary, would you like to go first?" She asked. Jade couldn't help but wonder if Shadow and Deak were ok. She would hate it if they didn't both come back.

Shadow turned to see a zombie Daisy on top of Deak. She was scared and angry at the same time. Angry beause Jake came back into her mind, good thing he was dead though. Shadow grabbed her daggr and didnt even hesitate. She drove it into her head and notice the blade come out the other way and almost stab Deak in the eye. Soon, the body stopped moving and Shadow retracted her blade. She couldnt believe she had done it yet again, and this time she showed no emotion. Shadow then rolled Daisy off of Deak and looked down to him, a serious look painted on her but deep inside she was sorry. "She isnt suffering anymore.." Shadow said softly and helped Deak up, without saying another word.
Mary smiled and took a turn. She was glad when she ended up much ahead of the two of them. Jason had a small competitive side and he wasnt going to let Mary win. Not if he could help it. He then took a card and landed in a space just right above Mary. "AH HA!" He blurted out and felt weird and looked down at Mary who looked confued but was laughing since he was being such a dork. "Um, sorry." he said as hescraced the back of his head in embarrasment.

Deak accepted Shadows offer to help him up and got up. He just stood there and stared down at Daisy. "Why me?" he mumbled. "Why didn't I die instead of Zeak or Daisy? Why did I have to survive?!" He clenched his fists and bit his lip to keep himself from bursting into tears. "Why did I have to be the one to go through this." He said a softer tone. "I couldn't I at least be more like you?" He said and looked to Shadow. Deak felt like shooting himself right then a there. He didn't want to live anymore. He didn't want to see any more friends die. Deak heard the glass cracking, but ignored it and kept his gaze on Shadow.
Jade giggled and playfully pushed Jason. "Don't be sorry... I'm going to whoop your butt anyways!" she laughed and stuck her tongue out at him. She grabbed a card and ended up in front of him. "What did I say?" She laughed even harder. This was probably the most fun she's had in years.

Shadow was confused. "Shut up, Deak. Dont go insane on me! And whats this about you wanted to be like me? Come on, you seriously want to turn into this?!" she growled, motioning to herself, her bloody self. Shadow then looked behind him t see a Walker punch its fist into the glass. Shadow was enraged to notice it too well though. Just go and kill it Shadow. That way it wont bother you as you speak. Her good side told her. Shadow saw no bad in it but another voice, a different voice spoke to her. Yea thats right. Kill, Shadow. Kill, Kill, Kill, Kill.. Shadow ignored the voice and waited for Deaks reply.
Jason laughed and continued playing, but then noticed Mary's figure at the end already. His eyes widened as he noticed he was defeated. "No!!!" Jason cried out and frowned. Mary laughed and smiled at Jade.

Deak covered his eyes with his blonde hair. "I'd do anything to not feel emotions. To not feel mental pain, to not feel sorrow and hate!" he paused and took a deep breath. "To not feel love." He said in a quiet voice. "Not that you don't, but I wish I didn't." All he wanted was for those zombies to crash through the glass and end his life. Maybe Shadow would get out a live, but he wouldn't want to try. He was starting to loose all hope. He was clinging on to his last bit of faith in the world. So far, Shadow was the only thing standing between him and death.
Jade let out a burst of laughter. She put a hand on Jason's shoulder and spoke through her giggling. "Why don't we play again?" She said with a grim smile. "Maybe you'll win... Or maybe not!" Jade challenged the boy.
)(God, It's so weird going from a horribly sad moment to a extremely happy one!)(
