"He is a bit disobediant, to me at least, and can be rather....mean" Duke said half paying attention half thinking about Cinder's previous issues involving other dragons. Duke smiled at Crystal..."So how are you?" he asked taking a quick glance down by the valley where he told Cinder to stay. A loud roar echoed off the land.... ((ok confusion XD)) Zippora transformed into her black fured wolf form. She padded along the hills, her dark green eyes blazing in the night. She stopped at the lake, and drank some water....cleansing the blood from her jaws. She stared at her reflextion in the dark water. Her sparkling eyes gazing back at her in the same cold stare she had when she looked at Aroki. She closed them, and wished all this would just end

Xiang looked up at the dull night sky. Cloud's smother'd the rays of beautiful moonlight. Gah.. A storm is arising. He thought to himself. A ligt rumble of thunder boomed from quite a distance. Followed by a bolt of ice white lightning. Not too long from now it would surely start to rain. "I'll catch 'ya later, Star." He unfolded his wings, drops of water beginning to thump off the membrane. He snarled and looked up at the night sky, cursing the storm with all his might.
Thump... Thump.. Thump.
He beat his wings hard against the raging wind. He flew up into the sky, whilst gliding quickly out of view. He landed on the large mountain range, huddling inside the shallow cave.
Spirit sighed. The rain was a beacon in the night. A sign of a wet cold day, hunting would be harsh, thus because of the marsh like ground. Rain drop's seemed to stain her grey pelt, her glowing blue fur dimming and brightening with each slash. She crawled deeper into the shallow ground den.
Feral climbed up into a large oak tree, the wind whipping through the leaves. A howling storm would still not conquer this beast. With a failed hunting attempt, he sighed and placed his head on his paws. He wrapped his tail around the base of the tree and folded his wing's neatly at his sides. A bleeding chest wound was boldly bared, a vicious thrash from a angry male bull. The blood was constant, yet washed away from the pouring rain. Feral listened as a boom of thunder roared, a bolt of lightning following. He watched across the field as the long gras s slurred and the leaves flew from the old oak tree he was settled on.

Zippora ran through the pounding rain... the drops blinding her, all her sences were on end. She still had to hunt she knew...she bared her teeth and attacked a small elk... a little small but it would have to do, she thought. Zippora dragged her kill under a tree, when blood drizzled on her nose...she looked up and thought she caught a glimpse of Feral as she turned into her dragon form... Zippora thought about saying something, but her eyes might be playing tricks on her. She took a small bite of her kill, but wasnt hungry... She stretched her wings to sheild her face as the rain pounded against her dark scales. She curled up under the tree, her home to far away to travel to in this storm.

Feral knew it was Zippora underneath him. However, he wouldn't dare move. He smelled the smell of a elk, but ignored the tempting scent.

Zippora shivered underneath the tree, not being able to sleep... she dug a shallow hold to sheild her limbs from the chilling wind... strong she knew she was but the rain was picking away at her strength... she buried her face in her wing, and closed her eyes, shivering some more... she turned the other direction allowing the wind to hit her back instead. She thought of the elk, waste of a kill she thought

Feral saw Zippora heading off. Also, noticing she had left the kill. He reached down with his long neck and snatched it up. He lie it down on the tree and ate what was left. He crawled up to the top of the tree and spread his wings. Having four wings, made it quite easy to fly in storms.
THUMP, THUMP, THUMP.
He landed on a rock. He pushed it up, and crawled into a hole underneath it.

Duke desperatly looked for his brother in the pounding rain, his silvery white scales loosing their shine by the second... Duke twisted his head in all directions, not being able to see 10 feet in front of him, even with his enhanced vision. Duke had no choice but to retire to a shelter as he anxiously awaited his brother's return. Cinder was experiencing nearly the same problem...he couldnt see his brother anywhere...the first time they've been apart during a dangerous storm... he shook desperatly wondering if his older brother was safe... he turned and saw a dark lump under a tree, shivering. "The black female?" he whispered. Not noticing Feral in the tree, he wandered over and layed in front of the female, shielding her from the piercing wind and rain. He laid his head down and blew a small fire, keeping it going for several hours trying to warm the female. He ignored the elk next to her |

Zippora felt the rain and wind stop, and her body warming. She looked up from behind a wing and saw the red twin next to her, shielding her from the storm... She smiled and and rubbed her tail against his side as a thank you before dozing off to sleep.

BANG!!
Lightning had struck. Feral perked his head. Hearing the sounds of a beginning wild fire, he stuck his head out from under the rock. A fire was beginning to burn in the soft water soaked gr*censored*. "GET OUTTA HERE NOW!!" He screamed.

Duke awoke with a start hearing Feral and noticing the flames.... he flew down desperately seeing his brother under the tree also the female....he woke them both up, and grabbed the black female by the arm, pulling her up... he grabbed Cinder and did the same. |

Cinder hoisted himself up, backing into the flames, he howled with pain as his leg collapsed. A bad burn on his back and front right legs. Duke stared alarmed, he hoisted his brother on his back... and flew into the air..."FEMALE! go! now! i can manage!" before she could anwser he roared, and nudged her hard with his head, sending her a few feet away... "GO!" he screeched from over his shoulder, running in the opposite direction...toward Mashi and Aroki's den... "FIRE FIRE!" he screeched. "RUN!" he said before running to the safety of the lake |

Zippora stared at the brothers, Cinder injured, and Duke risking his life for his twin. She wanted to follow them, thank them for all they've done for her that night, but they were gone, alone with the flames. She launched herself into the air, dodging the lightning, fighting the storm....she struggled with the wind but forced herself foward. She noticed a den where she knew Spirit was hiding... she landed and yanked her out...."RUN!" she yelled before flying away quickly....suddenly lighting struck and a tree knocked her out of the air. Gasping for breath, she got up and and tried to get away from the flames, her home was chaos

Duke put his brother in the lake, telling him to stay from the flames. Duke went out and saw the black female get yelled at by the wolf. he walked up to Spirit... "aww it sooo cute when puppy dogs get smart with things that are better than them.. just because their jealous." he sneered, forgetting about the flames momentarily. "oh and good luck with that healing... although i dont think it can heal once somethings dead..." he said in a smart tone..."or what if, ur den gets caved in...once ur big bwathers gone, what will u do, cause no one give give a dang about getting you out..." he said in a baby tone. "Have fun playing with fire..." he laughed, and continued finding more creatures he stopped and looked over his shoulder..."and as i remember, ur brother was Mr nice guy when he warned all of us about the flames..." |
