Del stayed by the window. He didn't see how his love could ever consider it beautiful. "Okay. You can have the ones you want, and I'll take whatever's left over." He told her, not even glancing in Melanie's direction. Del spotted his Iceland, and was surprised that it did in fact look almost completely ice-bound from so high up.

''Ok. I'll take the morning and evening shifts, and you can have the midday and night shifts.'' The lights were programmed to go brighter and dimmer in correspondance with earths nights and days, so they wouldn't get jet lag when they headed home. And to give them some measure of time. ''What do you think this new planet will be like?'' She asked. All previous robotic missions had failed to capture any images; the atmosphere prevented radar signals entirely from being transmitted.

Del nodded. "I'm guessing that either it's a waste land, or it's overgrown... I wonder if there is life on the planet. That would make our trip very interesting..." He tried to think of what kind of being would live on a non-Earthly planet, and then his thoughts immediately jumped to that being in a cage and sent back to Earth. He didn't want to see that happen, so Del hoped that the wouldn't find anything.

''I hope it's overgrown. More chances of life existing, and that means we can catch something and bring it back. Imagine it, Del! We'd go down in history! People everywhere would know our names! Just like Neil Armstrong or something.'' She said, with a slight laugh. ''Well, it's evening now. You should get some sleep, from what I can see, the new technology is doing better than anticipated, and we should be there by tomorrow morning.'' She buckled herself back in, and pressed a few buttons, before grabbing the steering wheel again.

Del paled at the thought. Melanie had seemed to have lost interest in him already, so he didn't try to hide the fact he had paled. Sometimes it was nice that she usually had little interest in him. Del moved to the back of the ship to where the small bed that had been installed was located.

[[Hmn... I'll do it. He can disembark into the forest-covered world first, if you want. If you have a good imagination at plants. 'Cos I don't. o_o]] Melanie saw a hazy sphere in the distance, too small to even tell the colour of it properly. ''Del! Del, wake up! DEL!'' She eventually screamed his name, eager, excited. They were nearly there, nearly at the planet. Del would kill her for finding it first. Hehe, especially seeing as his shift only ended about an hour ago, if even that.

Del jumped out of the bed- if he could even call it that- and stumbled into the main area in the ship. "What is it? Is something wrong? Are you dieing?" He rushed out, before calming down when he saw Melanie was completely fine. "Don't scare me like that, I thought something bad had happened." He sighed and looked past her and saw the planet. [[Yeah, that's fine.]]

''No, not something bad. Something good. Something very good.'' Pausing for a moment to manouver the ship through the thick atmosphere, she landed on a high, rocky outcrop, surrounded by trees. ''Del, we're here.'' She said, turning to him, smiling, love and happiness etched into her face. ''We've reached the planet.''

Del stood gaping at the window in awe at the planet. He couldn't believe that they were already there. But they were. He took a step to the window and placed his hand on the cool glass. "Who's going out first?" He murmured. They were still very far away, but he could already see plants that he didn't know.

[[Yus, I saw youuu. Nu hiding from the stalker Ty. Lmao. I just realized. I was stalking a stalker thread. xD]] ''You can, if you want.'' Melanie said, smiling. She knew he wanted to. The ship touched down with a slight bump, and she read a couple of meters before turning to him and grinning. ''Hey, the oxygen's good here. We won't need our helmets.''

[[lol, okay xD I usually reply to Rotten first because I'm not very literate in it... I always save my literate rps for last.]] Del sighed. Thank god. He hated those stupid helmets, the only good they ever did was protect him from bashing his head into a wall he hadn't seen once. He gave a shaky smile and moved to the controls and pressed a few buttons so the door would open.

[[Lols. I just bumped this to make it easier for you to find. <3 I knew you'd get round to it. ^_^]] The door began slowly descending to the ground, until at the last few centimeters, it dropped suddenly. Melanie zipped up the thermal control suit she was wearing; it was best to protect yourself against anything you might find, including temperature. That done, she stood up slowly and peered out into the- quite literally- alien world.

[[blah, sorry. I forgot about this one xD ]] Del did the same and made sure his suit was shut before following Melanie. He was shocked at what he saw. Everything was green, and anything that wasn't was brown. Del slowly took a step out. He could hear bird-like noises coming from the sky, and he gaped up in awe.

[[That's ok. ^_^]] Kira heard a noise as she wandered through the thick undergrowth on her hunt. She had in one hand her spear, a long shaft of about six feet, tipped with a silver-coloured stone, razor sharp. She stopped, motionless, as the birds around her started crying and cawing, and climbed the tree she was behind quickly, to get a better look. She hid in the shadows of the wide leaves, perched on a thick branch as she stared down curiously at the people below her. They were not unlike her; they had two eyes, a nose and a mouth, and a similar body as well, even if they were both rather small. She gaped at the ship; it was huge, a giant metal thing. A monster. She gave a small growl at it, but was shocked that it didn't respond.
~ Melanie stood next to Del, her jaw literally dropping in surprise. ''Del... are you seeing what I'm seeing? This planet has more than just the bacteria we hoped for! It has fully developed life, and possibly some intelligent life at that!'' She heard a small growl, and looked up, but couldn't see what made it.

Del didn't hear the noise. "What are you looking at?" He asked, but didn't stay to hear her reply. He started walking deeper into what looked like a forest, touching leaves and branches along the way. He could see incest-like creatures on branches and on the ground, but didn't care much about them. It was the plants he was so interested in. He felt like a kid in a candy store.

''Nothing. I thought I heard something, is all...'' Melanie realized she was talking to herself, and headed bac to the ship. Sure, Del could have his fun. Someone needed to stay with the ship, though. She'd go explore tomorrow. He wasn't likely to find much but plants, anyway. ~ Kira leapt silently from branch to branch, ducking low under the thick boughs of trees as she continued along. She was following the alien with interest. It was obvious he was not from her planet. What was he, though? Why was he on her planet? How did he get here? Was it in that big machine? She had realized, off course, that it couldn't be an animal. It was made of some kind of metal, much like the small contraptions the wise men and women in her village made sometimes. She was watching him intently, when she heard the home siren of her village. She should be in the central hut by now... just a little longer. A little longer, and she'd go.

Del had the feeling that he was being watched, but he threw the thought aside. There were surly animals here, and they would probably watch him. Anyway, the most dangerous thing he had see so far was a few bright-colored plants, which he guessed were poisoness. Suddenly, he thought he could hear some sound in the distance. He froze, wondering what it was.
