Like...maybe since Chase is Raiden's son they let Chase go because Michael knows he has a good bond with the horse which he wouldn't just run away. Maybe Chase lures Raiden in and they capture him?

Or like to get Raiden's trust it's like a daily thing. Bring Chase out to the feilds and let him run with the herd and lure him in to show him humans arn't that bad. Raiden will see Chase with Michael therefore he might trust them to?
