"I found you by a tree. Some of your fur was on the tree. Maybe you crashed into it when you were invading us." Okami watched her perk with happiness. Why was she so happy? Her tail was wagging, and it amused him. Thank you for taking me prisoner? Okami chuckled. He lowered his head and closed his eyes. "I know how you feel, I guess. I'm kinda an outcast in my own Pack. They think I'm an odd one just because I have extra fur hanging down in front of my eyes. They say I kinda look like a human because of the way my extra fur falls down from my head. Maybe that's why I don't really spend much time with my Pack mates." he shrugged. He shook his head and looked away, "I don't even know why I'm telling you this."

"You're telling me this because i'm just like you. I'm the one that no one seems to like. All the males want me, and all the females hate me. I've never done anything to anyone but I have nothing more to do with my pack than to hunt and provide for them", she spoke. "Invading would be the last thing I would do, at least not with Alpha orders. All I can remember is a storm...the storm. A blizzard....", she closed her eyes, trying to remember what happened. she hung her head low after a few minutes and looked at him. "i'm sorry... i'm being a burden to you. You probably have better things to do than to sit here and watch me like a pup...", she smiled. She moved closer to him and nudged his muzzle with hers. "You were the one who licked my wound clean that much I know, so thank you", she wagged her tail in accordance to her happy mood.

Okami blushed so hard, that you can feel his pelt become warm. "Y-You're not a burden...." he replied. "I actually don't have better things to do, to tell the truth. Unless you count patrols and hunting for my Pack, but then I always cause trouble at your boarders and everything." he shrugged. He started wagging his tail, chuckling, "You should see your guys' faces! It's hilarious! Always growling and barking at me, trying to keep me from entering. Like I would do that. Please, I would much rather not stink of DayPack scent." he laughed. He shook his head, "I'm Okami, by the way. Thought you'll like to know my name since I'm guarding you and all."

Maka smiled at him and giggled. Her laugh rang out like bells, her voice chimed throughout the cave and she looked at him once more. "Trust me I know how their faces look. I watch from a distance and you're pretty funny. Don't worry about our stinch you MoonPack members also have a weird stink to you as well", she chuckled. "I'm Maka... it's a pleasure! You won't be guarding much though. I'm afraid i don't have enough strength to put up a fight and run", she joked. She winced again as her head began to throb and her body ached once more. Her ears pinned down against her head and she whined a few times more. Her eyes, still a lilac color began to grow brighter with tiny hints of light blue in them. The colors mixed together beautifully and her tail accidently landed on his as it moved around lightly. She blushed and quickly wrapped it against the right side of her body.

Okami blushed again, "Don't be afraid to put up a fight though. It would help the being of my boredom." he chuckled. He curled up closer to Maka and laid his head down on her side. "If you feel as if you need more medicine, tell me. I can go get Meiwakuna and Nibui to go and fetch Chiryoshi for you." He murmured. He felt tired, and yawned. He swished his tail and closed his eyes. "Have you ever gotten the feeling, where you felt like you wanted that one thing so badly, but you know it's forbidden by your Pack?" he asked. Okami felt weird asking this. He hoped that he wasn't letting too much on. It was against the Samurai Code to love another wolf from another Pack, but he couldn't help it. Maka seemed so beautiful. Okami felt furious about himself for loving a DayPack wolf, but he felt so helpless doing it. He never felt helpless before.

Maka smiled at Okami's humorous jokes. She wagged her tail more and looked down at the ground taking in what he had said before. "Yes. I know exactly how you feel...i wish our packs could get along. things would be better for both of us, for both packs", she sighed. She looked at Okami and noticed he looked troubled. "Don't worry about me i'm ok. I'm stronger than I look", she smiled, hoping to cheer him up. It didn't seem to work, and she looked at him once more. He looked troubled about something more than her wounds and injuries. "Are you ok?", she questioned him, worried about his state of mind.

Okami was afraid to admit his feelings to this she-wolf. He only just got to know her. What happens if she's a back-stabbing kind of wolf? Besides, she's from DayPack. He can't love her. Or can he? "Maka...." began. "I... I feel like I must tell you something. It's of... how I feel." He felt so weird saying this. He felt trapped right now, torn between loyalty to his Pack and loyalty to this wolf. He flicked his tail as his extra long fur fell into his eyes.

Maka's ears perked and she looked at him. She could sense how he felt, and she blushed. His body grew hotter and she nudged his muzzle with hers. "It's ok. you don't have to say anything else ok?", she closed her eyes and layed her muzzle next to his, nuzzling it and she crawled closer to him. His heart must have been torn, and she could feel it. "If you don't want to say it you don't have too... i know how you feel about this. You must know that both packs would find out", she whined. "I f-feel the same way...", she smiled lightly, looking into the fire she had created. "I'm dangerous Okami. I'm not good to be around. My emotions take over my powers and I become lethal...", she frowned and layed her head onto her paws, tears welling up in her beautiful lilac eyes.

Okami shook her his and licked Maka between the ears. "Don't cry, you're too beautiful to cry." he said. He started licking her muzzle and neck, "You don't think I'm dangerous? I have powers too, you know. I ain't no ordinary wolf." He flicked his tail and it landed on Maka's. "We just have to make sure, though, that no one finds out about this." he whispered. He started to think about what the penalty would be if Alpha Yoru found out about this. He shivered as the thought of having them put to death. Ah, but if Maka was to be dead too, then he would be with her forever and always as a spirit.

Maka smiled and licked his muzzle back lightly wagging her tail against the cave floor. "Okami, they can read your mind. They'll find out about this...", she whined. Maka inched closer to him and silently whimpered. She layed her muzzle on his once more before laying her head down on his paws. "I know you have powers too, which is why they would find out about us Okami", she sighed. She sat up on her haunches and her emotions took a turn for the worst. The clouds in the sky built up and it immediately began to snow furiously, piling up more snow on top of what both packs had already been through. "This is all my fault...if I hadn't been so stupid!c If only I had done something about this sooner!", she yelled at herself. The storm outside grew much worse and the snow grew in size and began to pour from the sky even faster, growing in size on the ground. Maka turned from Okami and sighed. Her eyes had turned a steelish gray. "I'm sorry Okami...", she cried out.

"They won't find out of I concentrate my mind on something real hard." Okami replied. He began licking Maka's pelt, grooming it. "Don't be sorry, you know how many times the weather changes thanks to your whole entire Pack? It's not just you. Besides, I think MoonPack has gotten use to it by now." He wrapped his tail around the she-wolf. It did, in fact, wrapped around her waist. His tail was large, long, and fluffy. It could easily secure more warmth for the she-wolf. He rested his muzzle on her shoulder. "I love you,"

Maka turned slightly to look at the wolf head resting upon her shoulder. "I know...I love you as well. We must keep this under the waves...but...", she paused. The snow had calmed itself with her emotions, but she could hear someone off in the distance padding this way. "Quick Okami someone is approaching", she growled. She padded back over to the fire, put it out and lay down quickly, curling her body up into a fetal position on the floor. She whined and whimpered from her aches and pains. She shouldn't have moved so fast but she had no choice. The pain grew and started to get excrutiating but she ignored it, pretending to be ok. She closed her eyes and pretended to be asleep. Her ears pinned against her head, but still able to hear so much in detail. |

It was Smearz, the deputy, and Alpha Yoru. "Have you gotten any answers, Okami?" Yoru asked. Okami shrugged, "She said she doesn't remember." Alpha Yoru snarled, "Like hell she doesn't remember!" He charged and shoved Okami out of the way. He bent his head real close to Maka's. "Wake, mutt! Wake now and tell me your purpose for being in MoonPack territory! Is DayPack planning an invasion? Are you a spy? Tell me now!" Okami watched, anger searing inside of him. He started to growl. Smearz looked up at him with a confused glint in his eyes, but didn't say anything.

Maka growled lowly and bared her fangs at him. "You had better step a good 5 feet away from me or you'll lose your throat Yoru...", she snarled. She began to stand up, her anger taking her mind off her pains and injuries. "I know this much. There is no invasion Yoru. I'm not a spy, and I can't honestly remember my reason for being in YOUR territory!", she growled. The hair on the line of her back began to rise and stand on end. A ring of fire had combusted around her, protecting her from any attack. "I suggest you go now before you lose something, and trust me it won't just be your dignity", the hot blooded she wolf spoke out in rage. She looked at Smearz and he seemed to be looking at Okami quite hard. She growled and focused her attention more on Yoru. She raised her head and smiled a devilish smile. "You aren't worth my time Yoru... go back to your pack. Okami will be fine here... if he doesn't die", she grinned more. "I'm sure he can handle his own though...", Maka said. She then looked at Okami and her eyes became a fiery red.

"I am the Alpha of this Pack, Maka! Okami is my responsibility, just as you are of him! Right now, you are MY prisoner that trespassed on MY territory without permission from ME." he growled. He padded closer to the she-wolf's fire barrier. "I am one of those wolves who can levitate. Fire won't help you." he snarled. Okami's growl became louder, and it distracted the Pack leader. Yoru turned around and glared at his Samurai, "Are you growling at me, or growling at Maka?" he asked. "Because the way that you are growling, it sounds as if you're growling at me. Are you challenging me, Okami?" he asked. Okami stopped growling, "No," he replied. "And my growl was directed to Maka, Alpha Yoru. I would never challenge you. You are much stronger than I, and much wiser." Okami replied, eyes cold like ice.

"Pfft. You don't scare me. I wasn't an alpha once for no-", Maka immediately stopped talking. She looked at Okami and then at Yoru. Her ring had died off, and she sat back on her haunches. She spoke no more, and looked down at the ground. She closed her eyes and sighed. Her eyes reopened and the bright red fiery color that was once there has turned icey blue. "Do what you want, I have no reason to fight, and I won't", she growled lowly.

Yoru glares at Okami, then at Maka. He then sat back, "Tonight is the full moon. As we all know there is a gathering. I will report this at the gathering, see if your precious Pack is missing you already. Okami, you will be attending. You will report what you need to report. I'll have Nibui look after Maka, and station Kiaba with Meiwakuna, so there will be still a patrol to fetch what is needed." Yoru said. He stood up and padded out of the cave. "Come, Okami. Smearz will stay here until Nibui comes." Okami looked at Maka. He didn't want to leave her, but then he had to listen to his Alpha. He followed Yoru out of the gave, ears bent down as well as his tail. Nibui came in, after a few short minutes later. He was a muscled dark brown wolf, though very silent. Okami hissed at him as he walked passed, but it was barely audible.

Maka looked at Yoru and sighed. She found the very corner of the cave and curled up in it. She had no intention of leaving the cave, nor did she care if they came for her. She whined and missed Okami each minute he was gone. "Okami....please hurry back", she whined and watched as Nibui walked in. The dark wolf didn't scare her, and she fell asleep curled up by herself, missing Okami very badly.

Okami flicked his tail impatiently during the whole gathering. "And now, my Samurai Okami has something to report." Yoru announced to the two Packs. Okami made a silent whimper as every pair of wolf eyes fell onto him. He stood up and puffed his chest out, "A DayPack she-wolf has crossed our boarder and has been taken prisoner. MoonPack will not take invasion lightly. So not send your.. s-spies... over our boarder!" Okami's voice faltered a bit. There were angry howls and growls coming from DayPack. "Who's this 'prisoner'?" asked one wolf. "M-Maka...." Okami couldn't handle all this pressure. Would her Pack punish her for crossing the boarder? The howls and barks and growls got to his head. It seemed like the whole world was spinning before him. He gave a sigh, then, passed out.

Nibui kept a silent eye on Maka. "So... why did you cross the boarder?" he asked, his voice low, and deep, with a terminator accent. (XD)

Maka looked out the cave entrance at the full moon high in the sky. She sighed and watched Nibui's every move. She closed her eyes and tried to remember everything that happened. Then again though, if she told them what happened. she would either die, or be sent back to her pack. "Okami...", she thought to herself. She sat and wondered what the wolf had been doing at the gathering. Her ears perked and her eyes opened to the soundof Nibui talking to her. "Listen, like I told your alpha I can't remember. All i know is that I crashed into a tree and it knocked me unconscious...", she growled. Her defense grew inside of her along with the amount of rage and mixed emotions. She whimpered and closed her eyes once more to try and remember. "Seems I could remember better with Okami here...", she cried to herself.
