Delaney held her close to him,

"Do you want him to leave?" he asked her quietly, "I don't want you or the baby stressed."

Peter dropped his head,

"I would do anything to turn back the clock, but I can't," he told Kirsty, "it was the drugs they took over, I haven't been myself for all these years.  I know it's no excuse, but it's the truth."  Peter's eyes went to the man again, struggling to remember where he had seen him before, it was something in the news he was pretty sure, years ago.

Delaney stood he nodded towards the door,

"She's in no state to talk to you," he told the man in a tone that wouldn't be argued with, "let me see you out." Delaney walked too the door and held it open,his eyes never leaving Kirsty's Dad. He was keeping his anger under control for Kirsty's sake, but he would have like to have knocked the guys head off.

Peter's eyes went too the open door, then they flitted back to Kirsty, he knew he wasn't goign to get too far this time, he decided to give her a choice,

"Sometimes Kirsty it's better to face your demons, I learned that in rehab, even if it causes you pain.  I am living in the hostel in town if you want to talk at anytime."  Peter went slowley towards the door, his eyes wondered too the tall, dark man, his mind had been addled by years useing drugs, he wished he could place his face.

Delaney took Peter's arm firmly and shoved him ut on to the pavement befor ehe could say anything else to upset Kirsty further, he looked at the him, his eyes cold,

"Don't come near here again," he warned and slammed the door in his face, he walked over to Kirsty, "you know where he is if you ever want to see him," he said bulntly, "but I would have caused him some damage if he would hve stayed."  Delaney put his arms around Kirsty.

Peter stood in the drizzle on the pavement, he supposed he should have been glad he hadn't been hit, but there was anger boiling in his stmoach as well as overwhelming guilt, she hadn't even bothered to see his side.  Peter stuck his hands in his pockets and wondered in the direction of the Hostel, they had told him in rehab to learn to let go of his anger.  He hoped Kirsty would want to talk to him, when she was less shocked that he had turned up, at least she knew where to find him.

Delaney kissed Kirsty back, his eyes went to the closed door briefly, then he looked at Kirsty's tear streaked face, his eyes flitted too the door briefly,

"Don't worry ," he assured her, "you're not alone anymore."

Mickey held Jess too him carefully,

"Jess, she is fine, she wasn't hurt, but she is distressed, she heard th ebang and then everythign went on and..."  Mickey trailed off, a lump in his throat, he kissed Jess's hair, "I thought I had lost you there, who fired that shot Jess?"

Annabelle started to calm down and grabbed onto her mothers top burying her head into her chest giving her a feeling of saftey knowing that she wasn't going anywhere hopefuly.

Kirsty smiled at him before nodding and kissing him again. "Thank you again" she said hugging him more. She began to think if her father found her easily then it wouldn't be long before her mother found her as well.

Mickey held Jess quietly for a few minutes as blinding anger shot through him,

"I din't know Diego was in this hospital," he growled, "I wonder why he was here.  I am going to hunt him down and...." Mickey stopped and looked at Annabelle in Jess's arms, "I won't let him do this to you anymore, he will kill you."

Delaney felt Kirsty tense slightly,

"What's wrong pet?" he asked her, knowing something was worrying her.

Delaney scowled,

"If she comes looking for you she is not about to get a warm welcome," he growled, a menacing tone in his voice.  Delaney's hold tightened on Kirsty protectivley,

"I'm not letting anyone hurt you."

Mickey kissed Annabelles head, then he kissed Jess,

"I am going to the office to find out where Diego was last seen, I'll work from there," he decided, his hand automatically going to his gun, his eyes went to Jess, "you rest Jess, I am having an officer on the door, just in case, he knows where you are now."

Annabelle soon fell asleep to her mums humming.

Kirsty smiled at him "All i seem to keep saying to you today is thank you" She said with a small laugh as she nuzzled her head into him smiling.

Jenny turned to Diego after they had left the hospital. "Why couldn't you of just waited?" She asked him while rolling her eyes.
