Dan was sat in his back garden, gazing up at the sky. Paradise had gone home about an hour before, and already his mind was overcome with thoughts about her. He wondered how he could see her, just a little more, without seeming like a creep of something.
After a moment's pondering, he realized he knew exactly where she lived, and that it was a cloudy enough day for him to fly without being spotted...
With a grin, he looked to the sky a moment as the metalic blue scales grew out from his skin, covering him completely. Massive wings tore through his shirt, and his overall anatomy began to take on the form and figure of a dragon about the size of a cart horse.
He was already running forward before it was even complete, and the minute it was, he kicked his feet against the dusty ground and took flight, soaring into the clouds and out of the view of suspecting people.
Once again, nothing remained to show the incredible transformation that had just happened besides the shreds of clothing along the ground.
Well now. I should... Probably put something intelligent here. At some point. Eventually.

I had walked home over an hour ago, feeling like I was walking on air. The project was done, but that wasn't why I was feeling overjoyed. Now I sat on my bed, staring out my window. I couldn't fall asleep, not with my heart pumping this fast, so I chose to just sit up and stare. It was only then that a depressed feeling came over me. I was letting myself feel this way, but when should I face reality and try telling him again? I swallowed. Not yet. Definitely not yet.

The scaled beast that was now Dankaylan had made it to Paradise's house in a little over three minutes, having chosen to go at a light glide.
Gliding down, he landed on her rooftop with a soft thud, creeping to the edge of it and lying low.
He could sense her nearby, and that was enough for him to be happy with it.
Eventually, though, after about ten minutes of being content with just being close to her, it started to rain.
Rather than risk a storm, Dan decided he'd better head back. Kicking off from the rooftop, he dipped low enough to be seen from even a bottom story window before flying higher.
Oh well, he thought.
It's not like she'll be looking out her window right now or anything, and it's probably to dark for her to see much even if she was.
Well now. I should... Probably put something intelligent here. At some point. Eventually.

I wonder what he's doing right now... I thought to myself with a smile. As my thoughts stayed on Dan, I heard something on the roof. It wasn't much of importance to me. I kept going back to how I knew Dan wasn't thinking about me. About how he could be in his dreams, with me out of his mind. But I refused to have that ruin this beautiful night- I was just about to close my eyes, feeling sleep come upon me, when I saw something out the window in front of me. Jumping out of my bed at the sight, I looked out the window in shock. I couldn't put my finger on what it was, it was too dark to see, but I knew I wasn't exaggerating when I said it had wings. And was huge. I swallowed, fear wrapping it's fingers around my throat as I held back a scream. Or, at least, any voice that was able to come out. But, before I knew it, what ever I saw was gone. Now it was just me, alone, unable to sleep the rest of the night.

Pft. Fien, but I ain't gonna be happy 'bout it. 3:]] The next morning, Dan was up with the sun, quickly getting dressed and going for a walk through the forest before going to school. The night before, he had come back feeling happy and overjoyed at having seen Paradise, and he was fairly certain she hadn't seen him.
After he got to school, he went to his locker and headed to class, sitting by the window. He couldn't remember who was in his morning class, but nor did he care much. After all, today was a good day.
What would Paradise suspect even if she had seen him? It wasn't like she knew what he could do or anything.
Well now. I should... Probably put something intelligent here. At some point. Eventually.

My eyes were swore, puffy, and I probably looked like a ghost with my complexion's color at the moment. I didn't sleep a wink last night, my mind wrapped up in thoughts of what I saw. My head buzzed and I trudged into school with a deep frown. The last thing I cared about was if Dan saw me with this hideous look, ironically. When I was tired, I was unpleasant to be around. After grabbing my books, I slammed my locker and walked to my first period class, with a frown.

Dan glanced up when he heard someone enter the room, and grinned when he saw Paradise.
''Hey!'' He called out, standing up and walking over to her. Upon closer inspection, it became clear she didn't look very happy at all.
Standing in fron of her, he tilted his head to the side slightly and looked at her questioningly.
''Hey, you alright? You seem a little... Ticked at something.''
For a moment, he thought she might have figured out what he was and was mad because of that, but he immediately brushed that thought aside. He was just being paranoid again.

If today was any normal day, my heart would have soured at Dan's face when he saw me. But, right now, with my tired eyes, all I could think about was sleep. And what I saw last night. As Dan came closer, I tried a smile, but it came out lazy. "I'm just tired. I couldn't sleep last night." I put a finger to my temple and massaged it before adding, "Mostly because I saw this weird-" I stopped before looking back up at him with wide eyes of surprise that I was almost about to say it. "Never mind." He'd think I was crazy anyways. I sighed and went to my seat. Why I was being so stupid, not enjoying how Dan was actually talking to me today, I'd never know.

Dan's heart stopped when she'd mentioned seeing something. He waited for her to go on, hoping he was wrong. When she didn't, he knew for a fact she'd seen it.
Seen him as a monster he'd never wanted her to see him like.
Her seat was behind his in this class, so when he went and sat down, he pushed his chair back and rested his arm on the back of it.
''You saw what weird thing?'' He asked, an unreadable ex
pression on his face.
''If it's keeping you from sleep, I want to know about it.''
Truth be told, if she said something and he found out it hadn't been him she'd seen, he'd probably search the entire vicinity of her home until he found out what it was.
He wasn't having her miss another night's sleep.

I smiled nervously at Dan. He'd so think I was crazy. Even I thought I was crazy. "Seriously, Dan, it's..." I looked back up at him, feeling like I was about to melt as his eyes stayed on me. Oh, why not tell him? I could always say I was just kidding, if he thought I was that... Crazy. "I don't know what it was, exactly. It was... Huge. And, it had wings... And it was really close to my house. I think it was on my roof, because before I saw it, I heard something on my roof. But, that's just a guess. And... Before I could make out anything else, it was gone."

She had seen something, heard it on top of her roof, and it had wings... Was huge...
There was no doubt about it, not any more.
The thing that had kept her from her sleep had been him, all because he'd been selfish enough to go to her house. And now she was worrying about it, probably scared out of her wits. He really was a monster, even when he didn't look like one.
''It... sounds kind of like that thing that was on the news that time, doesn't it? The thing someone thought was a dragon.''
He wondered what he could say that would make her less worried, but came up with nothing good.
''It... could be some kind of a bird, couldn't it? An undiscovered one. New species are discovered all the time, afterall.'' He left out that those new species were almost always small, thinking it might sound a little convincing, at least.

I paled even more then I already was at his first statement. Dan was right! It was exactly what I had thought of as impossible when I saw the story about the seen 'dragon'. I frowned at the thought, goosebumps running up and down my arms. "You're right..." I said, shaking my head. "Should I tell someone, the way the others have told, when they saw it?" At his talk of a new species, I nodded my head. "It's definitely something new." I muttered, crossing my arms as I bit my lip.
