I don't need the bio. Really just needed his age. xD Want to start now or when you get your computer back because I already know Jethro, like you said. xD Name | Irissa Rosen Nickname(s) |Iris, Isis, or Ice Age | 21 Gender |Female Species | Human Looks | Irissa has straight black hair where she's put teal streaks in her hair. The streaks aren't prominent, but you can tell they're there. Her face is extremely angular with a slightly upturned nose and almost pointed ears. Most would describe her as delicate looking, but her dark green eyes that border on being a mossy gray carry a piercing look. As for her body, Iris stands at about 5'5'' and the muscle on her legs and arms are less noticable, but you can tell she's fit. Personality |Irissa is the type of person that is either liked or disliked upon first impression. Some see her sarcastic, sharp tongue as intensely irritating and others see it as a turn-on or as someone who is just plain fun to be around. Irissa loves to toy with other people and her humor tends to get a bit out of hand. Thus saying, she can make quite a few enemies with a mouthful of words. Along with her wit, Irissa is perfectly capable of physically taking care of herself. History | New. o3o Look Reference | New o3o

Ooc; Was forced over to a friend's house so I'll post now and don't worry about it. Sorry you got your ipod taken away. :c Bic; Irissa hadn't thought her life could have changed in such drastic ways; more than an hour ago, she'd been sitting on a luxurious cruise ship drinking a margarita. But she wasn't going to panic because panic led to the end of survival. No, she was going to be smart about this. Instead of wallowing in self pity at the turn of events, Iris snapped off a hair band from her wrist and tied her hair up in a high pony tail. A few of the shorter raven locks reached to touch her face, just barely brushing against her cheek. She set her mossy green eyes out onto the beach before pushing herself up, black ballet flats a bit unstable in the sand. She slipped them off and let her toes dig through the sand as she scouted the beach. Her stomach squeezed just a bit as she passed a few unmoving bodies, and she couldn't bring herself to check their pulses. With a deflated sigh, she dubbed herself the last survivor and headed back to the shore. She could just make out the wrecked cruise ship off a mile back; she'd walked the distance. The dangerous waves crashed against the rocks where the ship had wrecked and Irissa felt lightheaded as she remembered sliding off of the side and plunging into the water. "Damn," she said to herself.

Who knew things changed in a bl ink of an eye. One minute he was planning on getting drunk, and putting the bill on his ex-girlfriend's husbands tab. The kid was such a light weight he would never even remember. The papers had come through and he lost, he didn't get custody and visitation right were only on the weekends, and knowing the idiot who was at the time laying drunk on the counter, would find a way to keep the kids busy so Jethro could never see them.
So Jethro had ordered several bottles of beer, a bottle of vodka and the most expensive wine just for the hell of it. He was just gonna have fun on a cruise ship. Hang by the pool, do some rock climbing, perhaps find his next ex-girlfriend. And now he was hunched over, coughing up water into the sand.
Once his lungs were clear he sat himself down on his butt and scanned the area with his blue eyes. "Jesus Christ." he breathed as he was debris and bodies strewn across the sand. It was nothing knew to him, he was a cop, but it was still shocking. Just water logged bodies everywhere, they really ruined the look of the beach. As his looked something glinting in the sand caught his attention. "The hell is that?" he muttered to himself as he tried to stand up, dusting loose sand from his dark blue jeans as he walked towards it. He smiled, revealing deep dimples in his cheek, as he realized what he was looking at. He grinned as he held the bottle or whiskey to his face. "Things must be looking up." He said, though he didn't feel any happier as his opened the bottle and took a swig. He welcomed the burn and looked around nudging the nearest body with his foot. He was dead. He didn't even grimace and took another drink. If he was normal, if he wasn't a detective and he didn't see this stuff every day, he might have been rushing around frantically trying to save who he could but he felt tired and maybe he was in shock. He scratched his chest under his white raglan styled shirt before sauntering off toward the shore as he saw stuff floating in the water. Sighing, he pulled off his leather jacket, which thankfully wasn't ruined considering he had paid quite a bit for it, though not that it mattered now that he was a desert island surround by dead bodies. Sitting himself down on the sand he brought to whiskey bottle to his mouth. Pulling up the black sleeves of his shirt he looked over at the sea this was surreal, he just felt like yelling out a the ocean. What the hell was he supposed to do? Glancing over his shoulders at the stuff from the boat he sighed. If anyone else was alive the would find him here. Sitting on his leather jacket in the sand, whiskey bottle in hand.
((Sorry for the late reply. And its a bit of a fail, and I think there may be mistakes that I haven't noticed XP I typed this on my iPod and well you probably know it changes words randomly XP))

The smell of a nearby body was getting to her and no one was walking down the beach. Iris felt her stomach roll and she forced herself to her feet, pushing down the panic that was finally making itself a reality. She decided she liked being in shock better, and repeatedly had to tell herself to stay strong. With a sigh, she forced herself to trudge across the beach, arms crossed against her chest in an attempt to keep her lunch down. Lunch; what did she even have for lunch? After a few moments of thinking, Iris finally brought the image of a shrimp cocktail into her mind. She continued to list off different places she'd been, different foods she'd eaten, to distract her. But she refused to think of family and friends she'd most likely never see again. In the depths of her mind, Iris was oblivious to everything around her and she didn't realize the man--Jethro-- sitting on the beach. Her green eyes did capture his moving and upright form, though, and she paused to scatter her thoughts. She turned back to look at him, eyes disbelieving for a moment. The only thing she managed out was, "Oh, another person." She blinked. Ooc; It's fine and I hate typing on the ipod so I understand. xD;

Jethro stared out at the sea. He knew there were other things that may possibly aid his survival scattered along the island but he didn't see the use. He was probably gonna die on this island, it was probably on of those freak accident where only one person survives and the other die unless treated properly. And clearly there was no hospital and he doubted his cell phone would get bars. If it wasn't too damaged.
He felt the pocket of his jeans and pulled the iPhone out. He shook it and saw some water fall out before he tried to turned it on and saw the smiling little girl on his lock screen. He shook the thing some more and tried the touch screen; which didn't work. A string of curse words left his mouth as he slid the thing back into his sodden jeans and brought the whiskey bottle back up to his mouth. He was mid swing when he noticed as shadow pass his feet. He looked up to see a dazed girl walk on past him. He raised an eyebrow and was about the open his mouth when the turned around.
He kept his eyes trained on the girl as she looked at him before finally saying "Oh, another person."
Way to state the obvious, he thought smiling slightly. He looked at her and nodded. Jethro raised the whiskey bottle and said; "I'll drink to that." And with that he brought to bottle to his mouth.
Once be had taken a gulp, he realized he must have looked like a drunk. He sighed and looked back at the girl. "You got a name Cupcake?" He asked as he looked at her trying to lighten things up, though he was sure it was a fail. "I'm guessing your not a doctor?"
((Once again there may be typos and random words. Also just wondering will this be a normal deserted island? Or like in those movies where it's not really deserted but inhabited by natives and other magical things XP))

Ooc; lol, I don't think magical things would fit this rp. xD Just a normal deserted island, I guess. Bic; Once she got over her shock at seeing another live human being, she took in the man's appearance. Well, her eyes particularly focused on the whiskey bottle in his hand, and the first thing that popped into her mind was "He may be the only other survivor and I'm stuck with a moronic drunk?" His words made the grim line of her mouth dip down into a frown, and her eyes narrowed. "Yeah, and it sure as hell ain't cupcake," she responded tartly. She crossed her arms over her chest and took a good, long look at the man holding the whiskey before speaking again. "I don't see anything wrong with you, except for the fact that you're drinking instead of keeping your head clear on a deserted island. That's about as professional I get," she responded. "And it's Iris. Yours?"

((Well I was just wondering. I was thinking how horrible it would probably be with the two of them, it'd probably be easier if there were crazy island natives XD))
Good lord, I must be stuck with the sassiest girl on the entire boat. Jethro though to himself as he sipped at his alcohol. He could already tell he and this girl were not going to get along.
"I don't see anything wrong with you, except for the fact that you're drinking instead of keeping your head clear on a deserted island. That's about as professional I get,"
As the woman, Iris, had said that Jethro lowered the bottle for a moment, before he brought it right back to his mouth. Hell what did he care what she thought, he was sure someone else would wake up, eventually.
"Well Cupcake, for starters I'm a man, if it wasn't obvious." he said as he scratched his chest. "And men deal with things different. I happen to be one of the many who drink when times get rough." He shook the bottle for effect. "Though you don't have to worry I don't get drunk."
He figured that probably wasn't the best way to introduce himself, but she wasnt exactly the friendliest either. So he stood up so he was at eye level with the girl, well really he was standing up and looking down at her seeing as she was shorter than him. He theb mock
bowed and stated his name, "Detective Jethro Reagan at your service." before sticking out his bottle free hand for her to shake, if she wanted too. He also knew the detective part wasn't need but it was a force of habit. He had just grown so used to it he always introduced himself as such.

Ooc; Backbreaking survival isn't enough? LOL I like stressing my characters out. Bic; "Good, because I'm not one to babysit some drunken idiot," she said and glanced down as lukewarm water swirled around her bare feet. She stepped back from the water, mentally taking in the sun's direction and attempting to remember where it had been before. Of course the tide was rising, but she'd like to know when and how fast. She rolled her eyes as he bowed slightly to her, and she hesitated when she looked down at the hand he offered. If he was the only survivor--which she hoped he wasn't--she might as well attempt to make some form of acquaintance with him. With a sigh, she slapped her palm into his and shook it. "Well, Jethro, you can sit here on the beach and get swallowed by the incoming tide, or you could help me get some sticks." With that, she turned from him and strutted off toward the lush rainforest that bordered the beach line. She paused and turned so her chin was resting on her shoulder to look at him. "And it's Iris. Not Cupcake. Iris."

((Oh I noticed, I saw what you did to poor Maks XD))
Jethro tried not to cringe at her words. That was harsh, totally uncalled for and the words brought back a rather unpleasant memory. Though he held all that back as shook her hand.
"Well, Jethro, you can sit here on the beach and get swallowed by the incoming tide, or you could help me get some sticks."
Jethro raised and eyebrow slightly and a small grin tugged at the corners of his lips as he watched he strut off towards the forest. She bossy, and knew exactly what she wanted which was sometimes admirable in a girl, but most of the time it wasn't seeing as they were often snobby or rude. He looked over at the incoming tide and knew she was right, but maybe drowning in the tide was not such a bad idea.
"And it's Iris. Not Cupcake. Iris."
He let out a little chuckle as he heard that. He bent down to pick ip his jacket and he stuffed the whiskey bottle into it before rushing after him. Moving as fast as one could in sneakers in the sand. "So Cupcake." he started as he caught up with her, moving a low branch with his hand. "What do you need sticks for?"

Iris growled as he approached with that horrid nickname again, but she pursed her lips as she looked at him from the corner of her eye. "You got any other bright names besides that?" she said with a roll of her eyes and stopped abruptly to pick up a stick that she'd almost tripped over. She tore it from the few gnarled roots of healthy trees that had grown over it before wiping the hair from her eyes and straightening to peer up at Jethro again. "I want to measure the tide and how fast it's going in and out," she said as she eyed another stick. She trudged over to that one, frowning when she stepped on a thorn, and bent to pick it up. She looked at the man again and gave him a wry smile. "You going to stand there all day or let the lady do all the work?"

"You got any other bright names besides that?"
Jethro grinned at that. "Oh yeah Hon, tons." He replied as he moves branches out of that way, she was so lucky she was shorter than him. "Although most of them are in use and you just seem like a Cupcake."
He nearly walked into her as she stopped abruptly to pick up a giant stick. "I want to measure the tide and how fast it's going in and out," She said before walking away. "Well as long as you know what you're doing." he said as he watched her step on something that caused her to flinch. He honestly had no idea how sticks would help with that but she seemed to know what she was doing. Her voice drew him out of his thoughts as she asked if he was going to let her do all the work.
He grinned and shook his head as he pulled on his jacket. "Well you were doing such a great job." he joked as he walked towards the stick she was going for. He moved some dead brush out of the way before placing both hands on the stick and pulling. It came out relatively easier than he expected. "So Honey, how exactly will this measure the tide?" He asked as be walked over to her hold the stick out to her.
((Hey Shad, hate to be annoying but what's the islands layout like? Is it like a hell hole, like the place Satan would visit for vacation? Or is it like really lush the further you go in. With like mango trees and water falls and such. I just kinda want to know for future references XP))

Ooc; Not annoying at all. I was figuring because no one's been living there, the whole place is probably overgrown and plenty of wildlife and such has had time to really make the place spark. Paradise would sound like a good option, but maybe it could take the two a while to notice it. Oh and poisonous, dangerous plants are a must. And since it's like a jungle or something, maybe there should be some type of wildcat there. :o Or if you want Satan's crib, that's fine, too. |D Bic; She arched her brows at Jethro as he made the comment on her 'knowing what she was doing.' With a sigh, she bundled up the sticks she had managed to collect in one arm and shifted her weight onto that same hip, green eyes light to match a few of the fronds around them. "I think my survival skills are limited to common sense and whatever I've seen on tv," she said. They hadn't come very far into the forest; she could still see the break of the sand among the treeline. She could hear the waves, too, and she headed toward the sound, walking on the toes of her right foot because of the thorn that had wedged itself into the sole of her foot. "You'll see," she said as she continued. She broke out onto the sand and immediately stuck one of the sticks into the sand so it stood upright. She measured about a meter down from that one, and stuck another stick in the ground. Then another, and another. Finally, she turned to Jethro and outstretched one hand, fingers curling as she beckoned him to give her a stick. She looked back down at the water which was still more than a few paces away, and glanced back up at the sun.

((Nope your island is just fine. More opportunities for romance there XD))
Jethro nodded as he heard her talk about how she saw this on tv. Now Jethro himself wasn't one for tv, sure he had one. But he was normally too tired to watch and if he did watch it was normally something on A&E, 48 Hours, Criminal Minds that stuff. His tv watching also consisted of a lot of children's tv shows like the one about weird colourful creatures and a talking gay rat.
His attention turned back to the woman as they continued to pick up stick. He was curious to see how this would work out. He followed her back down to the shore line, although they weren't that far to begin with. He watched as she stuck the sticks into the ground wondering what they didn't show him this stuff when he was in Iraq, but then again there wasn't a tide there. He played with the dog tags around his neck as he thought about what it was like there. In a strange way he found it fun, being there away from everything he knew. Now looking back staying was a horrible decision. He looked back up at the girl and he handed her the last stick. "So how will this work exactly? Is the tide gonna come in and knock the sticks over?"
((Sorry I honestly have no survival skills whatsoever. One a deserted island I'm about as useful as a microwave XP))

Iris scratched the back of her head as she surveyed her work. She wiped the palms of her hands on her still slightly damp jeans and her nose twitched slightly as she looked at Jethro again. "I don't care if the sticks get knocked over. I'm going to see how long it takes the tide to rise about a yard, and see where it stops so we can possibly set up a shelter." She eyed him again, brows arched slightly. "So now we sit and wait," she said as she placed a hand over her eyes so she could crane her neck back to look up at the sun. She blinked to rid a few sunspots from her eyes and walked back down to the last stick on the beach, closest to the forest. She hoped the tide didn't reach the forest itself; she really didn't want to have to leave the openness of the beach. After she sat down, she looked up at Jethro. At least he'd stopped drinking for now. "So...Jethro. You said you were a detective?" she asked, not really wanting to bring up the ship or his family, or friends, or...life. Job seemed like a harmless enough thing.

"Oh well that works too." Jethro muttered as the woman explained. And incredibly boring. He added to himself as squinted as he looked at the sticks. He felt Iris move away from him and he turned to watch her head up to the last stick and sit.
"So...Jethro. You said you were a detective?"
He grinned slightly at that and nodded. "Yes ma'am." he said as he walked towards her. "Haven't been a detective long though I was in the army over in Iraq for five years." he said as he sat himself. He was sure she didn't need that much information but it came tumbling out of his mouth anyway. Once he sat he was afraid something else would work it's way out of his lips so he tried to change he subject and put it on her. "So, what do you do? Have a job yet?" he added the yet seeing as the woman was probably younger than him, and finding jobs could be hard in your early twenties. Or so he assumed, he didn't have much experience there, the force accepted anyone and everyone as long as they were trained properly, and hey always took war vets.
