Calyx shrugged. "Of course I want too, but doesn't mean the I have to," She said. "Well, I guess I'll see you later?" She said, reaching for the door handle.

Maksis nodded to her, noting that she was still wearing his jacket. He smiled to himself, not bothered at all by the idea. He turned the ignition off with a flick of his wrist and pushed open the door to the car. He slid out of the seat smoothly and found the wind had returned. His brown hair whipped around him and became slightly tousled, but the new look made him seem more childish and cocky. He shut the door behind him and strode over to the pas.senger side of the car.

He slid his hands underneath the door handle and popped it open. He had been raised as a gentleman when he was a kid and it stuck with him, even through his dark vampire years. "As my nature, I have to be sure you make it to the door safely. I don't want to have brought you all this way for nothing," he said to her and held out his hand to help her up.

Calyx grinned, taking Maksis's hand and stepping out of the car. She immedietly hugged her elbows. "Thank you." She said. She noticed she still had his jacket on. "Oh! do you need you're jacket back?" she asked.

Calyx returned the grin. "Psh, fine," She said, pullinbg out her keys and unlocking the door. She put her groceries inside. "I'll see you later?"

Maksis nodded to her and walked her up to the front porch here her door was. He glanced up at the sky and his stomach knotted. He then pulled out his wrist and his face twisted into fear as he realized what time it was. The sun would be coming up over the skyline in a matter of minutes.

"Calyx, I need to ask you to let me into your house for the day. This is a matter of urgency and I'll hopefully be able to explain once we're inside," he said to her, his voice rising an octave as the seconds stretched.

Calyx tilted her head in comfusion. What could possibly be wrong? Having somoene--who she had just met--stay at her house wasn't exactly a good idea to Calyx, but her lips were already moving. "Ermm...Sure?" She opened the door for him to come in and picked up her bags. "Just make yourelf at home, I guess," she saaid, walking into the kitchen to put her items away.

"Whats the matter?" she asked from inside the kitchen. "It looks like it'll be a good day, the sun'll be out, it should get in the 70's today."

Maksis gave a soft snort and skittered around the room, hastily pulling the blinds shut. "Actually, I really don't like being outside when it's like this. I'm more of a...night life kind of person," he said as he finished closing up the last of the blinds. He flicked the nearest light switch on and the darkness evaporated to the artificial lighting.

"I'm truly sorry to bother you, but it's of the utmost importance that you don't kick me out until around 7," he said apologetically and sighed as he realized what a mess he'd turned this in. Here he was, stuck in a house with a human girl while he was thirsty and there was no escape since the sun was out.

Calyx's raised her brow as she peeked around the corned of the kitchen. What was he doing, closing all the blinds? She shrugged it off and yawned. She had gotton not one wink of sleep last night. A sigh escaped her lips as she blended some fruit. She always hated the loud sound, it hurt her ears. She staredd at Maksis, still wondering what, and wy he couldn't be outside, making her slowly release her grip on the blender.
