"Yeah, well, no one usually does," Blaise murmured, he dropped some porcupine quills into the cauldron and added a bit of water. "She was older than us, a lot older. When Pansy and I were nine, she had just gotten married. She was sixteen, and her parents pulled her out of Hogwarts at Voldemort's wishes. She had married a pureblood, Rabastan Lestrange. Ever heard of him?"

Aria nodded, she'd heard that first name and surname a few times before. She grabbed a ladle and started to stir the handful of ingredients, while repeating what Blaise had just spoke in her head, looking for any small hints or clues of some sort. She was taken aback when she thought hard of the part where Pansy's older sibling was married at the age of sixteen and to be taken out of school because of Voldemort. "Was it solely a 'blood purity' marriage?" she asked quietly, dropping in some petals of a Red Ash.

"Not...exactly," Blaise said, uneasily. "It was the main reason, yes. What they told everyone was that the Parkinsons had wanted Pansy's older sister - whose name was Arla, by the way - to marry a wealthy, Pureblood family to continue the bloodline. What they kept secret was that Rabastan and Arla were supposed to have a child that Voldemort would later on use in a Dark Magic ritual. Dead."

A unpleasant look crossed her face. "What?! That's absurd!" she suddenly said, to use a small infant in a Dark Magic ritual was disgusting. "W-what happened next?" Aria asked, gaining herself calm again.

((LOLOL, I have such an evil mind.))
Blaise looked sick by this point. "She had the child, but she was forced into it. She had wanted her own family, and she wasn't willing to have a child only to have it killed. Rabastan forced her to have it, and then he was to kill it. However, Arla tried to intervene. She threw him off the child, tried to kill him, and then...suddenly she was jumping out of the highest room from the tallest tower. Like in the fairytales, but with a gruesome end."
He winced, and looked away from her, tears forming in his eyes. It was so very painful to talk about this... "I was there, you know. My mother was supposed to take the child once Rabastan had killed it, take it to Voldemort, and she took me along to toughen me up. It didn't work so well in the end."

||Oh my. ;_;.||
Aria was speechless. She felt so hurt and sad, how could he, the father, kill his own child? even though it did cost his life. She also felt severely sad for Pansy, losing an older sister she probably looked up to and loved so very much. She stopped stirring and placed the ladle back onto the table, she just couldn't bear to do anything now that she was so emotional. Aria felt so upset.

"And you're probably wondering what this has to do with you." Blaise looked at her, forcing himself to continue. "Care to take a guess?"

Aria shook her head. Honestly she was clueless and afraid at the same time. What could this all possibly mean?

"The way that Lestrange forced Arla..." Blaise prodded. "The way he forced her to have the child with him, the reason she jumped from the tower in the middle of trying to save her child..."

Aria still didn't get it. Though after a few minutes of hard thinking the light bulb clicked on. She shook her head, denying the fact. "S-s-she had it too didn't she? that's the reason it was all successful until it just couldn't work.. isn't it?" she said nothing more, still trying to deny the truth. Aria felt so sick in the moment.

Blaise only nodded. He pushed some Valerian Root into the potion, turned off the heat and let it cool down. Taking off the Muffliato, he saw Pansy and Draco stirring a perfect potion, Pansy sending him a glance every five seconds. "Arla wasn't really loyal to Voldemort," Blaise mumbled under his breath, hoping Aria would hear. "And she told Pansy not to follow him either, if she wanted a good life. Voldemort doesn't trust the Parkinsons after the stunt with Arla, but openly admitting that she isn't loyal to him could forfeit Pansy's life. Or..." He sent her a pointed look. "Or, if her disloyalty gets out, it could end the same way."

'Oh my gosh...' Aria thought, sending a slightly worried look at Pansy. She turned back at the cauldron and sighed. She stood up from her stool and glanced into the mixture. "I don't think our Potion is turning out too great.." she pointed out, changing topics. Aria tossed in half a cup of powdered Moonstone and afterwards began to stir the brew with the ladle again.

"Me neither," Blaise shrugged, "but ol' Sluggy won't mind." He threw in some more random stuff, successfully giving it the consistency of cement. His eyes widened. "Oops. Think we should get some help."

Aria smiled and shook her head at Blaise. She tutted at him jokingly, "Oh, Blaise.. I think we should get some help," she giggled and read over the instructions again.

Blaise nodded, smirking slightly, and made his way to Slughorn. On the way, he felt his robe's sleeve get grabbed, and turned to see Pansy staring at him suspiciously.
"Blaise," she said softly, looking around nervously, "what were you talking about to Aria? It was something private, wasn't it?"
Blaise's eyes widened, like a dear caught in headlights. "Uh, what gave you that impression?"
"Maybe," Draco broke in, "it was the fact that you put a Muffliato up, and that though we could see you two clearly talking about something serious, all we could hear was buzzing."
"You told her, didn't you?" Pansy said in the same soft voice, looking down and ignoring Draco. Blaise's cheeks flamed, and he looked away, feeling ashamed.
"I'm sorry, Pans, but she needed to know why you wanted to help her, and-"
"It's ok," Pansy said quickly, looking up. Blaise could clearly see the pain etched into the green irises. "I was going to tell her anyway. Just...don't tell her about the other thing that happened, okay?"
Blaise shook his head emphatically. He would never, ever tell a soul about that. Ever. He exchanged a look with Draco.
"Okay." Pansy relaxed and let go of his robe. "Go get Slughorn now." She pointed to his potion. "It's smoking."
"Oh, er..." Blaise panicked slightly, seeing the potion look as if it was ready to explode any minute. He didn't need to get Slughorn, though, because the teacher had already spotted it, his eyes wide open in alarm, and he was pushing Aria aside, trying to get to it. "Oops."

"We were er-- doing fine before it started to turn thick and it just started to bubble up violently and smoke," Aria lied, trying to explain that it just happened. It seemed that her excuse wasn't as convincing as she hoped it would be, because Professor Slughorn shook his head with a dissatisfied look.
"I'll have to deduct House points for your fooling around with ingredients Mr.Zabini and Miss Blest, --was it? ah, Five points from Slytherin. Now get to your next classes, we will continue the brewing next time. C'mon. Off you go!" the stout man instructed, waving his wand over the potion, making it disperse into thin air.
The Gryffindor and Slytherin students started making their way out of the dimly-lit classroom. Slughorn turned to Aria and Blaise. "You'll have to start over again I'm afraid. And you'll be behind the rest of us, so I suggest both of you read over the instructions and ingredients carefully," he gestured both of them to the door and started walking back to his desk.
Aria sighed and nodded. She took her pile of books and headed way for the door. Though she stopped in front of it and thanked Professor Slughorn for clearing up the Potion. She climbed up the dungeon steps and looked both ways of the corridor. Students were walking hurriedly left and right to their next classroom.
"Hey Aria!" A familiar voice said, it was Travis.
Aria walked up to him and they started walking up to the Charms classroom while Travis told Aria about what just happened to his fellow Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff students in Herbology. "It was such a ruckus," he started.

Slughorn called off the rest of the class, and Blaise didn't even bother to move from where he was standing - next to Pansy's and Draco's desk.
"Oops," he muttered again, before saying more loudly, "what do we have next?"
"Free," Pansy and Draco said at the same time, and they grinned at each other. Blaise shook his head, also smiling.
"What do you guys want to do then? Pansy's choice."
Draco looked like he wanted to argue, but Blaise stepped on his foot, and, muttering a string of profanity, he settled for just glaring.
"Um," Pansy pondered, pretending she hadn't seen the little exchange between Blaise and Draco, "RoR?"
"Sure," Blaise nodded, "if Potter, Weasley and mudblood Granger aren't there."

"You know, You'd make an excellent Ravenclaw. You seem so intelligent and clever, and rather logical, I think it's pretty far fetch'd that you got sorted into the house that everyone thinks is an awful, abominable-- I mean the house that every other house is against, You seem nothing of Slytherin traits," Travis told Aria, as they continued walking down a different corridor.
Aria lightly shrugged her shoulders and took a glance at him. "The Sorting Hat did almost sort me into Ravenclaw you know. It took almost five whole minutes before it sorted me into the 'awful, abominable' house that every house loathes. I dunno, you never know Travis.. as they say-- "things aren't always what they seem" --I've only known you for hardly a day, vice versa," Aria shot him a cunning smile and he blushed.
"You-- you know I didn't mean that . It's just that everyone thinks that the Slytherin students are.. well.. bitter-- b-but not you! of course not you. They kind of have the reputation of being 'dark' and 'bad, evil'.. you know, stuff like that. And that really speaks truth for that blond git. He's sucha pain in the arse. He hates all Muggle-born's just because they have Muggle blood, he's so picky and wants this and that, he relies on his father for like everything and he's a darn coward for Merlin's sake. He looks all tough and all that regal stuff but, actually he's a sensitive little girl trapped in a boy's body. He and his family are a disgrace to the name Wizard. Honestly," Travis said, shaking his head in disgust.
Aria's eyebrows furrowed. "Draco Malfoy? He's not that belligerent.. He's actually kind of nice.. and maybe a tad bit generous.. but-- er-- anyways, yeah, he can be a pain in the arse sometimes.. he just acts like a stupid git sometimes.. that's all.." she said, her voice trailing off, getting quieter every time she spoke. She looked away from Travis, her cheeks becoming scarlet.
It sounded as if Travis had just temporarily choked. "What?! You think the git's nice? I mean.. like.. I think you'd regret what you just said if you were here since First Year. It's just in my opinion and many other's s'all. That's what we think of him and his little gang," he explained.
"But--" Aria started off.
"--And didn't he call you a Mudblood several times now? Just because your mother's a Muggle-born... See what I mean? by the way, I heard about the slap.. it does him well," he interrupted.
"It was an accident.. and-- well.. name calling doesn't really matter.. I just know that he's different in some sort of way, big or small.. a total opposite of what he acts like.. I dunno.. it's just some feeling I get when I'm around him but. well.. never mind on that.. c'mon.. we're almost late for Flitwick's class," she said, speeding up her pace.
In a matter of seconds, they had reached the Charms classroom.

"So..." There had been an awkward silence in the Room of Requirement for a total of five minutes. Draco had gotten himself a huge bed that looked incredibly soft, and he lay in the middle of it, staring at the ceiling. He had watched as Pansy had asked for a small, plush chair in Slytherin green, and Blaise had opted for a long, leather lounge that he could stretch out on. Currently, they had all been in deep thought, but Draco was uncomfortable with the lack of noise. "Uh...how's life?"
Blaise snorted, and Pansy rolled her eyes. "That's your lame attempt at conversation, Draco? 'How's life?'" She sniggered.
"Well," Draco replied defensively. "You two aren't making any conversation at all, and this silence is hurting my ears."
"Ask for entertainment, then."
"Trust me," Blaise said, "you don't want to see Draco's entertainment."
"Oh really?" Pansy looked amused. "I'm guessing it's the heavy-breathing kind?"
Blaise nodded, and Draco sent him a glare. "Hey, no revealing my middle-of-the-night activities!"
There was silence.
"Oh-kay..."

"Wonderful! Now run along and have your lunch, I'd like you all to write a short essay on Page three hundred, ninety-four. Minimum of at least one sheet of parchment, one side-- maximum of seven sheets, double-sided. Thank-you," Professor Flitwick informed, shoving a cradle of books into a large cardboard box.
Aria said goodbye to Travis and left quickly.
She started to feel very weak and light-headed in Advanced Charms and couldn't seem to concentrate well. Travis had asked her several times if she was okay, judging by the way she looked during the period of time, and she would always reply with a quiet 'no'. She couldn't trust anyone else to know about the snake, after what Draco did she felt she lost trust in everyone else and became very self-cautious about many things.
Next thing she knew was that she had made her way into the same tall room she had been occupying last evening with Draco for a moment. She swiftly made her way to the exact step she sat on and she sighed, closing her eyes and breathing deeply.
She needed to control and refocus her mind again. She wouldn't put up with the consequences again if she slapped someone half-willingly again. Aria felt a small sting over her back but, decided to ignore it.
