Shadow smiled. "I can get those easy. But we'll have to wait for today to pass by. We need our rest." she stated. Shadow then ran to the end of the building she was standing on and jumped on a window ledge. She then climbed up window after window until she got to a high porch. "Come on then. Its not hard actually." she joked. Shadow then sat on the porch and swang her feet back and forth waiting for the boys to try to get up with her.

((Sorry! I've been brain dead with this yesterday! I'm sorry))
Zeak and Deak looked at each other, knowing they couldn't do that if their life depended on it. They both sighed. "Do you really expect us to do that!?" Deak called out. Zeak quickly looked around for a solution while Deak complained. He ended up noticing that every house had a flag on of those american flags with the iron poles that stuck out at least a few feet. Zeak nudged Deak and explained to him his plan. "What!? Even IF we did make it across that pole, the jump to the other one is to big!" Deak claimed. "Its worth a shot." Zeak said as he began to walk on the thin piece of iron. He made it the the end, seeing that maybe it was to much of a jump. But Zeak jumped anyways. He grabbed the next flag pole with his hand before he could fall to his doom. Zeak made it up fine. Deak did the same, but took much longer.

Shadow laughed as she saw them struggle with getting up. "They had a ladder right there ya know." she said pointing to a metal ladder hanging down. "Oh well nice jump by the way Zeak." she complimented with a bit of a sarcastic tone. Shadow then clibed in the window and loooked around. Papers were thrown everywhere and the floor was caked with dirt. "Gross." she said to herself. She then walked into one of the rooms and busted down a door. She then went inside and looked through the closet until she found two guns. Shadow threw them both at Deak and Zeak and walked out the door. It was as if she knew the place inside-out already. Maybe because she did. Shadow then went to the top of the stairs and went inside a room. Though when she did one of those monsters where there. She was so scared she frooze in place as she watched it eating a girl about her age. Her blood boiled and she drove her weapon into its head. "How dare you.." she muttered under her breath.

Zeak looked away from the horrible scene. "I would suggest we burry her, if those walkers weren't out there." He sighed and put a hand on the girl's shoulder. "I'm sorry..." He said. "But I know I don't understand the pain your feeling right now." Zeak told her. Deak walked over to them and saw the mess. Now Deak, on the other hand was a bit less calm about it. "Burry her?! We don't even know if she's going to become one of them or not!" He overreacted. Zeak wanted to punch Deak for the girl, but he didn't.

Shadow sighed and nearly cried at the picture of her dead friend. She felt startled when Zeak put his hand on her shoulder. Shadow heard what Deak said and felt angry. "No hes right. I have to k-kill her.." she said, hesitating the word 'kill'. Shadow then cleard her throat and rose her dagger above the girls head. She shed a single tear and dropped the dagger into her head. After that Shadow felt terrible inside. "Im so sorry.. Im so sorry." she mumbled quietly as more years fell from her face.

Zeak sighed again. "At least she left this world as herself instead of one of 'Them'" Zeak tried to comfort her. There wasn't really anything he could do. He wanted every thing to go back to normal, but he realized that wasn't an option. Deak stoped into the kitchen to look for food. "I'm going to gather all the food I can find." He said with a bit of an annoyed tone. Zeak didn't know why he was in that mood at such a time. "Sorry about Deak, he can get like this sometimes. Hes not one to take thing lightly." Zeak paused. "I still don't know your name, and I don't know what to call you."

Shadow wiped the tears off her face and straightened herself up. "I-Its fine.." she muttered. She nearly glared at Deak for being so disrespectful to her friends death. Shadow then heard Zeak ask for her name. "Its um.. Shadow." she said a bit hesitantly. Everyone on the street knew her name but she didnt know if they did. What would they do if they knew she was the local 'Criminal' of the neighborhood.?

When Zeak heard her name, He knew exactly who she was. He smile and extended his hand. "Nice to meet you Shadow." He said. Deak also heard her name and ran back into the room, dropping the cans of food. "Your the Criminal Sadow?!" Deak called out as Zeak pushed him. "Soooo cooool!" Deak said ignoring Zeaks push. As Deak was over excited, Zeak scratched the back of his head in embarrassment. "Sorry about him, Hes been a fan of yours for a while."

Shadow gave them a light smile and now felt cheered up. She shook Zeaks hand and laughed as Deak came rushing in. "Yup the one and only." she said with a cocky smile. "And its nice to know I have some fans out there." she said. Shadow then looked around the house. "Ok well now that we have our equitpent we should sleep. Its getting late already." she said looking out the window to the dark sky. Shadow then led them around the house to a few bedrooms. "Pick whichever you like." she joked.

Zeak gave her a smile. "I just have to do something first." Zeak said as Deak checked out his room. Zeak walked over to the balcony and looked down at all the walkers and lifeless corpses on the street. He fell to his knees and shoved his face into his hands. It was so hard for him to keep his cool in a time like this. He was lucky Deak and himself were alive, yet he would rather not have to go through this. Deak always looked up to Zeak, so Zeak felt if he ended his life, Deak would no longer respect him as a friend or brother. So many things were going on in Zeak's head.

Shadow nodded her head as Zeak went to the balcony. She could see by the look on his face it was all to much for him. "Well I'll be going to bed now." she told Deak. Shadow then ran upstairs to a room and laid in the bed tiredly. When she fell asleep all she could dream about was how she killed her friend like that. -DREAM- "Hey Shadow. Now that I know your the Criminal are you going to protect me?" she asked. Shadow smiled "Of course. Your like a little sister to me." Shadow said kindly. They both stared at the city in silence. "Just promise me you will. That no harm will come to me?" she asked holding out her pinkie. Shadow smiled and pulled out her pinkie too promising. "I promise." she said truthfully. After that a picture of Shadow killing her flashed her mind. -END DREAM-
Shadow shot up in her bed and looked around frantically. "Just a dream.." she reasurred herself

((Poor Shadow >.<)) Zeak was fast asleep in his bed, but still having nightmares. Deak, however, was up and about, but still half asleep. He happened to pass Shadow right when she jolted up. It made him jump a little but he stood at the door way. "Hey you alright?" He asked holding his stomach as it started to growl. "I was just going to eat a small snack." He said and rubbed his eyes. "Join me?" He asked.

Shadow continued to see the picture in her head. She couldnt believe she had done that in the first place. Deak then appeared at her door which scared her. "Um yea I..Im fine." she said. "And yea Ill join you." she said a bit more cheerfully. Shadow walked out of the bed and towards Deak. "So what hapoened to you guys before the whole Zombie thing hapoened?" she asked.

Deak walked into the kitchen, grabbed a can of fruit from a cabinet and sat down. "You mean how we became friends?" He asked opening the can. "Well in middle school he saved my ass." He said, reminding him of that day. "I was getting the crap beat out of me by these eighth graders, and I didn't think I was getting out of that. I was such a weakling in sixth grade." He paused, finally getting the can open and continued. "Thats when Zeak showed up. Even though he was the same age as me, he stud up to those guys." Deak gave Shadow some of the fruit. "He attempted to defend me, but he still got beat up. After those guys left, we just laid there... And laughed. Since then, We've been friends and I always looked up to him for it." Deak chuckled. "Seems like when ever I'm in trouble he's there." He smiled.

Shadow listened to Deaks story and took the fruit from his hand. As she began eating she hard about how Zeak defending Deak when they were in middle school. She then thought for a second and stop chomping on the pear. "Hey I knew you guys!" she exclaimed. "I saw those guys leave after Zeak came. They were really jerks." she stated. Shadow then remembered going up to them and beating one of the boys after the others left. "Since then,We've been friends and I always looked up to him for it" She heard him say. Shadow then sighed and thought about her friend. "Yea thats how Mary felt about me.." she said her voice a bit hushed. "Mary and I were good friends ,like you and Zeak, I was always there for her like a big sister." she said. Shadow then looked around the home a bit and remembered when they would come in here as little girls and play 'Tea Party', no matter how much Shadow hated it.

"So That girl, was Mary?" He asked sympathetically. Deak sighed. "I'm sorry for being a total ass before." He apologized. "I didn't know." He stared down at his fruit. He felt horrible about how he acted. "If we had gotten here earlier... I could have- I mean we could have saved her!" He started to blame himself. 'if only' He thought to himself. "I feel the same way about protecting Zeak. He has this heart disease, and he can't do every thing he wants to, but I try as hard as I can to get him to do things to help it. He refuses to accept he has it though. Like he thinks it makes him look weak, or something..." Deak confessed.

Shadow sighed and looked at Deak. "I-Its fine. It wasnt your fault you know? You were scared and fear overwhelmed you." she said. Shadow really meant those things but anger was starting to boil up inside her. She squished the pear a bit to conceal her anger but she knew it showed a bit. Shadow then heard that eak had a heart disease. She calmed herself "Really? But what do you think will happen if theres some walkers surrounding us and his heart is acting up?" she asked with a hint of fear in her voice
