Alpha Yoru entered the cave. "Okami will not be able to get back to guard duty tonight, mutt." he growled at Maka. "He passed out during the gathering. Chiryoshi said it was due to stress. He won't be back until tomorrow morning." he growled. He turned to Nibui, "Do you want another wolf to take your place for night shift?" Nibui shook his head, and Yoru exit out of the cave.

Maka growled. "I don't care who you put on for my "watching". Just make sure they're strong. If I rip their throat out you won't know it", she chuckled devilishly. she watched as he exited the cave and Maka whined softly to herself. "Oh no...Okami!", she cried inside her head. Nibui seemed eager to watch her throughout the night but she ignored it and curled up, hoping and praying Okami would be ok. She soon fell into a deep sleep, dreaming that Okami would be by her side when she woke up.

Nibui circled Maka, amused by the young she-wolf's attitude. He sat down in front of her, "I'm sure we would know if you ripped out our throats. The snow would be stained with blood, and the patrol isn't that far away from the cave. They would be able to see and hear a fight." He flicked his tail.

Okami blinked his eyes open. He was in the Pack Healer's den. He whimpered, his vision blurry, and he was light headed. He slowly raised his head, "M-Maka?" he asked. Maka wasn't there, of course. He heard bramble hangings swoosh and the scent of Chiryoshi entered his nostrils. "Maka?" he repeated, then passed out again.

Maka let out a laugh. "Ha! You mutts have nothing on us! You may have defense, but in the end our offense would tear you limb from limb so don't make me laugh pup!", she snarled. Maka then turned her back to the dark wolf. She watched his every move and suddenly a ring of fire englufed her . "Just try me pup", she growled once more, baring her sharp she wolf fangs in his direction. Her body was hot, and her paws and tail were engulfed with flames. The ring around her was a hot fiery orange and red flame. She layed down, intently watching the wolf's moves as her eyes swirled a reddish orange color, almost the same as the flames which have surrounded her.

Nibui tilted his head. "Why would I waste my time in battling a mangy flea-pelt like you?" he asked. Sitting down, "If you really were that tough, you would've attacked by now instead of hiding yourself behind the safety of your words." He shook his fur and glared at Maka. "Besides, I don't think I'll battle something I have a taste in." he hinted, then laid down and closed his eyes. "Actually kinda glad Okami's gone. Aren't you? Don't want to get him too distracted from his Samurai duties." he hinted again.

"You have a taste in me? Typical MoonPack mutt...", Maka shyed away from his words, and picked her ears up in full alert. She growled and dropped her barrier. "I'm wise unlike you flea bag! If I were you i'd keep your tongue in your jowls...", she snarled once more. Her growl became more deep throated and more harsh sounding. The sound scared Maka. She had no idea the kind of power she withheld inside of her. "What does he know about Okami? Is he making a move on me!? If that's the case, he'd better stay his distance that mangy wolf", she thought to herself. The thought of Nibui trying to make a move on her made her both sick and disgusted. Her true nature was coming out, and soon the storm will come, and never go away at this rate.

Nibui chuckled, "Okami seems to take a liking to you." The wolf rolled onto his back. "I should warn Yoru, but a crush is a crush. I had my fair share of DayPack crushes. Never made a move on them of course." He shrugged. He yawned and stretched, then sat back up. He continued to watch the she-wolf closely. Okami had good taste in she-wolves, he noticed.

Maka chuckled along with him, but longed for Okami's touch. She wished he would hurry up and come back to her already. She finally drifted off to sleep, hoping that sooner or later she would wake up with Okami by her side, keeping her warm with his soft touch and hot pelt.
"Maka's Dream" Maka was running back to the borders between the two packs. "I have to warn them of this terrible storm!", she cries out. She watched as the Alpha turned to see her running. The wind had helped her run faster but suddenly she couldn't stop in time. Her alpha had distracted her from stopping. She had come across the border and tried to turn back but she lost all control and crashed back first into a huge sycamore tree. Blood spilt from her mouth as she fell, unconscious to the ground hard. Maka had woken up and the sun had just risen over the horizon, letting all it's rays pour into the mouth of the cave. "I remember!", she shouts out. Her body responds fastly and the light from the sun combusts her body into extremely hot flames. "Is Amaterasu lending me her powers?", she thinks to herself. Her body is well and she has grown a bit in size. Maka breathes in deeply, inhaling the beautiful scent of the morning dews, early sunshine, and awakening flowers off in the distance.

(i was gonna have Okami dream too of a Japanese God. o.o whoah.)
---OKAMI'S DREAM---
The dark pelted wolf walked through a dark heaven, clouded with shadows. Above him, the moons shone brightly, illuminating his pelt. He glanced around with his bright eyes, and up ahead saw that there was another wolf. It was a wolf of sleek, black fur with white markings. White mist surrounded her. The she-wolf was tall, easily towering over the male wolf. Okami looked into her eyes, "Are you-"
"Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto, the Shinto moon goddess born out of the right eye of Izanagi-no-Mikoto. I am in the form of a wolf such as yourself."
Awed by the presence of the goddess, Okami remained silent.
"I have come to renew your strength and show of the new era that is arising." Tsukuyomi bowed her head to a large puddle that Okami didn't notice before. The puddle quickly grew into a lake, and in it he could see reflections. The land of which the two Packs lived in were covered by a thick blanket of shadow. Demons and corrupted wolves attacked, and many wolves from both Packs were found dead. Okami looked up terrified at Tsukuyomi. "What is this?" he asked.
"Two must become one, remember that." Tsukuomi-no-Mikoto turned her head. Light was starting to pour into the dark night scenery of his dream. "Amaterasu Omikami is waking. I must leave now." Okami's world soon turned into a bright, white light as everything disappeared.
---REALITY TIME :o ---
Okami woke up, startled. Chiryoshi padded to him, "You seem well." he complimented. Okami stared at the Pack Healer. "Tell me you have had a dream too, with Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto's presence in it?" The Pack Healer only tilted his head, confused. "What?" Okami shook his head and stood up. He bounded out of the Healing den and up to the mountains. He had to tell Maka what he dreamed of!

"Remember what?" Nibui asked. He flicked his ear as he sat up with a yawn. "Do you DayPack wolves always wake up so early?"

"I remember why I corssed the border! We must go Nibui! Now quickly before it becomes too late!!", Maka yells and begins to bound out of the cave. She looks at Nibui standing in front of her. She notices something different about the day. The clouds aren't white like normal. The sky is darkening and lightning strikes down by the cave. Maka's eyes widen and her mouth gapes open as she stutters tremendously. "Oh n-no... Nibui get down!", she yells and bites the wolf by the nape of his neck, flinging him into the back of the cave and climbs on top of him, shielding him from the flying debris as lightning strikes right on top of the cave and destroys it. Rock fragments go flying as fast as lightning towards them and the powers from Amaterasu shield them with a bright white barrier that Maka puts up to shield Nibui. After the lightning stops, she unwields the barrier and looks at him. "Are you ok? I could sense the lightning was giong to hit right where you were standing...sorry abotu your neck", she whined.

By the time Okami got near enough to the cave, he heard and saw the cave in. The patrol came to see what happened. Panic feared Okami's chest, "Maka!" He ran as fast as he could to the tumbled rocks. He started to try and dig his way through, but there were too many. "Maka! Maka!" He barked, his claws scraping against stone. He heard his Pack mates howling for back up, but most of the sounds were drowned away from him. He could hear his heart pounding in his ears. He began whimpering, "Maka...."

Nibui shook his fur and stared at the rocks. How were they going to get out? He heard noise on the other side. They rocks must've created some la
yer between here and the outside world, but a la
yer that he could break through. "Too bad you're not a MoonPack member," Nibui sneared as he padded up to the rocks. He bowed his head and closed his eyes, and once he opened them back up, they were a glowing yellow color. A giant clawed hand-like figure appeared above his head and moved towards one of the large rocks. The hand gripped into the rock and flew it to the back of the cave. He did it a few more times, but then had to rest. The boulders were too heavy for him to do it all alone.

Maka watched as Nibui restlessly worked to clear the rocks out of the way to get to the other side. "Nibui, you can't do this alone", she looked at the winded wolf and whined a bit. She clawed the ground and the rock began to shift apart. The huge boulders that had fallen were being broken up into smaller rocks for Nibui could also move them. She looked at him, still panting, and continued on until she herself got tired. She broke through a hole and could see the darkening sky. She continued to dig out the rocks. A sharp rock hit her forepaw and cut her deeply. She yelped and stepped back growling. "Damn rock...", she growled and began to dig out with one paw, quietly licking her paw clean. She worked herself until nearly passing out, but didn't give up on rescuing both Nibui and her.

Okami started moving the rocks with telekinesis, as well as his Pack mates. "I have to get to her," he growled. Suddenly, he felt stronger, more capable of moving these large rocks. He started working fast, until he could actually see inside the cave again. He thrust his muzzle inside the hole,"Maka, you in there?" he asked.

Maka paused and gasped. "Okami! We're trapped!", she cried out. "I cut my paw badly on a rock! It won't quit bleeding", she whined, noticing a pool of blood surrounding her feet. she got weaker and weaker as she steadily continued digging to save their lives. she finally got too weak to dig out anything. She stumbled backwards but caught her footing before she fell. "Hurry...Okami", she whispered, panting drastically. Her eyesight began to get dizzy.

"Maka!" Okami panicked. He started digging again, and soon the hole was big enough for him to squeeze through. He sent a silent thanks to Tsukuyomi. He ran into the cave and sniffed Maka. "Can you still hear me?" he asked.

Nibui rolled his eyes. "Thanks for asking me," he muttered. He padded next to Maka and picked up a half of her. "You grab the other half. We'll shove her through the hole onto the other side. There are others, right?" he asked. Okami nodded, then picked up Maka too.

Maka caught a glimpse of okami before she passed out. "O...kami", she collapsed onto the ground. Her blood covered her fur and she blacked out, unable to sense anything around her.

Okami and Nibui somehow managed to squeeze Maka through the hole. Chiryoshi rushed to them. "Is anybody hurt?" he asked. Okami nosed Maka's paw, "She's lost too much blood, Chiryoshi. Her paw won't stop bleeding." Chiryoshi sorted through the herbs he had. "I can put grasshoof to stop any infection and cobwebs to stop the bleeding." the Pack Healer turned his head to Nibui, "Go get some wet and damp moss so we can clean the wound." Nibui went away, and Okami stayed with Maka. Worry glinted in his eyes. Was Maka going to be the start of all the deaths that are yet to come?

Maka lay unconscious on the ground. She could feel nothing, nor see anyone. her sense of smell has weakened and her soul's will to fight has weakened as well. A vision of white light surrounds Maka, keeping all who come near out of the way. From the dark sky a light of ray shines down on the barrier and an image of Amaterasu appears inside the barrier with Maka. "This wolf, Maka, is of my ancestry. She is my heir. She shall be the sun of two dark moons. Head my warnings, wolves of both packs will suffer a great loss...be careful.", Amaterasu speaks. "Okami, remember the words Tsukuyomi spoke of. Two must become one...", she speaks once more then vanishes along with the ray of light, and Maka is layed back to the ground. The sky darkens once again and Maka begins to awaken. She winces and bats her eyes lightly. She looks up to see Okami standing before her. "O-Okami", she whispers.

"Maka!" Okami whispered joyfully. Amaterasu's warning scared him, as well as Tsukuyomi's. Why did Japanese goddesses have to be so confusing? Nibui tilted his head, "Was that-" Chiryoshi answer for him, "Amaterasu, yes. Okami, what does she mean?" Okami's throat tightened, and he shook his head. "I-I have no idea." he lied. 'Let's just get Maka better. We need to take her back to her Pack as soon as possible." Okami said. He looked down at Maka, his eyes glistening.

"I'm ...tired of hiding Okami", she whispered. She unsteadily picked her paws up and stood shaking. "I..d-don't want to fight...anymore", she cried out. Her breath was shakey and her body shook vigorously from weakness. She took a step forward and stumbled over. Maka coughed up a lot of blood but picked her body up once more and stumbled forward, up to the top of the mountain. "I... I have to stop this fighting...Okami", she cries out growling.
