Ambrosia sat on the bottom of the blue lake near the Maxim base camp, relaxing and eating the occasional big fish that swam past. Caitlyn had been with her until a few minutes ago, where she had left to try and find any other survivors. Ambrosia has laughed when she said this; Didn't Caitlyn know that she would just eat them like the rest of Maxim? Caitlyn, however, had told her mother that if she ate any more survivors she brought home, she would go off on her own and merge into another clan. And that was something Ambrosia couldn't stand, so she agreed, much to her annoyance.
Caitlyn wandered around the forest, working her way nearer to the city border. When she got there, she scoured the place for anyone without a clan.
Arabella followed Daphne around the small campsite they had made for Attal. "Bells, could you go Frost? He still needs to reach his daily quota of gatherings? And if he hasn't started, could you tell him to prioritise collecting firewood? We've only got a little bit left." Daphne asked, trying to acclimatise to her role as clan leader. Arabella nodded, and skipped away. She ventured a few metres outside the border of the site and saw Frost with his notebook. "Hello Frost!" she greeted cheerily.
Daphne sat down on an overturned bin they used as a chair, and let out a breath. The virus had affected her greatly. Not because she had lost anyone, thank goodness, but because it was all so... different. Daphne was awful at adapting to change, but she knew she had to keep it together and appear strong to the rest of Attal, some of who had lost their family and friends.
Ridge popped a few wild strawberries in his mouth from his basket, before heading back to the campsite. This should be enough for one day, he thought to himself. He hopped over a fallen tree and looked behind him. "C'mon Bucky!" he called. Bucky barked and ran towards him. He had been watching some squirrels very intently, and hadn't even noticed Ridge leave.
Madison sat at the top of a tree, watching all those below her go about their business. She smiled to herself. No one will ever find her up here, she thought. She tried to run a hand through her hair, to free up the knots that came with never brushing it, but couldn't even budge the thick tangles.

Silas approached Kat silently and stood next to her, surveying the horizon.
Cadiak sat poking the remains of the campfire with the metal staff he carried. He constantly sighed dissapointedly until he found a small spark, then got depressed when it went out.
Whether we wanted it or not, we\'ve stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let\'s get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta\'aurc. From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He\'s well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

Daphne approached Cadiak from behind quietly. "Don't be discouraged. It takes a while to learn how to make a decent fire, and even longer to know how to make it last." she said, "Cadiak, isn't it?"

Cadiak didn't respond. He just sighed some more as another ember died.

From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He\'s well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

"All right then, Mr Mopey, ignore me, but don't expect a fire-making lesson any time soon." Daphne said, and picked up the basket of clothes she had come to retrieve. She was very well used to some of the people of Attal acting this withdrawn, mainly because they had recently lost someone they loved to the virus, but she wasn't aware of this being the case with Cadiak. Still, she didn't want to poke around in places she wasn't invited.

"Mmkay." Arabella said, "See ya, Frost!" She turned on the spot and walked back to the camp. She sat down and began making a daisy chain.
A few seconds after Arabella had left, Bucky came barrelling towards Frost, and knocked him over, licking his face enthusiastically. Ridge followed just moments after Bucky, stammering apologies and spilling a few strawberries. |

Raeyura and Navion had been hiding in the mountains since the virus threatened the Earth's population, and, thankfully, were out of harm's way. They are now venturing down to the main city to assess the damage. Raeyura sniffed the air, her ears tucked down against her head nervously. "There's humans ahead," she hissed, "Should we approach them or go around?" "I say we keep out of their sight until we see that they aren't hostile." Navion suggested. Raeyura nodded and crept through the thick bush. Under a tree, about ten metres from them, were two women talking. Raeyura looked at Navion, who nodded, and she emerged from the trees she had concealed herself in. Navion followed, and cleared his throat, to get their attention.
