((*Sneaks on* I am poofing on and off so...)) Jake stood underneath the shower replaying the days events in his mind. First he had almost drowned, which ended up in two plusses, meeting another bender and meeting a cute girl. A smile spread over his face as the remaining paint in his hair washed down the drain. He shut off the water and stepped out, drying himself off and pulling on a t-shirt and shorts as he flopped down on the couch and flipped on the television. "She really was pretty." He sighed. ((Epically failish, sorry))

Bree stepped out of the shower and dried herself off. She wrapped her towel around herself and looked at herself in the mirror. She stared into her own hazel eyes and had flashbacks of the day. Thank god that she used to train to be a lifeguard or she would've never met Jake. She slipped a tank top on and some jeans. She flopped herself onto the downstairs couch and sighed. ((timeskip to next day?))

((Now who dissapeared?)) Jake opened his eyes with a yawn, stretching as he sat up. "I think I will get there early to get a head start on her. I'll be there first so I can be the one to splatter her with paint." He thought with a laugh. He got dressed and ran down the steps to the kitchen to eat. He flipped on the tv while draining a glas.s of orange juice.

Bree got up groggily and brushed through her messy blonde hair. She looked in the mirror in surprise. Her hair was a mess. She pulled out the flatening iron and quickly straightened it. It looked much better. She then remembered what happened the day before. The paintball fight. She immediately smiled. She rushed out and grabbed a muffin. THen she realized she was still in her pajamas. She sighed and smacked her head before running back inside and changing into a tshirt and some blue-jean shorts that weren't too short. She ran outside and rushed to the mall to the store where they had the paintball fight. She grabbed a gun and waiting patiently for Jake's arrival.

((I FOUND IT!!!)) Jake made his way to the mall calmly, so as to not look too excited. I never realized that I would make paintball fights a habit. He thought to himself as he payed for a hot dog on the way. Finaly the mall came into sight and smiled, swallowing the last of his breakfast. He entered the building and made his way down the familiar path to the store where the fight would take place. He just rounded the corner and walked through the door frame when... SPLAT. A blue paint ball struck him in the face.

Bree laughed quietly as someone shot him in the face. Then, she figured that paint in your eyes would burn like heck. She ran towards Jake and looked at him. "You okay?" She didn't look too worried, but she was worried enough to get adrenaline pumping through her veins. She felt several paintballs hit her in the back, but she ignored them.

"Ya, I'm fine. The real question is, will you?" Jake smirked opening his eyes that had a slight shadow around the actual organ. He reached out and grabbed the gun from Bree before raising it to aim at her. "Run, run as fast as you can, I can find you faster than anyone can." He recited the revised version of the gingerman song. Something and old friend of his taught him as a code to enter thier club house. "Buh-bye." He said, his finger beginning to pull back the trigger.

Bree gasped and ran towards the other side of the room and engulfed her hands in an almost invisible flame. Her hair danced around her head like flames as the air conditioner kicked on. She didn't know what was going on. Jake looked scary. She couldn't tell if he was crazy or if he was just kidding. It reminded her of the time when her father got mad at her mom and slapped her.

Jake laughed, wiping the paint off his face and allowing the protective shadow to disapporate. "Did you see that look on your face. Sorry, its been a long time since I have met someone new. I couldnt resist it. Did I scare you?" He said lowering the gun as he came up to where Bree was. He tossed the gun over to her and picked up one of his own. "Besides, I can shoot my own team mate. Powers vs. regulars." He smiled more kindly this time and double checked to see if his paintball gun was laoded. "Ready. Set. Fire." He took aim quickly and shot one of the guys in the shoulder who was trying to aim at Bree.

Bree was pissed. "You jerk!" The fire on her hands dissipated into thin air. She grabbed her gun and shot Jake in the side. "That's for scaring the crap out of me." She then shot a few others before she lost control. Her hands caught on fire and made the gun begin to melt. She cursed under her breath and dropped the slowly melting paintball gun onto the floor. "Oh god, that's what happens when I get ticked off." She wasn't going to let what he did go.

"Heeey, I said sorry. Usually a normal person would have died but you my friend are braver than anyone I have ever met." Jake said watching the melting gun with a hesitant look. If she could do that to it, he didnt want to know what she could do to him even with his own powers. "It's no problem, get a new one. By the way, what was it that made it scary. I never understood why so many people had that same look when they saw me. I mean I know I make it seem like a joke but it kinda hurts to see others cower like that. Even you." His eyes fell to the floor as a pang of guilt and hurt swept through his insides.

"It's nothing," she lied. "I think I should take a break from paintball." Bree left the melting gun on the floor and she walked out of the room. She stopped a couple stores over and hit herself on the head. "What the heck did you have to melt a gun for, Bree?" She shook her head in dissapointment and frowned.

"Hey, wait for me! I'll catchya guys later." Jake said, rushing out the door and trying to find Bree. He finally found her by one of the other stores and came up to her. "So, maybe we could do paintball some other time. We did what I wanted to do so now its your turn to choose. Where to?" He smiled, hoping it wasnt something too ridiculous.

"Ever been to the crystal cave at noon before?" Bree smiled mischeviously. The crystal cave, the main tourist attraction, at noon was a sight to see. The sun shot through the crystals and reflected onto the walls, creating mesmerizing patterns of rainbow collors on the cave walls. "It's a sight to see." She also had something that she could do to make a crystal turn different colors with her flame intensity.

"Nah, never really thought about going there. If its as cool as everyone says it is then we should go! Better hurry though, its almost noon if my phone is right." Jake said pulling out his new Windows 7 phone and checking the time. Truth was he never really went anywhere like that because shadows were made scarce and he always felt fidgety and on edge with the absense of shadows. "Lets grab something to go, I'm paying." He said eyeing(?) the food stands littering the streets and sidewalks like usual. ((Sorry for the short failyness of this post lols XP))

"Okay." Bree looked at him. "You choose." Bree was never known for being ladylike or eating low fat low cal stuff. She would eat stuff that tasted good. That was that. And she didn't have the best manners either. The last time she ate in front of a guy is when she ate in front of her father, but that wasn't an option anymore, given that they left to visit their family.
