Ooc:// Kay! ^.^ Which means Nicky is still learning his name. lol. Bic:// The smirk on Nicky's face fell as his blue gaze rested on one of the new farm hands, who seemed to be having a bit of difficulty adjusting to the farm life. "Hey. You okay?" Nick asked walking over towards him, leaning against one of the wodden poles holding up the horses pens. "Not as fun as you would have thought huh?" This made Nicolas laugh lightly shaking his head. "It's not as bad as it may seem really. If your okay with the early hours, hard work, and well...that." Nick used his hand to motion to a wheel barrel full of horse manure. "It gets better so don't sweat it. In fact im runnin some errands in town. Wanna join me? I could use some extra muscle in loading some of the feed. It's not really a one man job" Nick said bringing up his hand and running it threw his now black messy hair. "I'll also pay for lunch. Whatya say?" Nick gave off a warm smile wondering how exactly the boy managed to land a job on his father's farm. He seemed like he knew nothing about the country life. To him it was just some city boy looking for a bit of entertainment but if that really was the case, he's in for a big suprise.

Michael's mint-green gaze flicked up to the farmer's son when he was asked if he was okay. "I'm fine, though I would like to see more of the country than the horse manure," he stated before giving a little shudder. "That's actually the main reason I came out here... To finally look at nature and see what fresh, clean air was like." He shrugged before he straightened up, giving the dark-haired boy a little smile. "And yes, I would like to come," he added, moving to set the shovel where it went before returning to his earlier spot, his hands sliding into his pockets as he blew his hair out of his face, waiting for the other to lead the way. He was indeed a city boy, but he was out here for more than just fun. He wanted to know what quiet was like, and how cool, clean air felt on a warm day. He liked it at the farm, he just didn't like that the only thing he was allowed to do was to muck out the stalls. ((Woo. ouo))

Nicolas nodded lightly standing up straight and leading the way towards the drive way. He reached his right hand and burried it in his pocket looking for something. "Hmm. I hope I didn't drop them" he said quietly, talking to himself. "Ah..here they are" he smiled pulling out two keys on a single keyring, one key was for the house and the other for his truck. "Well if you came out here to get some clean air, you sure arn't going to get it mucking the stalls" he laughed glancing back at Michael. "If you would like, I can show you around a little later. That is..." Nicolas said but sort of trailed off looking up at the sky. "That is if your okay with ridding a horse" Nick said stepping up beside a rather large red pick up truck. "You know...Micheal is it? If you have any questions or comments about anything. Please don't hesitate to ask or say anything. I don't bite" He said looking at Micheal. His smile seemed to reach his eyes as he genuinely tried to make this other boy feel as comfortable as he could. He knew for a fact his father wouldn't make this boy's life easy, especially with what tomorrow would bring. 'Oh the wild horses.' Nick frowned at the thought of tomorrow but shook his head, climbing into the truck. He placed the key in the ignition awaiting for Micheal. (( For some reason. It is soo hard to picture Nicolas in a red pick up truck. >.>))

Michael followed behind the other boy, chuckling at what he said. "I'm aware of this. That's why I walk out of there a lot.I'm just not used to smells like that," he said before shaking his head a little. Truth be told, the first day he was here and had to muck the stalls, he'd actually ended up vomiting. He'd grown up with smog-filled air, among other things, but the strong stench had just hit him like a ton of a bricks. He knew he probably looked like a weak little city city boy who'd come out to the country for some fun, but he actually wanted to get something done with his life. Something that would benefit him in the long run, give him moral support and whatnot. "Believe it or not, I actually like horses. Cleaning up after the horses, not so much," stated the brunette with a slightly larger smile. Basically, he was trying to accept the invitation and he hoped the other boy understood what he'd meant. Once Nick was in the truck, Michael climbed in as well, settling himself upon the seat. "Yea, it's Michal. And thanks." The city-boy gave the farmer's son a true smile before he glanced out of the window, tilting his head slightly. Even though he had to clean out the horses' stalls alll the time, Michael felt so much...more free out here than he had back home and a sort of peace had settled over him as he'd been here. BAck home he was a short fuse ready to blow, but here...he was a calmer person that took time to think things through. He enjoyed that part of his time out here on the farm. ((Hurr. ;3 When and how should the shounen-ai start? Ooh! Michael could somehow get hurt by a wild horse? And Nicky could be stuck caring for him or something. ouo; -braindead-))

(( I like that idea! Maybe the horses arrive early. )) Nicolas laughed starting the truck and backing out of the drive way. "The smells will fade away the longer your here. You get to the point where you don't notice them anymore" he shrugged keeping his eyes on the road. "It's probably best that we get the feed today. Tomorrow is sort of a big day on the farm. A chaotic one" Nick frowned tightening his grip on the wheel. "Father is departing late tonight and heading out to the wild herd of horses thats just a few miles outside of our land. He and a few of the men from the town will arrive back on the farm early in the morning with a few wild horses. It's my job to break them or at least get them ready to be sold" He explained releasing a sigh. "It's not a fun job nor is it a pleasant one but it has to be done. The wild herd is a beautiful thing to watch but there comes a time when there are way to many. I guess it is sort of a natural thing but that doesn't take away from the fact it still sucks" Nicolas frowned noticing they had mainly arrived at the town. "Heh. Sorry. I'm talking way to much. I havn't really had someone around my age here in quite a while. I forget sometimes to shut up" He gave a nervous laugh pulling into the store parking lot. "There's not much to the town" he sighed turning the truck off and climbing out. It was a pretty small town with a few stores in a row. The rest of the town though was mainly consisted of homes in which the mechants and towns people lived. Not many were farmers or animal traders like his family, in fact there were only about five actually farm homes in the area, his fathers being the largest. 'Well this should be interesting'. Nick thought making his way into the feed store, holding the door open for Micheal. "Good morning Nicolas. The usual?" a rather old man asked with a large grin on his face. "Yes Mr. Wilson. Sorry we are a little slow on the visits. Father has a few wild ones comming in in the morning and you know how they can be. I swear they eat us out of our barn and home if we let em" Nick smiled turning to address Micheal. "It's a rather small town so please expect complete strangers to know your name within...I'll say, an hour." (( That sucked because I was brain dead and got carried away with an old man. lol. ))

Michael nodded, chuckling. "I've already started getting used to it. The first day I couldn't stand being anywhere near the stalls, but now it takes me getting inside to actually smell it," he said as he looked back over at Nicolas to listen to him talk. When the other boy made a comment about talking too much, Michael laughed, giving the other a grin. "Noise is something I'm used to. It's the quiet I worry about. Quiet in the big cities means something's going down and you better not leave the house," he stated, glancing out of the window as they arrived at their destination. "And the most I've seen of wild horses is what they show on TV and the pictures in books," he sighed, pouting a bit. "It's weird, you know. I've livedi n the city my entire life, but I wasn't really happy there. I was...well..a bit of a brat, I guess. It was just too enclosed..." He tilted his head thoughtfully before he shook his thoughts away. He exited the truck when Nicolas did, following the other to the store and dipping his head in an appreciative manner when the door was held open for him. He stood a little off to the side as the store owner talked to Nick, the city-boy feeling out of place all of a sudden. When the farmer's son turned to talk to him again, the brunette rubbed his neck awkwardly. "At least I won't feel as out of place then, huh?" he said, not meaning it as if he didn't want to be here. He knew he really didn't belong on a farm after being raised in a big city, but he'd wanted to be out here, which had quickly relaxed his attitude.

Nicolas paused before giving off a shy grin bringing up a hand and running it through his hair. "Eh. You'll know everyones names probably by the end of the week" he shrugged watching the store manager motion to a rather large pile of feed. "Crap" Nick frowned looking at the pile. "Are you positive my father called for that much?" Nick asked a little taken back by the large pile. "Yes yes. He said that tomorrow's a big day for you. He has a suprise for you. He mentioned that your friend here...would probably enjoy it to" the manager grinned walking off towards the back of the store. Nick stood there with wide yes a little suprised at the old man's words. "Suprise?" he asked a little confused. "I guess there's no need to dwell..." Nick said grabbing a peice of wood and jaming it under the store door. "Well lets get loading. The faster this is done the faster we can eat. Do you have any idea's for lunch?" Nick asked curiously grabbing a bag and loading it into the truck bed. "Umm. Micheal. There was something i've been meaning to ask you" Nick said out of no where grabbing another bag and loading it. "The city...I know it isn't exactly peaceful but..." Nick seemed to loose his train of thought before letting out a sigh. "Well you see. I've never actually been to the city. The nearest one is four hours away from here and my father seems to forbid me from going. He thinks it's too dangerous for a boy like me, which I don't see the point at all" he frowned kicking the side of the stack of bags. "I guess what i'm saying is...your lucky to be able to go somewhere new that you enjoy" he let off a weak smile before blowing some of his hair out of his face as it fell when he picked up the next bag.

Michael looked at the large pile, taken aback before he sighed a bit, chuckling softly. He moved to grab a couple bags and sling them over his shoulders so that he could carry them to the truck and load them, listening to the other male speak as he moved. Then he thought about what the manager had said and paused, looking over at Noclas with a curious ex pression. "What'd he mean when he said I'd probably enjoy it, too?" he questioned before grabbing another bag. "And as for lunch, I have no idea," the city-boy answered with a soft sigh, giving the 'emo country boy' an slightly apologetic look. Truth be told, he really wasn't all that hungry after the stalls, but if Nick was hungry, then he'd get something too so the other boy wouldn't feel weird eating in front of him. He'd been rather nice to him the whole time he's been there, so he didn't want to ruin something could could possibly be quite fragile. When Nick brought up the city, however, Michael's smiles faded, replaced by a rather grim sort of calm as he looked over at the farmer's son. He shook his head, chewing on his lip for a moment. "The cities aren't somewhere you'd want to go. People are killed, raped, and burglarized several times a day, and the air you breathe is enough to give you lung cancer. Everything is packed in together, and you never know if the man beside you on the bus could be a suicide bomber and blow everyone up," he said steadily, glancing back up at Nicolas through his mint-green eyes. "It's not a very fun place, take it from someone who grew up there. It's a very frightening place..." he murmured, shivering despite himself. ((Yeah. P: So. Can we skip past all this? XD -bounce-))

(( Yep and that is possibly the most adorable thing to call Nick. Emo country boy. lol. I never really thought of it that way but I guess its true ^.^ )) "Honestly...I don't know what he means" Nick replied to Micheal. It wasn't long before everything was loaded and they were back at the house and barn. Nicolas had parked rather close to the barn without getting his truck in the way of the path for the horses. "Bags go in the barn with the others that are left. We have to carry them one by one. I'm afraid this is as close as I can get with the truck. Father has a few things he needs to use the path for" Nick shrugged grabbing a few of the bags and carrying them towards the barn. Down the path a little ways Nicolas' father was tugging and fighting with a rope which was tied around a rather large black horses neck. The horse began bucking and thrashing trying to free itself but Nick's father wasn't really going down without a fight, althogh this wild horse did seem to put up a fight. Nick's father pulled on the rope trying to calm the stallion but a loud snap was heard. The next thing the father knew was that the black stallion was loose charging full speed towards the pick up and the boys. (( Bleh...lol. Do as you wish with the horse. ^.^ ))

Michael grabbed a bag once he could and began following after Nicolas until he heard the pounding of hooves. He turned his head to see a black stallion running at them, his eyes growing wide when he saw it was heading straight for him and Nick. The city boy instantly dropped the bag and ran towards the dark-haired boy, yelling "Watch out!" before he shoved him out of the way of the horse, just as it got close, letting out a loud neigh. The horse's neigh drowned out Michael's pained, terrified cries as he ended up beneath the horse's hooves, the stallion stepping on him a couple times, as well as hitting him with his hooves. The city boy made himself curl up so he could try to breathe better, his vision blurring quite a bit. His every breath felt like he was being stabbed inside his body by a random psycho with a knife, and he could faintly feel something warm and wet dripping across his forhead. He figured it was blood, since his head ached. Michael slowly turned his gaze up towards Nicolas, his mint-green eyes slightly glazed over. "Y-you...o-okay....N-nick...?" he coughed, trying to sit up. He let out a groan and just flopped back down, his breathing ragged. ((Meanwhile, the horse is still going a little nous. P:))

Ooc:// That horse is so dead when Nick gets it's hands on it. Bic:// Nick heard Michael's yell and naturally he went to turn to see what was going on but was caught off guard when he was shoved to the ground. He winced slightly landing funny on his arm but managed to push himself up and turn around in just enough time to see the phsyco horse trample the city boy. "No!" Nick yelled with wide eyes not really able to do anything. As soon as the horse vanished further into the farm, Nick caught Michael's green gaze and frowned rushing to his side. "My god..." Nick whispered wrapping his arms around Micheal, pulling him into his lap. He reached forward wipping some of the blood off of his forhead. "I'm fine but you arn't. Damn it Michael" he growled looking up to catch his father's terrified gaze who was already rushing to the truck. "Can you wrap your arms around my neck? I'm going to try to carry you to the truck. We have to get you to the doctor in town" he sighed his blue gaze scanning over Michael's body looking at the extent of the damage. "I'm so sorry. I...I should have been paying more attention" Nick sighed blaming this all on himself. He knew his father would be bringing home a wild horse but honestly he didn't expect it this soon, plus normally his father had those things under control. Something must have been extremly off today or something for the horse to get loose like it did. Nicolas had to shake his head in order to keep his focus on Michael. At the moment the city boy was injured and broken in his arms and he needed to get him checked as quickly as he could. Horses were heavy and could cause a deadly amount of injuries if you let them. Nick knew all about the injuries a horse could cause, hell he had been through them all almost. He did break wild horses for a living and they didn't go easy.

Michael let out a pained groan as he was pulled onto Nicolas's lap, squeezing his eyes *censored* as his muscles tensed automatically. He cracked his eyes open a bit when the dark-haired male asked him if he could wrap his arms around his neck, and as a response he did so, though it was a gradual process. Even that little bit of motion obviously hurt quite a bit, the usually tough, resilient city boy burying his face into the other's chest, something that seemed almost automatic. "N...not your...fault...." Michael murmured. If he could help Nicolas when it came to getting him to the truck he would, but right now he wouldn't even be able to tell you what two plus two was. He actually usually took pain pretty well, but getting trampled by a horse is too much for anyone to just go along with, even a stubborn teenager from a big city that had managed to make it on the farm without giving up for as long as he had. Michael saw it as one way, though. If he hadn't've (I think that's that one weird word that everyone uses when talking. XD) pushed Nicolas out of the way and gotten trampled himself, then Nick would be the one bruised and broken, and for some reason the city boy just couldn't stand seeing that mental image. The farm would be fine without him for a little bit, since all he did was muck the stalls. It'd be easy to find someone else to do that. "So much for....sh-showing me...around today..." he said, managing to chuckle as he tried to lighten the mood. It was a very heavy atmosphere pressing down on a battered boy. It wasn't fun. Oh, no, no, no, no. It was the complete opposite of fun. It was all that horse's fault. ((Braindead. :I))

Nicolas winced hearing Michael's groan. The last thing he wanted to do was cause the city boy even more pain. "Ugh. I'm sorry still. This is going to hurt. I can't lie to you so please bare with me" Nick sighed making sure Michael's arms were around his neck before he shifted his weight. He slipped his hands underneith Michael and picked him up gently. "Sorry." He apologized making his way towards the truck with the city boy in his arms. He was suprisingly not that heavy but then again not a lot of things were heavy to Nick. He was used to carrying around about a ton of bags on a daily basis. "You may say it's not my fault but i'll just find some way to blame myself. It's your first day and yet you are broken on my watch. I can't simply allow myself to forget that. I should have been paying attention" Nick said bitting his bottom lip a little bit. His blue eyes looked over at his father who was holding the truck door open for him. "I need you to drive father. I'm holding him..." Nicolas said as his blue gaze hardened. His father went to protest but Nick stopped him. "Come on! He's injured! Do you not remember when I was first stepped on by a horse!" He snapped carefully climbing into the truck trying not to move the injured boy that much. A weak smile fell upon Nick's face when Michael said that about showing him around. "The farm and land isn't going to sprout legs and run away. Don't think because a horse stepped on you means that you are going to get out of seeing everything" he said softly trying to joke but finding it actually very hard. "There will be plenty of times when I can show you around. Today is just not turning out to be a good day." Within a few minutes, suprisingly, they had arrived at the doctor's place. Nick's father held the truck door open as Nick slowly climbed out hanging onto Micheal being extremly carefull. He hated seeing him like this and hated it even more that one of the wild stallions did this to him. This would make it a lot harder to break that damn horse now that he was mad at the stupid thing. (( Your welcome to play the doctor if you want this to get over with quickly. Not much to say in the doctor's office except the extent of the damage and what to do to fix him. ))

Ooc:// Oh. Opps, now I feel stupid. lol. Okay. That should be on accident. Maybe Michael tries to disobey orders and get up deturmined or something, slips and in attempt to catch him Michael falls on Nicky creating our moment. <3 Or it go some other way but that was just an idea.
