Blackpaw looked at him. " You'll have to tell her...." he said, in a mocking voice.

Lionpelt nuzzled her back. " I love you, Cinderfur." he said, smiling.

Cinderfur smiled. "I love you too. Now, let's go tell Sunstar."

"Tell her what?" Shadepaw pretended not to know.

Lionpelt nodded. He entwined his tail with hers, smiling. They arrived to Sunstar. " Hello, Sunstar. We had a question..." he said, smiling.

Blackpaw smirked. " That you like her, silly! Do you wanna know or not?"

Sunstar blinked. "And what's that?" She asked.Whatever it is, he seems pretty happy about it.

"But she's a medicine cat aprrentice..."

Blackpaw smirked. " Not for long. I overheard Lionpelt and Sunstar talking about having an apprentice ceremony. Now, do you wanna know or not??" he said, almost begging at the end.

Lionpelt smirked. " Well, one, I think we should have an apprentice ceremony. Andtwo, I'd like a mate ceremony for Cinderfur and I" he said, rather proudly.

"Yeah..." Shadepaw admitted.

Cinderfur smiled.

"Alright." Sunstar mewed. "But an apprentice ceremony? For who? There are no kits- right?" She glanced at Cinderfur.

Lionpelt chuckled. "No, for our apprentices. Shadepaw, Blackpaw, and Rosepaw!" he said, smiling.

Blackpaw smirked. " She likes you. Alot. " he said, smiling. " Now, keep your promise, and go tell her, Shade!"

"MOUSE-DUNG!" Shadepaw hissed. "Fine." He padded over to Rosepaw. "I need to tell you something."

"But Rosepaw's a medicine cat apprentice." Sunstar said.

Lionpelt nodded. " But, she deserves to become the medicine cat. And, I think the medicine cat is turning into an elder..." he said, quietly at the last part.

Rosepaw's bright eyes looked up. " Yes, Shadepaw?" she said, smiling.

"You're right." Sunstar said.

"I...really like you." He said.

Rosepaw looked at him, stunned. Then nuzzled him. She licked his cheek. " I really like you too, Shadepaw." she said, her tail swaying very slowly.

Lionpelt nodded. " So, the apprentice ceremony tonight?"

"Sure." Sunstar said. "And the mate ceremony tomorrow."

"The problem is..." Shadepaw mewed,"You're going to be a medicine cat."

Rosepaw didn't care. " I don't care, Shadepaw. That won't change my feelings. At all. I'll quit as a medicine cat. I'll become a warrior. For you." she said, kindness in her eyes.

Lionpelt nodded. " Great. Only an hour away!" he said, looking at the sky.

Shadepaw blinked. "Really?"

Cinderfur smiled.

Rosepaw noded. " Of course, Shadepaw." she said. She licked him on the cheek, and smiled warmly.

Lionpelt looked over at Blackpaw. " Poor kid, All alone."

Cinderfur's gaze saddened. "Hollyclaw, too." She said.

Shadepaw smiled.

Rosepaw looked at Shadepaw. " Follow me." she said, smiling. Rosepaw lead him on the edge of their territory, literally. They were on a cliff. It was beautiful, the other clans underneath them, the horizon a beautiful orange. The sun was setting. Rosepaw looked on the horizon. " Shadepaw....isn't this a deja vu?" she asked, remembering this moment.

Lionpelt met her gaze. "True. Blackpaw is a great cat. He has great potential. All so...unique."

Shadepaw smiled and nodded, speechless

"I feel bad for him."

"I do too." Lionpelt sighed.

Rosepaw layed her head on his chest as the sun slowly slipped away into the horizon.

Shadepaw smiled and looked down at her.

Cinderfur watched Blackpaw sadly.
