Adderstrike padded from the nursery, whiskers twitching in amusement at the kits. He blinked in the bright sunlight as his eyes adjusted. The sun made his fur shine and he felt its warmth immeadeately.

Eaglstrike nodded, "Thank you Lionstar," she mewed before walking out of the den. Her dark russet fur seemed to soak up to sunlight as she lay down on one of the many smooth rocks that littered the camp. She licked her fur, her eyes closed in rapture as she cleaned herself.

Adderstrike watched as Eaglestrike lay down next to his favorite spot wiht an angry hiss. He lay down next to her anyway, but payed no mind to the she-cat beside him. His green eyes watched the birds that soared in the sky and his whiskers twitched whenever one swooped lot to the ground after a bug. He watched intently and waited fot the opportunity for one to get close enough for him to strike.

Eaglestrike yawned silently then lay her head on her paws, her eyes half closed as she lazily watched her surroundings. Doommkit seemed to be running around crazily, chasing her tail. Doomkit glared at her tail as she ran around in a circle, staying tantalizingly out of her short reach. She growled and swiped out, but missed it again. (Kitty antics <3) |

Adderstrike watched as a bird begane to dive at a beetle about two foxlengths away from him. The powerful tom bunched his mucles and prepared to spring. As the bird grabbed the beetle, Adderstrike launched forward, catching the startled bird and silencing it with a quick bite to the neck. He whispered a quick thanks to StarClan before picking up the bird and setting it on the freshkill pile.

Adderstrike's mouth twitched in a smile, "Why thank you." he purred, flexing his claws. If the attention had been form anyone else, he would have ignored it, but praise from his future apprentice made him smile.

Adderstrike chuckled softly, "This wasnt taught to me. I learned to catch flying birds on my own. My mentor wasnt very helpful, he was too busy courting a she-cat from another clan." he thought bitterly, "he never had much time for me."
