Blaise and Draco, both looking equally determined and charming, strode into the Great Hall, Pansy trailing behind them looking very, very amused. They didn't even bother pretending they hadn't heard the admiring sighs coming from the females at the various House tables. "Always have to go for the dramatic entrance, don't you?" Pansy laughed. "Of course," Draco said pompously, "it does good for a person's image." "In looking like a drama queen." Blaise and Draco ignored her. Their eyes scanned the tables, before they spotted Aria, at the same time. "Me first, Blaise," Draco smirked, "I didn't get to talk to her last night." "Go right ahead," Blaise said back, gesturing, "we all know I'll win in the end anyway." "You wish." "Oh, just hurry up," Pansy said, giving Draco a nudged. She was looking forward to watching this competition play out between her two favourite boys. "Easy, easy," Draco said, "don't rumple my clothes." He pulled himself up to his fullest height and strode to Aria. "Hello," he said, smiling handsomely, "you're Aria Blest, right? My friend Blaise introduced himself to you last night."

Aria didn't intend to finish the remains of her breakfast. So, she started to write down when she had free periods on a peice of parchment with her quill. She was so concentrated on writing, she hadn't noticed a boy who started to speak to her, so she missed out on his hello and smile. Only after a few minutes she noticed a figure standing diagonally from her. She fixed down her quill and gave out another one of her small, warm smiles. "Oh, sorry.. I hadn't notice you until now.. and uh, yes, I am." she said, looking up at him. ||Another fail post Dx.||

((Damn. Draco must be embarrassed. Oh well. He'll blush cutely.)) Red tinged Draco's cheeks as he realised that the introduction he had so carefully planned had just failed. Oh well. He'd have to make do with it. He plastered on his smile again and absentmindedly ran a hand through his hair. "That's fine," he assured her. He invited himself to sit beside her and pulled a plate towards him, filling it with eggs, bacon and sausages. "So, how are you liking Hogwarts so far?"

||I have to go soon D;.|| Aria dabbed the quill into some more ink, awaiting for what he would say. She was still smiling, and she had noticed that the boy started blush. "I'm really sorry, kind of having a panic right now." she apologized again. She quickly wrote down a few more words before speaking again, "I guess it's pretty breath-taking. Quite large and amazing atmosphere.. oh, I didn't get your name.. May I ask what it is?" she explained, then asked. ||Boo. Fail post.||

((That's fine. <3)) Draco was now in full charm-and-flirt mode. "Draco Malfoy at your service," he said graciously, and turning awkwardly in his seat but managing with full grace, he lightly took her hand and dragged his lips over her wrist, much like Blaise had done last night. "Blaise told me your parents worked at the Ministry. I'm sure my father has met yours. What was your father's name again?"

Aria smiled at him sweetly. "Oh.. So you're Draco Malfoy.. er- nice to meet you," she said, unsure. Her cheeks flushed a soft pink as she felt the surface of his lips over her wrist, reminding her of last night. "Oh, uh, yes. My father's name is Feleti." she said, glancing into his eyes, which were a cold grey.

“Ah, good old Feleti Blest,” Draco smiled. “I’ve met him before. My father has had many pleasant conversations with him, and I’ve been lucky enough to be included in some of them. Although,” he frowned, “-I’m sure he never mentioned a beautiful daughter.” He ran his eyes over her flushed face, smirking inwardly. This was going much better than he had expected, despite the rocky start.

Aria smiled at the words he said, but for some reason she felt uneasily unsure. "Oh, My father hasn't mentioned anything about your father.. quite odd at a view or prehaps he did mention him a few times.. er- well, yeah.. anyways," she said, feeling clumsy in her words. She started to blush again, looking down at her lap.

There was a slight awkward moment. “Well, anyway,” Draco said to smooth it over, “we better be going to class.” He gestured to Dumbledore, who was dismissing the students to their first classes. “Blaise mentioned you had Divination with us. Would you give me the honour of escorting you there?” He held out his arm, looking the part of the perfect gentleman.

She looked up from her lap to face Draco again. "Oh, yes.. class." she told herself, turning her gaze onto Dumbledore. She cocked her head the other direction and smiled again, her cheeks flushing once again. "Er- yeah, sure." she said, remembering she had a towering pile of books under the table. She bent down to place them beside her, Aria then stood up from her seat and stuffed the parchment and quill into one of the reference books she had. Finally she fitted all of the books in both her hands, she tried to cock her head to either side of the pile and she succeded after many tries. "-though both my hands are quite busy at the moment." she explained, trying to gesture at the many books she was carrying.

"Oh, let me take care of those for you," Draco smiled. "I hadn't realised that all those books could have been yours. You must be brilliant, being able to concentrate on so many books at once without getting horribly bored." He deftly plucked the large stack of books from her, and winced when he felt the sheer weight of them. "You also have a lot of muscles," he groaned. Fumbling for his wand in his pocket, he muttered, "Wingardium Leviosa." The books hovered in front of him, and he flashed Aria a grin. "Now, then. Both our hands are free, and my arm is itching to have yours through mine."

||OMG! just saw HP7 - Pt.2 yesterday! :DD. so epic♥.|| "Thanks," she commented, smiling back at him. "Really? you think so? ..All of the people back at my other school rather thought that reading was a waste of time.. was the most wasteful thing to do.." she sighed and in addition she laughed, "- They're not all mine though if that's what your thinking.. I'm borrowing them from the Professors, thought it was best to learn what you learned last year.. you know.. to catch up I guess". Aria laughed again and a rosy pink pigmented her cheeks. "It's not at all easy." she explained. Aria turned her head to face the books, she seemed to be eyeing one of them intensely. She reached forward and took one of the books out of the pile, it was the reference book she had stuffed her parchment and quill in. She brought out her wand and tapped it, before their eye's, the book shrunk into a small pocketbook, as did the parchment and quill along with it. She crammed the minimized book into her robe pocket. Aria turned to face him again, looking quite troubled. "Er- that book was one of mine,". The troubled look soon washed away from her face. She afterwards smiled warmly at Draco and slid her arm through his. Aria then followed after Draco to the Divination class.

((Yay! I know, it was so good I cried. D: It's the first movie I've watched to make me cry. Snape omg. I watched it on Harry's birthday. ;) )) As they walked to the tower that housed Professor Trelawney, Draco made small talk with Aria, telling her about the people of the school, the Professors, the gossip. Looking back, he saw Blaise and Pansy following at a distance, the former looking sullen. He smirked inwardly. "So of course, we've got one brain of the year," Draco said, sounding slightly sardonic. "Her name's Hermione Granger, and she thinks Divination is trollop. She walked out in third year, can you believe it? She's a Mud- Muggle-born." Dammit. Slip of the tongue. She'd know he was a pureblood maniac and not want to talk to him anymore. He sent a glance her way to figure out her reaction. If she was as much into Pureblood supremacy as he, then it wouldn't be a problem.

||I cried whenever someone good died D;. omggg. one of the moments I cried was when Snape.. :(. & cool! I loved the ending though! :D.|| Aria listened carefully at what Draco had to say, it was rather quite interesting and also a bit helpful what he talked about. She turned to face him to see why he'd looked back, but she didn't herself turn back thinking he was just looking on who was behind them. She smiled at him and afterwards she continued to face forward. But, Suddenly she resorted to looking at him with eagerness. The topic he had brought up came to her attention. Aria nodded. "Wow.. that's quite surpri- wait.." she said, stopping dead in her thought. "Mud.. Muggle-born.." she whispered to herself, and alas the light bulb clicked inside her head. Involuntarly her arm left his and it seemed to stick to her side. "You weren't about to say.. Mudblood were you?" she said to him firmly, she flinched afterwards at that term.. Mudblood. Aria turned her body to fully face him, intensity in her eyes. She stared into Draco's eyes, as if though she was trying to read him. She shook her head. 'It was all true' she thought, it was echoing inside her. "Er- I'm just gonna.. yeah.." she told him, unsureness in her tone. Aria stepped forward and took the hovering books into her hands again. Aria turned back to face him again. The towering books covering her face. "I just er- need to, um, return a few of these books to uh, Professor Flitwick.. I think it is.." she said, her voice sounding the slightest muffled from the pile. She started to slowly walk forward. Aria stopped and twisted half her body so he could see her face. "Uhm.. I, er- apologize.. I've almost forgotten.. He said he wanted them back as soon as possible.. yeah.. so er- I guess I'll see you in Divination.." she said smiling, but her smile soon disappeared. "It was nice meeting you, er-" she looked down at the floor, "Malfoy..". She eventually turned back and started walking to Professor Flitwick's class. "It was all true" she whispered, in a volume that was loud enough to hear. ||You can skippeth to the class, and then she'll just arrive late. LOL.||

Draco stared after her as she hurried away. Dammit. That had ruined any chance he had with her. He had to make it up to her. He knew lies were the best way to patch things up, so he decided he'd apologise and make up some excuse or other when he next saw her. Nonetheless, he was still pissed off. He felt a presence come up behind him, and he snarled, "Leave me alone, Blaise." Blaise chuckled. "Not feeling so confident anymore, Drake?" "Don't tease him, Blaise," Pansy said, joining Draco in his stride. "I'm sure he'll be the one to get her in the end. He's always had better luck with the ladies than you." "Ouch," Blaise replied, feigning hurt, "you wound me." Pansy smiled at his antics. "You know I don't mean it." They laughed, and it made Draco feel ever more sullen. As they climbed the ladder to Trelawney's tower, he accidentally sent a Trip Jinx Blaise's way. Luckily, he was only on the first rung, so his fall wasn't high, but it still hurt. "Bloody hell, Draco," Blaise exclaimed, "no need to be a sore loser!" He grinned devilishly. "I'll share her with you when I win her." Draco gave him a disgusted look and climbed the rest of the way.

"I did say m'dear you could keep 'em as long as you wanted. I have me own copy," Professor Flitwick said, tidying away a bunch of books. "Well, erm, I don't need them anymore," Aria explained, biting her bottom lip. "Very well then, Get off to class. You have about 5 minutes." Aria nodded before leaving his classroom with still several other books clutched in her hands. She had to make her way through three corridors, five sets of stairs and accidently crashed into a classroom already in session. She apologized to the Professor and the students before making her way finally up a flight of stairs to Professor Trelawney's tower. She dashed in and had just interrupted Professor Trelawney, who was in the middle of her 'Beginning of the Year speech'. Aria stopped, half exhausted, her head facing the ground. "Hm.. Who are you?" she asked, fixing her spectacles upon her nose. Aria had to pause before speaking, to take a big breath. "Oh, uh, Aria Blest, Professor Trelawney it is?" she took another heap of air, "I'm a transfer.. and erm- I'm sorry I'm late.. I had to er- give back some borrowed books to Professor Flitwick". "Oh, ah yes, Take a seat then," she said before continuing her speech. Aria smiled at her with a rather apologetic look in her eyes. She looked around the class. It was dusty, though it had a very nice vibe to it with all the different carpeting. Aria searched for an empty seat, the only seat that wasn't already occupied was a seat next to Draco. She sighed and walked forward to the empty seat, not even taking a slight glance at Draco, she placed the tower of books in front of her and sighed once more. She placed her hands in her lap, and tried to listen to Professor Trelawney but, she couldn't think straight. It was awkward to sit beside Draco after what had happened in the corridor. She dipped her head down to face her lap, still not taking a glance at him.

Draco watched as she barged into the classroom and made her excuses, stuttering. Uncouth, but she was pretty. He had to make her his. "You look uncomfortable," he said softly to the fidgeting girl next to him. "Listen, what happened in the corridor was a mistake. A slip of the tongue." He took a deep breath and forced her to look at him, making his eyes show a sincerity he didn't feel. "I was raised by parents who thought Muggleborns weren't worth the scum on their polished shoes. One of the first words I learnt was Mudblood. I'm sorry I mentioned it; old habits die hard." He grimaced. "I didn't mean anything by it, it's just a habit that I'm desperately trying to rid myself of. Will you forgive me?"

Aria smiled, but it rather looked like it was filled with sarcasm. "Draco.. Your awfully good at lying, something of which I'm not fond of. Pity you try and use it as an advantage," she said discouraged, staring into his eyes again. She said nothing after that and tried to ignore him but, still she couldn't think straight. Aria sighed in exhaustion, "So I think it's best if you save your little story." she told him once and for all. She resumed to gaze with her face away from his, still trying to listen to the lesson.

Draco looked like he had been slapped. He went red, and his eyes darkened considerably. He was not used to being embarrassed like this, even if Pansy and Blaise were the only ones listening, and he was very, very angry. "Look here, Mudblood," he growled, grabbing her arm in a vice-like grip. "You're lucky I'm even paying attention to filth like you. I don't know where you get that attitude of yours, but it stops now. I am better than you-" he said this in the most patronising tone he could muster, "-and it would do you good to remember that." He suddenly let go of her, and put on a pleasant ex pression. "Otherwise, you know," he continued casually, as if he was talking about the weather, "I'm sure I could just let slip the fact that you're bothering me to my father. He has a good word in the Ministry, you know, and in a matter of seconds-" he clicked his fingers in front of her face, "-your parents could have no jobs and you could be flat on your arse in an alleyway." He turned from her as if nothing had happened, and went on to listening Trelawney drone.

Aria was quite surprised on how Draco reacted. It was scary for a moment but, soon it subsided. He was still in the middle of his rant when Aria felt the huge urge of wanting to slap him, or punch him, or turn him into who knows what. But, since it was just the beginning of class she held back and thought she would physically hurt him later on. Soon afterwards when he had released her arm she began to spoke, her tone firm and assertive, "Pathetic.. Just simply pathetic. I dare you and go tell him, shame that you still rely on your father..". She didn't care if he did tell his father, she was just simply furious and wanted to get her words out, that's all that mattered to her in the moment. 'Little, arrogant, prejudiced pure-blood..' she thought, her anger building up inside of her.
