Dammit, she wasn't answering him. Too embarrassed, maybe? "What was that all about?" said a soft voice, and he turned to see Pansy. He shrugged. "She was staring, I caught her, goaded her a bit, and she ignored me." Pansy frowned. "That doesn't sit right with me. You said that she was rather outspoken against you in her first class with Trelawney?" Draco nodded, but dismissed it. "Maybe she's just shy. But this gives me some ground to work on. She must be attracted to me on some level, so I've still got a chance against Blaise." He smiled slightly, when a new voice entered their conversation: Blaise's. "Draco," Blaise growled. "What are you doing?" "No reason to get jealous, Blaise. Or maybe you do have reason. After all, the girl you like was eyeing your best friend." A smirk. Blaise gave another low growl. "I want to call off the competition. She's worth more than a stupid bet." Draco only tsked. "No can do, Blaise. We made a deal, remember? I don't think you realised it, but when you proclaimed this deal, a magical oath was sealed. You didn't feel the magic around us?" Blaise, looking horrified, only shook his head. "Well then. Even if I wanted out, it won't work unless you want both of us to lose our magic." Blaise still looked shocked at this revelation. Speechless, he turned away, just as Aria came back. She began tapping the desk, and Pansy sent both Draco and Blaise worried looks. She hadn't known about the oath. She hadn't felt it, either. What had they gotten themselves into?

Aria only sighed once more and stopped tapping when a feeble voice broke the silence and the hushed whispers in the room. "Now, now. Off to your next class! hand in your theories, yes?" Professor Slughorn said, making gestures. Aria felt the relief replace her nervousness again. She picked up all her supplies and stuffed the textbook back under the desk. She was about to hurriedly leave the desk when she had remembered about the borrowed quill Draco had lent her. Stepping back a few feet, she picked up the swan-feather quill and headed towards Draco. "Here, and thanks again." she said with another one of her small, warm smiles but, something was wrong with it, maybe just a tiny little bit. She handed back the quill and left.

Aria left quickly. "What was that all about?" Pansy asked, frowning. Both Blaise and Draco exchanged looks. "I have no idea," Draco said. "She looks like she needs space," Blaise said softly. "Leave her alone." He found that the way Aria was acting was odd. He didn't know what to make of it. Draco and Pansy put their hands up in surrender. "We weren't going to do anything." Pansy took out her timetable. "Free period, guys. What do you want to do?" Blaise began walking away. "I'm going to the dorm to think." They knew what was left unspoken. He was going to think...about the oath. They let him go. "Well, looks like it's just you and me, Drake," Pansy said, looping her arm through his. "Where to?" "I think the lake might be nice," Draco said thoughtfully. "We can go taunt the Giant Squid." Pansy smiled and shook her head disapprovingly. "You're so cruel, Draco," she said, but she left with him anyway.

Aria didn't know why she had acted that way, it couldn't be because of that little embarassing moment that had happened. She just couldn't think straight for some reason. She needed some time to figure out why she was feeling what she felt. She had decided to head to the dormitory and spend her other free period there, to think, to just figure out whatever it was to figure out. Once she had reached the passageway to the Common Room she took off her robe. She walked quietly over to the dormitories, glancing here and there around the green and silver -and cold dungeon. Aria closed the door afterwards and made her way to her four poster. But, she was stopped halfway there by her bright-eyed cat. Mori the cat mewed irritably. "What is it?" she asked, sighing and looking down at the tabby feline. Mori pranced up to Aria's bed and hopped onto the covers, pawing what seemed to be letters. Aria rushed over speedily and lightly pushed away the cat. The letters were torn and chewed, it looked like Mori had been meddling with the post. She sat down on the side of the four poster and picked one of them up and frowned. The cursive was familar to Aria though it appeared she wasn't fond of the person who had written it. She threw it away, picking up the other letters. Letter after letter she frowned. Five letters in total and she hadn't once smiled at one's sight. 'No wonder..' she thought picking up the four other letters she had thrown away. "All from that stupid, disgusting Calix.. ugh," she said to herself, anger very prominent in her voice. This was the answer to her behaviour. All the letters were from a boy Aria had went to school with before she attended Hogwarts. Aria knew that Calix was vile and all he wanted was power, and her. Leaving Mori, still mewing on the bed, she went out of the dormitory and into the Common Room. She walked over to the green-like fire and disposed of the love letters. She smiled but, it soon faded away. 'Stupid, stupid, stupid!' she thought, sitting herself in one of the leather sofas. She began to rub her forehead.

Blaise walked into the Slytherin Common Room, and saw Aria disappear quietly up to her dormitories. She looked troubled, and Blaise couldn't help but worry. He decided that he could do his thinking out in the common room, so he settled himself in a sofa and sat there. At least this way, he could make sure Aria was alright. He thought. He thought a lot. About Aria, about Draco, about the bet and about the magical oath. He hadn't realised it. He hadn't even known that it was possible for a minor to take the magical oath, but obviously, it was. How could he not have known this, having grown up with magic all around him? He pondered that for a moment, which turned into a long time, until he was so frustrated with this thought that he wanted to bang his head on one of the expensive glass top tables. Instead, he sat up and wondered where Aria was. As if on cue, the girl wandered back into the common room and threw some letters into a fire, not seeing him. She sat on the sofa beside his and began rubbing her temples. "Are you ok, Aria?" he asked sincerely.

"Oh. Uh- hi Blaise.. didn't see you there," Aria faltered before turning to slightly smile at him. She stared back at the fire and sighed, squinting to see if the letters had burned down into ashes yet. "And uh- yes. Just- just letters.." she continued, pointing her index finger at the blurs of light. Still she kept her watch on the letters, which seemed to have not even been touched by the fire. Her face began to look feverish and impatient. Pulling out her wand (which appeared like she had pulled it out of thin air) and pointing it at the fire, she tonelessly said, "Diffindo," and the letters began to rip itself into many peices. After taking a deep breath she enunciated, "Incendio". The flickering, green fire bursted into a larger one and Aria didn't bother looking at it anymore, feeling disinterested. "Hmph.. He puts an anti-burning charm on it.. whatever.. still so easy to get rid off.." she murmured, just taking a small glance at the- finally burning peices of letter. She placed her wand on the small lamp table nearby and turned to look at Blaise. She smiled before speaking again, "Are you okay? you don't seem to look fine".

Blaise ignored her question. "He?" he asked, brow furrowing. "You're getting these letters from a guy?" He didn't like it, but that came out slightly possessive. Damn it. Oh well. She was getting letters from a guy. A guy who put anti-burning charms on them. So obviously, there must be a reason she wanted to burn the letters. Stalker letters? Threats? His fist and jaw clenched. "I don't know this guy, do I?" he asked, voice lowered dangerously.

"Well- er.. yes," Aria said softly. She noticed both his fists had clenched and placed both her hands over one of his, trying to somewhat soothe him. She did one of her usual smiles and she allowed herself a look at the fire that had resumed it's regular size. Aria faced him again, her smile fading. "No, I don't think you know him. I reckon he transfered to Durmstrang due to the schools' Coat of Arms on each of the envelopes.. you know.. it's nothing to worry about though, scary how he knew where to address the letters this time though, dunno how he knew I've gone to Hogwarts and not some other schools.. uh- nevermind, just yeah, no worries!" she assured him but, it seemed a little unconvincing from what she had slipped out. She put another smile on her face, hoping it would convince him she was surely fine. "No worries.." she added before looking at both her hands still stroking one of Blaise's. Aria retrieved both of them, her cheeks becoming tinged with red.

Despite the soothing hands on curled around his fists, Blaise didn't calm down. He began to tremble slightly. "Who is this guy, Aria?" Blaise said quietly. He began to run over a list in his mind. A list of all the boy he knew went to Durmstrang, who would have the resources to track Aria and would be attracted to her. There were quite a few in his list. All of them were purebloods, since Durmstrang only accepted the pure. He could easily see some of the darker ones leering at Aria, wanting her on his arm as a trophy. Despite her unfortunate blood, she was quite the sight.

Aria sighed and looked straight into Blaise's eyes, her eyes pleading. "Oh, c'mon Blaise! I told you not to worry or anything, he's no one- no one that is a concern to you," she paused for a moment, closing her eyes to think. She took another heap of air before speaking again. "Okay, Listen. If there is a reason to worry or anything.. I'll tell you alright? please Blaise.." she told him, her face turning into a slight frown. "Please.." she whispered, the single word becoming a slur. Aria felt a chill go down her spine as he continued to quiver. She gave him a smile, hoping he would compromise.

Blaise sighed and closed his eyes. He didn't talk for almost five minutes, trying to keep his emotions in check. When finally he deemed himself calm enough to talk, he opened his eyes. "Ok," he said emotionlessly, "ok. I trust you to do that, though, if you ever need to." They didn't talk for a few minutes, and Blaise's thoughts gradually turned back to the reaosn he was here in the first place - the oath. He knew how Aria was, and she'd be the perfect confidant - if not for the fact that the oath was about her. And then she'd be totally mad at him and would not talk to him at all. Despite only knowing her for only a few days, he had becomed extremely attached to her. He was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't notice Pansy and Draco come in until they were right in front of him. "Earth to Blaise," Draco said, waving his hand in front of the other boy's face and looking at him strangely. Blaise jerked. "What?" he said rather rudely. "I said," Draco replied, in a patronising tone, "did you want to go to the kitchens for a snack?" He also directed this at Aria. Blaise shrugged. "Yeah, whatever. Do you want to, Aria?"

Aria occassionally gave Blaise glances during the long period of silence. Finally she nodded when she heard his voice, "Thanks Blaise." Aria said softly before taking her wand into her hand's again. She however continued to take brief looks at him, he still looked worried.. though it seemed not to be because of the letters, perhaps something else.. which worried Aria. She was going to ask him what was wrong again since he had ignored her the first time but, thought it was for the best to be left unsaid until later. She lifted her head to the sound of footsteps, drifting her attention from Blaise to Pansy and Draco's faces. Aria began to feel uneasy again.. and then.. a surge of anger. It had come back from what had happened in Divination class and also the thought of what he murmured to her in Potions irritated her. Closing her eyes again to think, she became even more angrier with him. After a few minutes of thinking over the conflicts she sent a glare at Draco. She stood up, ignoring the little exchange of words Draco and Blaise were having. Aria walked over to Draco, her face distressed yet fierce. She stopped a foot away from him and she did it- she slapped him right across the face. Aria looked him in the eyes intently, her eyes had gone dull. "You are absolutely so self centered and full of yourself. All you rely on is your pretty boy looks and that stupid charm of yours to get into a undeserved, little snog. And if that's all your trying to do with me, I suggest you stop unless you want to get punched next time. Oh, and hey, remember how you said all I am is a filthy Mudblood?! and I'm lucky that you pay attention to filth like me? well, why do you pay your stupid arse attention to me.. hm? why?" she said this all quickly, sharply and yet clearly. All-in-all though, she was referring to their confrontations. "-And don't go acting like you don't know what I'm talking about.." she finished off, her voice quiet now and lifeless. She continued to glare at him, wanting to see what he'd do about it or what he'd say. One of her hands were clenched and her other tightly grasping her wand. Aria hadn't actually realized how tall he was compared to her- until now, about five or six inches taller. She gulped, her clenched hand going through her hair. She started to feel uneasy again and it could be shown.

Draco was taken aback at her outburst. What had he done to deserve that? They had made up...and he hadn't said anything too bad to her since then. So...what? The mark on the side of his face suddenly started burning, and he realised she had slapped him. Him. Draco Malfoy, Slytherin prince. And it didn't matter what else she had said, because she had slapped him. His face darkened until his eyes were dark, stormy and terrifying. Pansy, who had been smiling only a minute before, took a step back when she saw his face, apprehension creeping into her frame. "D-drake?" she stuttered, watching his angry face and his clenched fists. She sent a terrified look Blaise's way, but even he didn't know what to do. He looked helpless, and he knew that going near Draco when he was like this would only result in grievous bodily harm. He was terrified for Aria. By now, the whole of the Common Room had gone quiet, and they were watching the confrontation anxiously. They had all accepted what Aria had said as fact a long time ago, and it wasn't the accusations that had shocked them. No, it was that the girl had touched the older Slytherin. Without his permission. Like Pansy and Blaise, they scrambled to get out of the way. Draco was silent for a few seconds. He seemed to be breathing deeply in and out, trying to control his temper, but it was obvious that the attempt was in vain. Finally he talked, and his voice was a whisper, but eveyone heard him. "Now you're going to see what happens to Mudbloods in Slytherin." His face snapped up, and he grabbed Aria's forearm very, very tightly - so tightly that the area around the pale skin began to go red at an alarming speed. He dragged her out of the Common Room, and no one stopped him. No one dared.

What did she just do? what in the world did she just do? Aria felt her anger fade away and be replaced with fear. She had just realized what she'd done and she didn't know why she had done that.. maybe she did know.. but, her mind was clouded with too many confusing thoughts resulting in her not being able to think straight. She was going to say something, she was going to try and talk to him but, she was choked and her whole body felt numb for a moment like it had froze. Her mouth was slightly hung open and her eyes trailing off into the distance. She still had her consciousness and could still observe and examine things, she watched as Draco's cheek turned red from her slapping him.. how his grey eyes had darkened.. how his face ex pression turned into anger and how his fists started to clench.. Aria started to look lost and even more fearful. She could hear and feel Draco's changed breathing pattern. Deep and heavy- matching his emotion. Aria's heart rate sped up and so did her breathing. Her eyes were dull as ever and had a look of mercy in them. Aria did not restrain when he took her arm, neither when he started to drag her out of the Common Room. She took a glance at her arm, which started to feel painful and was scarlet red. She looked at him with a guilty ex pression crossing her face. Aria opened her mouth to speak, which was still hard to do but, she finally managed after a few tries of finding her voice back. "Dra-drake.. Draco.." she stuttered, her voice very shaky and rather weak. And then it hit her.. a scorching stinging feeling on her back. It very forcefully hit her just as she was about to repeat his name again. "Ow.. -wait.. please.. stop," she begged, her voice more clearly this time. Aria's shoulders started to hunch and she looked as if she was about to cry. It hurt to move after what she had just felt and Draco was dragging her around at a fast pace.

Draco suddenly stopped at the seventh floor, in a corridor across from Barnabas the Barmy. He wrenched Aria close to him, and then lowered his mouth to her ear. "Do you know where we are?" he breathed. Before she could answer, he continued, "Of course you don't. You're new." He sneered and pushed her away from him. "It's the Room of Requirement. It morphs itself into any room of my choosing, conjuring whatever I require, doing whatever I bid it to. And do you know what the loveliest thing about this place is?" He grinned ferally. "No one can hear you scream." He opened the door and pushed Aria inside, following her.

Aria thought she had reached the most worst level of fear already but, she was wrong. She did not attempt to run away, thinking it would result in something much worse. Her back still stinging, she listened to his whispers.. The Room of Requirement sounded horrible from what Draco had just described. She braced herself and took a deep breath. She almost tripped when he pushed her in and his touch on her back made it feel like it was burning as if it was on fire. Aria turned around to face him, her peachy-pale skin looked as if it had been drained dry of blood. She placed her hand on the forearm Draco had been grasping on, it was still scarlet. "Dra-.. Draco.. le-let me explain.. please.." she pleaded, she looked as lifeless as ever.

"You have a minute," Draco replied boredly. He had closed the door behind him and was now idly twirling his wand in his fingers while looking around. The room was an empty but large room, with white walls, no windows and no visible light source. The floor was cold stone, and Draco looked terrifying.

Aria stared at him for a moment and afterwards she tilted her head downwards, choosing the right words in her head to explain it. "O-okay.. there's this boy.. Calix.. well.. he likes me.. but, well.. I don't like him back.. he keeps on bothering me with letters and twice he's well.. he's threatened me, he's made me feel pain.. On June 17th this year.. he- he.. he did this," she said before taking off her robe and throwing it onto the ground. Next she took off her sweater vest, she turned herself around and she began to unbutton her white blouse. After throwing that onto the ground she moved her long, black curls over her shoulder. Aria gulped before undoing her bra clasp. She however did not take it off, instead she supported it up with one of her arms. On her back, right below her shoulder blades was a scaly creature.. it had a green-like hue to it.. it's long body was in coils.. and it had two, black jewel-like eyes. It was a snake that was outlined in black but, if you looked close enough it was also outlined faintly in a pink-red colour, it was scarred. There were also four short lines.. cuts.. snake bites. The snake was like a tattoo though it could move across her back as if it were alive.. and it did so. The snake slithered it's head to face Draco and you could hear a faint hiss in the air. "It's partly cursed.. he did it because I wouldn't snog with him.. it's real and fake at the same time.. half of it's mind it can control and the other half, Calix can control.. it can bite.. and I can feel it.. it hasn't woken up until today.. around Potions class.. he sent five letters today as well.. one of them must've woken it up.. and- and I can't think straight at moments because of it.. I can only control it at times.. and other times.. well.. I-I'm sorry I slapped you by the way.. but.. it was by it's orders," she told him slowly and she soon spoke once more, forgetting to add something. "D-don't stare in it's eyes.. it- it'll strike". ||~epic plot twist.. lol~||

((Oh gosh. xD)) Draco stared at the thing for a moment. He had heard of this. Many of the old Dark Pureblood families did this to their wives to ensure total obedience and fidelity to the husband. His mother didn't have one because of her total devotion to his father, but he knew Blaise's mother had once had one to her first husband. Since he was dead, and she couldn't have another one put on her, she was in her own total will. It seemed Aria was now under the control of one, and to an unknown boy as well. It didn't excuse what she had done to him, though. "Learn to control it," Draco said viciously, wiping his face of all emotion. He was angry, and concerned as well (where did that come from?), but he still wanted to scare her into never touching him like that again. Who was this Calix kid? Draco wanted to meet him, and pummel him. Not only out of concern for Aria, but also out of concern for all the other witches the disgusting boy had probably done it to. He didn't agree with that aspect of Pureblood tradition.
