Eve felt tears running down her face due to the fear, frightened by the fact that this man could kill her. The full extent of her current situation hit her just then. She could die very easily. And nobody would ever know. Not many people knew about her as it was.
When she heard Cain behind her, she didn't turn around. She kept running, adrenaline coursing through her veins, her pulse pounding, heart racing like that of a rabbit.
He quickly caught up with her, and, when she heard Cain's voice speaking in a language she'd never heard of before- all she had heard of was English and some German- she froze.
She started shaking as she felt his breath on her neck, his voice in her ear. When he said the same phrase in the language again, she bit her bottom lip, frightened for her life. Tears were now running down her face rapidly, spilling from her blue eyes. She squeezed her eyes shut and, with a burst of courage she didn't know she had, turned around to face Cain.
"Don't. Don't do it." She took both of her hands and placed them on his shoulders. She wouldn't have minded a bite if Cain was back to his normal self- the calm, collected person she'd been bitten by earlier. "I'm trusting you not to hurt me, Cain." She shook him lightly, her eyes still closed, cheeks wet with tears.

Cain blinked, as a single tear traced down his cheek. He wasn't a monster. He gently took her hands, and did something that surprised him. He hugged her.
A few more tears traced from his eyes to his cheeks as he closed his eyes, enveloping her in a soft, hesitant hug. The other hunger had disapated.
"It's gone. Grazie amore. Eve. Su pasado, el amor, se ha ido." He said, switching language seamlessly.

Eve was still shaking and crying. She thought it was all over when he grabbed her hands. She braced herself to die- be drained of blood, but, instead, she found herself wrapped in the strong arms of Cain. It was odd, seeing as how he was over a foot taller than she was, but it felt nice. She felt safe, but, she was still shaken, and shaking, and crying slightly.
She couldn't see his tears, and, as he spoke, she was curious as to how many languages he knew. Had he just spoke two languages in less than five seconds? She wasn't sure. Either way, he did it quickly and without a flaw.
She, after calming herself down, wrapped her shaky arms around Cain, balling her fists up in his shirt to try and stop the shakiness in her hands. But she only found herself crying more, sniffling occasionally, and buried her face in Cain's chest almost instinctively.
She was so scared, but then she just felt an overwhelming sense of relief. Such an odd feeling that it made her so emotional.

Cain felt something he took a moment to hold onto. A warm feeling, spreading from his heart. He felt comforted and he whispered in her ear. "Don't cry, I'm back now." He did so with a shine in his voice, one which screamed of pride, and dare he hope. Love.
He sat down on a nearby bench and pulled her into his lap, leaving his arms wrapped around her. "Your safe now." He said. "Y la pesca w. Cariño, tu cabeza. Ik hou van je. Uw veilig." He said, switching laguages so she wouldn't understand then muttering what he thought was low enough for her not to hear.
"I love you."

Eve didn't think much of when she was pulled onto Cain's lap. It was merely a move of comfort, right. That, and, well, her legs were hurting from running so frantically, her heart still beating like crazy. She took in several shaky breaths, still not letting go of Cain.
After a few moments, she heard him speaking in different languages again- she'd now labeled this as a common occurrence. Her tears dried up, and she barely heard what he'd said. She thought she was imagining things, so she simply ignored what he'd mumbled.
Her breathing leveled out, and she just sat there, hugging Cain, still a bit shaky, but much more calm.
"I was so scared."

"I'm sorry." He said, gently pulling away. He looked her in the eyes and smiled. 'Thank you' He said, hugging her again. "I didn't think I could do it." He frowned.
"But you pulled me out of it. Thank you.".
Was he blushing? He hoped not. It would be embarrassing, especially in front of her. He heard the other vampires stirring and whispered in her ear. "Do you want me to help you. Get away?" He asked breathlessly, not daring to hope she'd agree.

Eve rubbed her eyes slightly, readjusting herself in Cain's lap. She'd never been held like that before, she noted. She'd actually never even received a hug, so all of this was new. She'd rarely ever been touched at the labs, but she hadn't minded it, because she hadn't known what she was missing out on.
She couldn't see any pink on Cain's cheeks, but her vision was still a bit blurry due to her previous crying, anyways. She blinked several times and nodded. "These people are bad people. They tied us to chairs. They surely don't have good intentions for me," she said, frowning, and looking down at her hands which rested in her own lap.

"Then I'll help you." Cain said, standing up unsteadily. Resisting the urge to bite her again, he helped her up and smiled. He whistled and a blur or grey zoomed don the hallway.
Cain scooped up Storm and patted him on the head. Passing it to Eve, he said. "This way is the easiest way". Walking out of the hallway and into a plain dark grey room with a table, chair and bed.
"My room." He said simply, rapping the wall. When he found the spot which was hollow, he broke the leg off the chair, revealing a slim, heavy metal tube.
Grasping the metal tube, he smashed thought the hollow spot, and cleared the shrapnel. He pulled open the, now visible, trap door n the wal and gestured for her to jump through.

Eve managed to keep up with the pace that things were moving: get up, grab the cat, follow Cain. It was simple, but difficult, seeing as how she had just been crying. However, she dealt with it. She had to if she wanted to get out of this place.
What the scientists had been thinking, she didn't know. But there had proved to be one honorable man here- Cain.
Her long legs carried her quickly, but Cain was much taller than her, so she had to jog to keep up with him. As he announced where they had arrived- his room-, Eve took in her surroundings. Dark grey walls, simple furniture. Bare minimum.
She petted Storm as the cat wiggled slightly in her arms, readjusting itself. She jumped slightly when she heard a loud bang, turning to see Cain smashing a tube against the concrete wall, clearing the debris, revealing a trap door.
Which he gestured for her to jump through. Though she had no clue where on earth that thing led, she had no choice but to shimmy her way through.
Without a second thought, she moved over to the odd little door and made her way through the threshold, stepping into darkness. Once she reached the other side, she waited impatiently for Cain.
She knew that the other vampires must have heard the smashing of the wall.

Cain jumped in the hole after her, a determined ex pression on his face. Pulling across 3 thick metal sheets across the entrance and spinning around to face Eve, he picked through a backpack. "Would you like a coat?" He asked, walking behind a thin piece of metal, which didn't quiet cover his chest.
Slipping into new cloths, a simple tee shirt and a pair of rumpled skinny jeans, he tugged on a brown semi trench coat. Holding out his arm and pulling a coat and blanket out of his backpack, he offered them to her.
Noticing the slight sound of vampires realising that they were gone, he spun her around to face him and gently pulled the blanket around her, tucking a lock of her hair behind her ear.
"Would you like to go to my safe house, or run?" He asked as they got to an intersection in the tunnels. He brought a lighter out, setting a golden glow across his face and the tunnels.

Eve was relieved when she saw Cain come through the dark hole. When the layers of metal sheets were placed back, it was too dark for the human eye to see, and Eve was stuck in darkness, with only Cain's noise of movement to give her a hint as to where he was, or if he was even still there at all.
She stood perfectly still, not talking at all, her heartbeat racing. She was terrified of the dark- something that she had always been afraid of. Even the scientists couldn't explain her fear, and they had monitored her in dark rooms to see what her vital signs signaled at.
She listened to Cain offer her a coat, and she reached out, groping for the fabric- for a warm hand to hold onto. She seemed calm, though, as she grabbed the coat, and slipped it on, realizing just how cold it had been when she felt the warmth of the garment.
She didn't hear anything, else, but, as she felt Cain tug a blanket around her, and tuck some hair behind her ear, she calmed slightly, though her pulse was still sky-high, and pounding in her ears. She couldn't see much, but she could see a little then, seeing as how her eyes had slightly adjusted.
"Safe house," she said simply, a bit too afraid to answer in a complete sentence. As his lighter flicked on, providing some light for her to see by, she released a shaky breath, her pulse slowing, and stopped shaking- she hadn't even noticed that she'd been shaking until then.
She finally mustered up the courage to answer in a complete sentence, now that she could see. "Let's go to your safe house." She was scared to touch him- scared that her shaky hands would give away just how frightened she had been, and how frightened she still was.

Bic:// Cain glanced over his shoulder at her as she said 'Safe House'. Se was shaking slightly and he offered her his hand as they took the left hand passage. "You scared of the dark?" He asked, guiding her past a tougher part of the tunnel.
He lit a torch and showed her the moonlit exit, where he picked her up. "I'm going to start running, do not panic if my fangs come out, just..." He hesitated, before sprinting at an inhuman speed towards a path in the forest. Weaving in and out of trees, he made it to a low wood bungalow, like a beach house.
Setting her down on the bed, he pulled another blanket over her and lit the fire. Then he settled himself down on the floor and pulled his trench coat over himself.

Eve took his hand gratefully, but bit her lip when he asked if she was afraid of the dark. "No," she mumbled, lying. She was a bit afraid to admit that she had large weaknesses. Her fear of the dark was almost crippling when it was pitch black, and she couldn't see.
She looked at the exit that he showed, her, grateful for the light of the torch, but blushed when he unexpectedly picked her up. He said something about his fangs, and Eve bit her lip again, holding onto Cain's torso tightly.
She tried not to freak out when he began to sprint at a speed that wasn't comprehensible. However, she couldn't help but to bury her face in Cain's neck to hide herself from the cold wind.
When she felt him slowing down, she didn't release him until she felt herself being placed down on something soft- a bed. It was sort of dim, so she couldn't see very much detail, but she wasn't afraid of this sort of dark.
She watched as the firelight trickled across the room.
She blinked her eyes several times before looking down at Cain, pulling the covers on the bed around her form as she laid back on a few pillows.
"Why did you offer to take me away?" she asked absent-mindedly.

Bic:// Cain shrugged, staring into the fire. "It wasn't right that they - we were keeping you there." He murmured, settling down. He pulled a blanket over himself and sighed.
Before long his eyes were closed and he was dozing lightly, dreaming of the single bite he'd had from Eve's neck. He'd never slept walked before, so he had no idea why this particular dream was so vivid.

Eve agreed with Cain wholeheartedly. It wasn't right that they had kept her there, if they so obviously didn't appreciate her. She bit her lip, laying back on the bed, finally realizing how tired she was.
She had fallen asleep after only a few minutes, and she was out like a light. She probably could sleep through a storm like she was right then, with the blanket surrounding her. She felt... at ease, for some reason.
