Paradise flinched a little as she rubbed the mascara off, but the words she said would probably still stay in her head, even if she was slightly distracted. 'If there was ever a reliable person in the world. It's Talaar'. She smirked, and quickly left. Not having much desire to ever go back. She held onto the bag with her dress inside, tightly. If she lost this, her mom would freak. Then walked to Talaar, "I guess I'm ready." She said quietly, and shrugged.

Talaar glanced at Paradise as she came out. He gave Sandra a quick nod and said, "Thanks, old hag. We'll be going now." As Talaar led Paradise away from the little apartment building, he grinned as he heard Sandra shout, "Don't ever come back, you filthy scoundrel!" While Sandra had been helping Paradise, Talaar had slipped into a public bathroom to change back into his regular clothes and god did it feel good to be out of that suit. He rolled his shoulder and looked at Paradise out of the corner of his eye as he walked, saying, "You know, you look better in casual wear."

Paradise blushed. But she didn't really know why. She wasn't really used to 'normal' attire. And she did feel kind of better. "Thanks..? I don't know if that's a good thing." she said with a laugh. Of course, she didn't wear a dress every single day, but she was never aloud to wear sweat pants. Her mom believed that girl's should always look nice. Wearing a tee shirt and sweat's wasn't 'nice' to her. "I've never wore a tank top like this before...." She said. More to herself, as she played with the straps. Hoping it wasn't too low. She used the jacket, to cover her completely.

Paradise frowned. "Um...I'll deal with the heat." She said, as she kept her jacket on. Making sure it covered her. Her mom would be very displeased with her. The thought made her hesitate on taking another step, but she forced herself too.

Talaar chuckled. He kept walking for a while until the buildings fell away and a treeline came into sight in the darkness. The sidewalk turned to dirt and the path broke off several times. Talaar pointed down one and said, "That way." Before long, it began curving upward, into the forest. As they became surrounded by trees, Talaar felt a pulse in the air, like the beat of a drum. It was familiar to him, but how would Paradise react? He glanced at her to find out.

(no problem ^^) Talaar simply smiled and grabbed her hand, pulling her along, closer to the source. After another few minutes of walking, the beat was almost audible and the sounds of whoops and laughter bubbled in the air. The path ended in a clearing, the center of which was dominated by a huge bonfire. Around the bonfire were at least fifty people, all lounging about and joking. A few greeted Talaar with waves and cheers. He smiled and asked, "Has it started yet?" A dark-skinned girl with black hair shook her head and replied, "No, you're just in time." Talaar turned to Paradise and drew her close to whisper in her ear, "You won't be able to talk when this starts, so don't panic."

Paradise would usually roll her eyes at a statement like that. But it was so true, that all she could do is smile at him and said, "Good." Very softly and quietly. She looked at the crowd of people. This wasn't like her normal type of party. Usually people would be dressed up, and looking pretty. But these people looked like they weren't...Fakes. She liked the feeling, but still stayed close to Talaar. Just because she felt better that way.

After a little while, the clearing became deathly silent, even the roar of the fire seemed to quiet down, only the pulsing beat remained. Almost at the same time, everyone who was sitting, stood up, thier heads lifted to the night sky, Talaar the same. Then, all at once, the pulsing beat flare suddenly, taking on a varying rythm. The people in the clearing swayed, moving to the unearthly heartbeat that all of them felt. As the 'song' grew in strength, Talaar kept a frim grip on Paradise's hand, unwilling to abandon her to the extreme excitement of such an event. In only a few moments, everyone had gone from relaxing and lounging about to dancing. Not a single voice could be heard, only that deep, noiseless beat. Talaar turned to Paradise, his eyes the color of molten gold, but it was not the Wolf behind those eyes, it was all Talaar.

Paradise looked back at Talaar, when she saw him looking at her. His eyes changed, and she whispered, "Is that because your are wolf?" very quietly. Not knowing or wanting to get in trouble so she whispered it, while leaning her head, closer to him. So he could hear her small voice. She stared back at his eyes, and could never admit how beautiful they were to her. She smiled slighty, keeping his grip on her hands.

Talaar bent down so that he could whisper directly in her ear. "Ssshhh.. no talking now. Just... feel." His hand came up against his will to lightly brush her cheek. The beat was steadily building, most of the people had gone wild, thier bodies twisting and writhing to it in increadible ways. Talaar's own body was starting to give in to it.

Paradise frowned. She was starting to think this whole 'party' thing was getting a little wierd. And refused to 'feel' it. She wanted to ask why he touched her cheek, in the first place, but instead had a better thing to say, "Talaar, I think I should go..." She said, as she started to get up. She knew her mom wouldn't approve of this. And at the moment, she was ashamed of herself, for even going.

Talaar froze, confused. Usually, humans could feel the 'beat' as easily as anyone else. Why couldn't Paradise? He blocked the rising excitement out of his mind and pulled her away from the fire, away from the increasing intensity of the 'party'. "What's wrong?" He asked, concerned.

Paradise shrugged, "Nothing. I just think I should leave." She stared back at him, and added, "I'm sorry. I'm not the type to..." She pointed. " 'Party' like that. And my family wouldn't approve either. Which way back to my house?" She asked, frowning at him. She didn't mean to be so rude, but she knew she needed to leave. Now.

Talaar sighed, shaking his head. "Just... just, give me a minute, allright?" He went back into the crowd, whispered something someone's ear, who then nodded, before pushing back through the writhing ma.ss of bodies to where Paradise was standing. "Come on, I'll drive you home." Perhaps he had overestimated Paradise, maybe she really didn't want to get away from the enclosed life she lived as much as Talaar thought she did. He had made an error in judgement, and he was now paying the price in disappointment as he led her back down the path to the main street.

Paradise crossed her arms over her chest, and walked down with him. "I'm sorry..." She said, as they walked in silence. "Its just not my thing, just like dances aren't you kind of thing..." She said quietly. And was glad when the beat was finally out of her ears.
