Deak stood up and looked at Jason, dusting himself off. "That's what... Best friends... Are for." Deak said, putting his hand on Jason's shoulder. He nodded, understanding why Jason couldn't stay with him. And once he left, Deak headed out of the room and into the forest that was next to the motel. He wanted to be at least a little helpful. As he got further in the woods, he heard something that stopped him dead in his tracks. It sounded like a small animal in trouble. If he saved it and brought it back, the others might see he wouldn't hurt any living thing, unless its to save one of his friends. When he found the animal, it was a kitten, who had gotten its paw stuck under a branch. Deak quickly threw it off and picked up the kitten. Once he had dragged his feet back to the motel, Deak knocked on the door of the room with Mary in it.
Jade Quietly followed Shadow. When Shadow asked that question, Jade smirked, in memory of the killing spree she had done to those walkers. "I was on my own." Jade said proudly. "It was, how do I say this, more fun. Not that you guys aren't fun. I just didn't have to hold back, you know?" Jade stated, knowing Shadow could relate.
Dave looked at Candy and Mary. "Let's just hope that walker didn't turn on that poor boy." He muttered. "I still don't trust that thing." He said. Dave was a little surprised when someone knocked on the door. He looked from the door to Candy.

Jason watched as Deak left to the forest. Something told him he should go, for the safety of Deak and the others. But something else told him to leave it, he could fiknd his way back. Jason then continued scanning the area and hoped Jade and Shadow would be alright.
Shadow slightly smiled and gave out a weak laugh. "Haha.. yea. I sometimes wish I never met Deak and Zeak. Before this I took good care of myself, I was practically on my own, except without zombies trying to get at me." she said. "Lets go into the medic store first, maybe get some bandages and a first aid kit." she ordered and turned off the flashlight and quietly walked over to it. She hid behind a small beat-up car and looked around to make it was clear. Unfortunatley there was a small group of them surrounding the store. "If they see us, dont run to the motel. Head into the forest and hopefully we'll loose them there, ok?" she whispered.
Candy looked to the door strangley and slowly reached for the knob. Once she opened it she saw Deak holding a kitten. "Oh, um.. Deak right? Sh-Shouldnt you be in your room, dear? And why do you have that cat?" she asked, fear tinting her voice. Mary saw the kitten and rushed to Deak. "Oh a kitty!" she exclaimed and stroked it gently. "Where did you find it?" Mary asked, still cooing as the small kitten mewed.

Deak looked at the happy little girl, known as Mary, petting the kitten. "It was... Stuck... So I helped it..." Deak forced out. He handed the kitten to Mary and put his hand on his chest. "See... I'm good." Deak stepped closer. "Won't... Hurt..." He tried to explain. The two adults seemed like they were still afraid. He didn't know how else to prove himself. He held his hand out to Mary. "You trust... Right?" Deak asked her, butting his lip.
Jade laughed. "I would agree with you, but I can't say I wish you guys didn't find me. I was getting out of controll." Jade sighed and walked beside Shadow. She nodded to the plan and slowly crept inside the building. She pulled out her sword, knowing the gun wasn't needed, since it could easily slice through bones. If the walkers heard them, it would be a sitch to take that small group out.
Shivers when up Dave's spine as Deak walked in. He started talking, and Dave just felt worse about that thing being in here with them. When it reached out its hands towards Mary, that was all Dave needed to freak out. "Nope. This isn't going to happen. I don't trust you one bit, and I have no idea why all these kids do! Why are they so clueless? Saving a cat doesn't prove anything!" Dave said in an irritated voice. He grabbed the knife. Mary had left on the bed and stabbed Deak right under his ribs. Deak was shocked, and slowly looked where the knife was wedged into his body. He coughed and took the knife out. His hands were now a bloody mess, with his own blood. Deak smiled and stuck his hands in Dave's face. "Walkers... Don't bleed..." Deak smiled.

Mary looked up at Deak with caring eyes as she held the little kitten. Before she could explain, Dave freaked out and stabbed Deak. Mary screamed and Candy grabbed his arm. "Dave!!" she barked. But before she went on, she noticed Deak bleeding. She couldnt help but smile at the blood, no matter how creepy it may have looked. "Deak..! Y-Your bleeding!" she beamed and hugged him with all her might. Mary, on the other hand, was confused. "H-How? How canyou be so happy?! Deak is hurt, of course he is bleeding!" she squealed.
Shadow drew her dagger and charged forward and sliced a head in half. The groaning and moans. Walkers began trying to grab her. She sliced and stabbed as quickly as she could and looked back to Jade to make sure she was ok.
Jason heard screaming and quickly rushed to the room, his gun pointing mid-air as he rammed into the door with all his strength. "What happened-" he stopped as he saw Deak bleeding, not the rotten blood Walkers usually bleed, human blood, actual human blood. "D-Deak.." he said, astonished and joined the hug with Candy.

Deak smiled a big smile and hugged Jason and Candy. He was trying not to get his blood on them, but he figured they didn't care. Deak was overjoyed that they finally excepted them. He looked down at Mary, still smiling. "It means I'm healing." Deak said. His own eyes widened. He had said a whole sentence with out pausing or needing to force out words. If Deak didn't feel the need to keep his cool, He would have been bursting into tears.
Dave's eyes widened. "I-Its, I mean, He's bleeding!" He looked down at mary's bloodied knife on the floor, then back up to Deak, Who now had said a full sentence. He was shocked. This shock soon turned into a spark of happiness. "I'm sorry." Dave said to Deak. Deak just smiled and stuck his tongue out. "Some one... pick up the phone... because I called it." Deak chuckled. Dave couldn't help but laugh when Deak said that.
Jade was holding her own against the walkers until the silent battle came to an end. She bit her lip, looking at the dead walkers scattered around the store. She sighed and grabbed a few bottles of aspirin, and more cold medicine. In the conditions they're living in, Jade suspected they would need this stuff. "What else do we need?" Jade asked, just over a whisper. For some reason she felt the need to be quiet.

Mary understood now and smiled widely and hugged Deak as well. "I knew you would heal.." she whispered as she squeezed him. "Wait, shouldnt we tell Shadow? She'll want to know." Mary said. Jason smiled slightly and looked down to Mary. "It'll be a surprise." he smiled.
Shadow looked around at the slain bodies and wiped her lip. "Ah, gross got it on my face.." she laughed silently. She then grabbed bandages and wraps and other medical supplies and stuffed them in her pack. "Um, maybe some more cold and fever medicine and some wraps. Mary is young and she will be more able to catch something." Shadow suggested. After finding more supplies she looked through the glass to the general store across the street. It seemed more Walkers were beginning to gather. She counted around 13, that didnt look good..
Candy couldnt belive what was happening. "Um wait, shouldnt we treat this? What if the steel was infected or-" she stopped to look down at the small wooden knife. Wooden? Why is it wooden? Did Mary carve it herself? Candy asked herself. "Mary where did you get that knife anyway?" she asked Mary. Mary stood silent for a bit but there was no reason to keep it secret. "Shadow gave it to me. Isnt it nice?" she said sweetly. Still a bit confused, Candy decided it probably wasnt a big deal.

Deak smiled as everyone except for Dave hugged him. Now that everyone excepted him, he was happy. He couldn't wait to be back to his old self. He looked around. "Now can I stay in the same room?" Deak laughed a little. He was surprised at how well his speaking was getting. He went from four words to full sentences in one night.
Dave sighed. He still didn't quite trust this kid, but he was staying with Shadow, so he knew Deak wasn't leaving anytime soon.
Jade giggled and grabbed more supplies. After getting more supplies, Jade went to stand next to Shadow, watching the Walkers increase in number. She sighed. "We can always sneak in the back if you think we can't take them." Jade shrugged. It looked like the Walkers were trying to get in, but hadn't yet succeded. There were probably people in there. People she suspected they would have to fight. "Lets hurry and get this over with so we can get back to the motel."

Jason smiled and nodded his head. Before going on though, he hugged him once more and kissed him on the cheek quickly. "Sorry, no homo man but.. I JUST LOVE YOU SO MUCH!" she exclaimed as he picked Deak off the ground. "And yes, you can stay in here.." he smiled as he scratched the back of his head. (( NO THAT WASNT A ROMANTIC KISS XD ))
Candy looked back to Dave who still didnt seem to sure about this. About anything for that matter. "Be happy. There's nothing to worry about anymore from this group. Deak is back to normal and.. I dont know what you think of Shadow. If anything, worry about Jade. I honestly dont think she looks very safe herself." Candy admitted quietly.
Mary grabbed the knife and rushed to the sink, hoping the water would turn on. Only a few sprinkles fell out and she grabbed them with her tongue. She was thirsty and that was much more important than cleaning a knife.
Shadow thught about onc more and decided to have a little challenge, she was beginning to like slicing their heads, probably not as much as Jade but she still liked it. Killing actual living people though, she hated. "Nah, lets go this way. It'll be easier to leave the general store once were done and we wont have to worry about them later." Shadow said and quietly opened the door. "Ok, lets get thisover with then." Shadow mumbled to herself and charged with her dagger in front of her and viciously stabbed a Walkers head just like before. She then took down another, and another and carefully tried not to get torn apart by the others.

Deak smiled a toothy smile. He laughed as Jason got super excited. He looked down at his feet, then back to Jason. "Thanks, for uh, not shooting me when I turned." He rubbed the back of his neck. Deak looked at his hands. They were regaining his natural skin color. He couldn't be happier, well when Shadow sees him, he couldn't be happier. Suddenly there was a sharp pain in his stomach. Deak fell to his knees holding his stomach. "Uh guys? I haven't eaten in a while..." He said, groaning in pain.
Dave stood up when Deak feel over. "Is he ok?" Dave asked worried. "Do I look ok?!" Deak hissed. "Don't you guys have any food we can give him until Shadow and Jade come back?" He asked, looking at Jason. Dave knew Walkers couldn't eat regular food, but had he really had nothing to eat?
Jade nodded and ran to the group of walkers. Jade stayed behind Shadow, making sure no walkers attacked her from behind. Once all the Walkers were dead, Jade turned to Shadow. "You should go get the stuff and I'll make sure nothing else comes. I'll yell to you if something happens." Jade said.

Shadow nodded her head and ran inside, hurriedly grabbing leftover cans of food and a few packages of fruit that were beginning to turn brown but were still ok to eat. There was a slice of raw steak left that she figured she could feed to Deak. She just hoped Jason kept him in the room. She found a couple cans of Chicken Noodle Soup; 2 bags of gapes; 5 cans of tuna; slice of steak; and 3 packages of peanuts. It wasnt exactly much but it was enough. She then went back outside to join Jade and showed her the bag of food. "We should go now." she said.
Jason smiled warmly and nodded his head. "Yea, no problem." Once Deak fell to the floor Jason feared he would die of starvation. It was a couple days since Deak hadnt eaten and that would surey be a painful death. He searched around for anything that would be edible-nothing. "J-Just wait, Shadow should be back soon with the food." Jason said.
Mary was afraid Deak was going to suffer and ran outside to see if Shadow was near or not. Of course she wasnt, perfect crisis.

Deak breathed deeply. "Hurry Shadow..." He mumbled. Slowly, Deak stood up and sat on the edge of the bed. "I'm, I'll be fine...for now." Deak said. He was trying to reassure himself he wasn't going to starve to death, but he was starting to run out of hope.
Jade nodded. "We should hurry, Everyone is probably hungry." Jade said, holding the bag of medicine. She quickly rushed to the motel and entered the room. There was a weird atmosphere. She looked at Deak who looked like he was almost fully healed, and was clutching his stomach. She turned back to Shadow with a worried look. "Shadow, you might want to hurry, and I don't think Deak will eat raw meat anymore." Jade said. "Honestly I'll take anything." Deak said, laughing weakly.

Once Shadow heard what Jade said she grew furious and began running up the steps. "Jason! I thought told you to-" she stopped once she saw Jason fully healed on the bed in the room. She widened her eyes and then smiled a wie smile, eyes red and tears stinging her eyes. "D-Deak?" she said and ran over to him and squezzed him. "How the hell did this happen?!" she asked amazed. Realizing he was probably starving, she pulled out a can of tuna and cracked it open for him to eat. "Not the best but its bettr than nothing." She beamed.
Jason smiled and walked up to Jade. "This is great. If Deak healed.. there could be a cure for the rest of the Walkers." Jason said smiling. "We just have to figure out the cure."
Candy felt like she was in a mance scene, except it was with teenagers. She silentlyclapped her hands together and smiled as Mary came and stood by her side. "So, everything is fine now, right?" she asked. Candy's smile fainted and she sighed. "Not entirely, sweetie. Not entirely.." she said.

Deak gave shadow a smile. "Thanks." He said, as he started to eat the tuna. He finished it in under a minute, letting out a sigh of relief. "I feel a lot better now." Deak looked to Shadow. He felt the need to hug her. He was healing after all. Deak reached out and gave Shadow surprise attack hug. "Did ya miss me?" He laughed. He thought about how the the walker that bit him, bit pretty deep. Letting go of Shadow, Deak pulled off his shirt, trying to examine the bite. It was now a big scar. He lowered his head. "If the people in the safe house saw this... They would think I was infected... They wouldn't let me in..." Deak sighed. He decided his friends safety was more important then his. "We're still going, and you guys are still staying there. Just because I screwed up and let some stupid zombie bite me, shouldn't have to put everyone else's safety at risk." He said with confidence.
Jade smiled when Deak said he felt better. She was extremely happy that Deak was healing. Like Jason said, it could lead to a cure, but none of them knew how this even happen. When Deak took off his shirt, the first thing she saw was a large red scar on Deak's left shoulder. She knew the safe house wouldn't let him in, but it couldn't hurt to try. She was afraid they would shoot him if they saw it though.

Shadow hugged him back and smiled. "Dont worry, I promise you'll get in with us." she said. If Deak had no chance of getting in, Shadow wouldnt go in. If anything, they'd have to cover up his bite mark with cloth or something and make sure nobody noticed once they got there. She then looked down to see Deak bleeding under his rib cage and saw the wooden knife she had gave Mary, covered in blood. "What the hell happened here?" she asked, a hint of anger in her voice. She then wuickly pulled out the medical wrap and put it on the wound.
Jason looked at the wound and glanced to Dave, not wanting to say he did it. He then left the room, expecting to heard argueing sooner or later from Shadow and Dave. Maybe even the others. He continued waiting for a Walker to at least amuse him.
Mary looked at the wooden knife an whimpered a little, almost thinking it was her fault for letting Dave get to it.She would hate to get Dave in trouble and cause him to leave the group as well, so she showed Shadow the kitten that Deak had rescued and put on a little smile.
"Deak saved it. I dont have a name for her yet, or him.. How do you even tell if its a guy or a girl?" she asked, putting on a clueless face. Shadow smiled and decided not to answer that question, she even forgot about her own question about Deaks wound. "Its adorable Mary. Here, feed it some tuna and we can take care of its name later ok?" she said as she handed Mary a an of open tuna. "Ok guys, we got enough food to last us a couple more days. I know its not a lot but its something." she said as she rolled out the cans and packages of food. She then showed Deak the raw meat. "I thought you were still dead so I could feed you this." she said and put it aside.

Deak put on a smile. "Thanks." He said to Shadow. When she asked about the wound, he didn't want to rad Dave out. After all, he practically helped him prove he was healing. Looking around, Deak sighed. " I, uh, wanted to prove i was healing, so I stabbed myself?" Deak scratched his head in embarrassment at how weird that sounded.
Dave looked down at his feet as he decided weather he would let Deak take the blame or not. "No, Deak you don't have to do that." He sighed and looked to Shadow. "I stabbed him, because I didn't believe he was healing. I thought he would attack us sooner or later. I was scared, so I picked up the sharpest thing I could find and stabbed him. He started bleeding, and not that rotten stuff those walkers bleed." Dave confessed. "Sorry." He said looking at Deak."
Jade looked around, not seeing Jason in the room. She knew interrupting this whole mess would get her no where so she decided to join Jason outside. It was a little chilly, causing Jade shiver a bit. "Having fun out here?" She laughed, seeing no walkers were in sight. "I thought I would keep you company until the whole mess in there gets sorted out." She shrugged.
