The MoonPack wolves watched in silence except for Okami. The dark pelted wolf scampered to Maka. "W-What are you doing?" he asked. He rested his head on Maka's cheek. "You can do this, you are a strong wolf, a strong samurai. The gods won't like it if you gave up like this. Maka, the Packs need us. What Tsukuyomi warned me, it frightened me, but its clear that we need to stay and protect our Packs. Don't give up Maka." Okami licked the she-wolf's cheek. "I love you."

Maka panted harder and climbed higher to the top of the mountain. she turned to Okami, her legs shaking with weakness. "I know...Okami, WE need to do this. You and me...", she turned to look at most members of the MoonPack, and then stumbled to Okami and nuzzled his neck, licking his muzzle softly. "I love you. Come on Okami...", she proceeded to stumble up the mountain side. Maka licked his muzzle more and smiled. "you going to protect me", she joked and stumbled more. DayPack Alpha Ruko heard of all the news of Amaterasu and rushed past the border and ran into Chiryoshi. "Healer, what is going on? We aren't manipulating the weather! Do you have any information on this?", the alpha questioned. He steadily stared at Maka continuing to walk up the mountainside. |

Okami flicked his tail, "Of course I will." He looked back and saw that Alpha Yoru and Alpha Ruko standing with the MoonPack wolves. Okami wondered if they saw the whole thing. Even if they didn't the Pack would've, and they would report to the Pack leaders. They were going to get in trouble, but right now he didn't care. He looked at Maka, "We have to tell the Pack of the goddess' warnings. We can't leave them like this." he whispered.
Chiryoshi looked at the DayPack alpha, "your guess is as good as mine."

Maka loked back at the wolves, hopelessly standing there with no clue of what's going on or what's going to happen. "Stay here", she nuzzled him once more and made her way clumsily to where the pack members were all standing around still watching. By this time all pack members from both sides were gathered. "Wolves, this is no time to fight. Amaterasu, and Tsukiyomi have both appeared in our dreams", she looks back to Okami. "A great storm is approaching, and DayPack wolves we cannot handle this on our own", she looks at her Alpha who's eyes are filled with worry. "MoonPack wolves, you cannot deal with this by yourselves. An immense storm not anyone can control is on it's way", she warns. She looks over at Yoru who seems frozen. "Yoru, you ask me to remember why I crossed the border? Here's your answer. I knew of the storm. I rushed back to warn both packs of this imminent storm of chaos! I was running...too fast. I couldn't stop in time and hit the tree with my back...and that is why I couldn't remember", she orders to Yoru.
Maka looks back at Okami who as well seems frozen. "Yoru", she calls, "That wolf there. Okami. He's brave, and very noble. I hate no MoonPack member, nor do i dislike any of them... but I love Okami", she stands upright, her head held high and her tail wags slightly. Her eyes turn a light sky blue and the color of her fur begins to lighten up until suddenly it's pure white. "I am the last descendant of Amaterasu...", she shouts.

Okami stared at Maka, shocked as well as the wolves down below. The last descendant of Amatserasu... he has fallen for. He stepped up, as he felt it was his turn to speak, his turn to shock the the Packs even more. "And not only of storms, but of demons and shadows! If we don't do something, all the wolves of both Packs will be dead, and even possibly the whole world!" He warned. He glanced at Maka; could they really do this? And, could they really be together also? Wouldn't it distract Maka too much if they were together? He let out a faint whimper. He was just as frightened as everyone else was.

Maka watched as both pack members ears pinned down, their tails tucked in a bit, and both Alpha's turned to look at each other. Alpha Ruko made his way to the front of the crowd and stared at Maka, his mouth gaping a bit. "It's not true Maka...tell me it's not true!?", he howls. He looks devastated, and his eyes filled with worry. She hung her head and sighed, lifting her eyes only to her Alpha. "Ruko... it is. Amaterasu would not have shown up had this not been a sign of the chaos and destruction to come. She came to warn us", she barked back. Ruko looked at her, his eyes hard and gathering with rage. "Prove to us you are Amaterasu's descendant! Maka, not once have I doubted you but how do we know you are not trying to cover up your love affair!?", he growls. Maka gasps, looking back at Okami who's whimpering had caught her ear. "Okami...please forgive me", she whispers. Her fur begins to change into a snowy white color. Her paws fill with fire as well as her tail. Her ears turn a solid black and three black dots appear under each eye. Two sun symbols appear on her front paws, and as Maka opens her eyes, the sun begins to break through the dark clouds shining down on her pelt, making it glisten and sparkle. "Now do you see Ruko...", she questions. Proud of her ancestry, she holds her head high.

The light almost blinded Okami. He closed his eyes. How could he interfere with Maka's destiny? He bowed his head. How was he and Maka suppose to do this! Why would Tsukuyomi warn him anyway, and not his Pack Healer or Pack leader? They were the ones with the dreams from the gods! Why would they warn Okami? He shook his fur trembling, but he tried to appear strong. He looked to the Packs, "Tsukiyomi warned me that two shall become one. I have a feeling she's talking about the Packs. We need to work together to stop this!" he called out. There were howls and barks of protest from both Packs. Why didn't they want to work together? They need to stop this evil!

Maka turned her back to both packs. "You have no sense of accomplishment. Look what you have accomplished! Dead wolves from both packs. Is this what you want to accomplish!? DEATH!?", she barked. Her voice seemed to echo throughout the trees of the forest, bouncing off of everywhere. "I don't know about the rest of you, but I for one am willing to risk my life, for the sake of the wolf I love...even though he is not of my pack!", she turned and growled. "You wolves have too much pride! I for one will not be part of a pack that will not fight for the safety of other's... much less their own!", she turned her back on them for good and walked up to Okami. "I love you, but I have to save you, and your pack", she whined. She could see the fear in his eyes. "If they can't save themselves then we must save each other. You've already saved me...", she whimpered. Tears welled up in her eyes, and she licked his muzzle softly and gently. "Now it's my turn to save you, love". She left his side and jolted off into the direction of the storm. Her tears fell behind her, and in the place of them on the ground grew a small bright red poppy.

Okami bounded off after Maka. "Wait, Okami!" Okami turned around and saw Nibui running towards him, his red pelt flying in the harsh breeze of the storm. "I wish to join you and Maka. I don't want to see my Pack to die. I am not that kind of wolf. I am silent, I am strong, but I am no cold-blooded murderer." Okami grinned at his Pack mate. "Good choice, good choice. I'm glad to have you aboard, Nibui. Now, let's run after Maka!"
(im going to make Nibui's form. o3o I feel attached a bit to this wolf)

Maka's tears finally stopped. She knew Okami would follow her and the poppies would only lead a trail to where she would be. She made a sharp turn and sniffed out the storm. She bent her head to the ground and sniffed while running and finally turned sharply again to head North. She looked forward as the trees she ran by began to shake more. She growled and knew she was approaching the storm faster than she had expected. Okami was all she could think about, but she knew she had to clear her head for this fight. She closed her eyes and could feel the earth under her paws. While she cleared her head the vibrations of the Earth led her in the right direction. Her sense of smell sharpened dramatically and her hearing increased. |

Okami followed the trail of poppies. He made sure that Nibui was keeping up with him steadily, but honestly he shouldn't worry. Nibui was a strong wolf and was one of the Pack's best fighters. Okami then caught scent of Maka, and rushed to go meet her. He didn't like how the storm was brewing up. He was afraid that demons might rain down on them any minute and harm his love. He scampered up next to her. "Anything yet, other than the storm?" he asked. Nibui padded up to the other side of Maka.

"You moonpack boys stink", she smiled. "Nothing much other than this wicked wind", she winced looking up at the clouds and the trees still shaking dangerously. She looked to her left. "Nibui...", she smiled. "Good to have you onboard you overgrown fleabag", she joked. She nudged him a little and smiled at him. Maka then turned to Okami and grinned. "You sure you don't want to back down? You can turn back whenever you'd like", she joked. When Maka was nervous she joked a lot. She didn't want to discourage anyone so she made fun and picked around. Maka noticed the glimmer in both the wolve's eyes. She closed her eyes and opened them once more. A fire had started in her eyes and she smiled, continuing to run on alongside her two favorite wolves. |

"Why would I do that?" Okami licked Maka's cheek. He got the eye of Nibui, and narrowed his own. "What's up, Nibui?" he asked. Nibui shook his head and muttered something that Okami couldn't hear. Okami eyed him, then slowly turned his head away. "Let's get this over with. If all hell breaks lose, well... We'll probably do no better in fixing it but at least we'll try to let the glue hold!" he growled. Nibui nodded in a agreement.

Maka shed one last tear. "Mom...i'll do your honor good", she thought to herself as she looked up to the sky and the light finally broke through a shone down onto the field they approached. Maka broke through the tree line and immediately stopped in her tracks. There she was... Amaterasu. "Mom...", she whispered. Maka stepped forward once and tears fell into the ground. She closed her eyes and sprinted towards her. "Mama!!", she cried. Tears poured from her eyes as she approached her mother. She stopped as she neared her mother, her jaw gaping a bit with shock. She slowly stepped forward once more and was thrown backwards into the tree line. A barrier electricuted her and sent her back yelping in pain. Maka quickly stood up her hair standing on end and her fangs bared viciously. "That's not Amaterasu...", she snarled. Amaterasu's figure changed and a human like figure appeared. "I see you haven't changed a bit... Maka", the figure snarled back.

Okami and Nibui raced to Maka's side. Okami growled quite loudly, "And who the hell are you?" he asked, eyes narrowed. His muscles tensed and the white markings on his black fur seemed to glow. Nibui stepped protectively beside Maka, also growling at the figure. "Demon?" he guessed, bunching his shoulders and baring his teeth.

Maka shook off the pain and growled loudly her hair standing up on end. "Maka how beautiful you've grown. Such a shame you have to die...", The humanish figure snarled. He finally showed his face and Maka's facial ex
pression immediately turned vicious. Her jowls scrunched up and her growl grew more deep throated. It rumbled the ground under her paws and shook her whole body. The human stepped out from his barrier and smiled at Maka, his shape transforming into a wolf. His body was a dark blackish brown and his eyes were as red as blood. "I've come to take you back Maka", the lowly wolf rumbled. He grinned devilishly at her and moved closer. "You wouldn't leave your mate all alone now would you? After all we still need to repopulate our pack...", he growled. Maka pinned her ears back in rememberance. She stepped forward towards him, but stomped her paw to the ground. "We're done Adoth....", she snarled, baring her fangs to him more. "You treated me that way for too long... and i'll be damned if I allow it to happen anymore!", she growled and charged towards him. She disappeared and appeared next to him, biting him on his neck fiercely. She wouldn't let go of the wolf's neck but applied more pressure until she could hear the cracking of bones. Adoth whined a bit but kicked her off and sent her flying back towards Okami & Nibui. She landed on all four paws with blood dripping down her muzzle.

Okami growled and charged at Adoth. His markings on his fur was glowing brightly now. He howled as he thrown himself against the other wolf, raking his claws down Adoph's muzzle. His eyes were blazing with furry, and had a fiery, unforgiving glint to them. He could see the blood ooze from Adoth's muzzle, and a sudden urge ran through him. A urge to bring nothing but blood lust, making this wolf fall to the ground by his own claws. He felt powerful, almighty, like he could cover the whole world with just one paw. No one hurts Maka like that... no one... not ever.
Nibui narrowed his eyes and growled. His eyes flashed yellow again, and a large blast of psychic power shot from his head and hit the opposing wolf in the side. He heard the satisfying snap of a rib. He flicked his tail, baring his teeth even more and taking a step closer. He looked back over his shoulder at Maka, "You alright?" he asked.

Maka stumbled but looked up at Nibui. A glint in his eye caught her's and she blushed a bit. "I'm fine Nibui...", she whispered. She ran off towards Adoth and caught his attention and almost caught his claws but disappeared just in time and tackled him in the side. She fell on top of him and he grabbed her by the nape of the neck, slinging her to one side. "Just like old times huh Maka", he yelled. He smiled and started towards her before he caught Okami's claws. He yelped and turned his head back towards Okami, advancing toward Okami now when suddenly he catches a punch in the side. Adoth is thrown sideways and whimpers as he hears his own ribs break. He tumbles and flips over until his sliding stops. He slips trying to get up and whines. "Maka..please enough", he cries out. Maka stops in her tracks as she advances towards him. She looks at his eyes and her ears pin down to her head. She whines and cries, lowering her body a bit. She closes her eyes and disappears, suddenly appearing next to him.

Okami stared in surprise. "Maka, what are you doing?" he growled. Okami and Nibui wouldn't lose the fight this easily. Nibui sent out another psychic blast, hitting Adoph in the ribs again, probably damaging his ribs more. Okami raked his claws down Adoph's muzzle and side again, biting his neck and shaking his head back in forth. He threw Adoph against a tree and snarled loudly. His eyes radiated a bright, red color, and a holographic hand appeared, much like Nibui's. It squeezed Adoph, choking him. Okami was using telekinesis. "No one... hurts.. .Maka...." Okami muttered in anger.

Adoth fell down the tree and spit up a lot of blood. Maka appeared in front of him and he looked up. "you...you really are beautiful ...Maka", he coughed. His head fell to the ground. His breathing was rough and he coughed up more blood. Maka looked down at him and snarled. "You don't deserve anything but death", she growled. She bit down fiercely on his neck and snapped it in two. Maka slowly let go of his neck and watched him die. Her head hung low, looking at his dead and limp body. The clouds in the sky cleared up and her body turned back to normal. The sky turned gray and it began to rain. Everything was back to normal...but why did Maka feel this way? She lifted her head up to the sky and let out a victorious, but sad sounding howl. |
