Dragon has been hired.
Now onto what I would like.
Romance.
I will have a female character. She will not be human. I will post a bio, but I will not tell you what she is. :3
The point of this is for YOU and your character to keep guessing as to what she is. I don't want to start this RP off with the characters immediately hitting it off, getting really close, and eventually he finds out what she is, and they're both okay with it and bleh bleh bleh. No cliches. Shad doesn't like cliches.
Lurkers, keep posting to a minimum please.

Interested. But I am on my Touch, so it might be a little while until I can post a character.

Full Name: Sethera Fero Nickname: Seth Age: Seventeen Gender: Male Appearance: Sethera has bright, cat-yellow eyes with a ring of black around his pupils. He has shoulder length black hair with jagged ends and has streaks of white accentuating his bangs. Standing at five foot ten, he has light tawny skin even though he does not spend a lot of time outside. Along the right side of his lower jaw is a darker white, jagged scar that he received when he was smaller and Sethera is not too keen about telling the experience to nosy people due to the lack of knowledge how he acquired it. He also puts his hair up in a small ponytail located at the nape of his neck. When it is like that, his ears are visible and his right ear is pierced with two golden hoops on the cartilage and the lobe on the same side is pierced with a silver stud. As for clothes, he usually wears grays or reds with jeans and black converse. Personality: Sethera is a quiet guy. He only talks when he needs to and sometimes watches from the shadows. When he is riled up, he can be very fierce and slightly aggressive. Sethera also takes everything rather seriously and doesn't have much humor in his life. Because of that, he rarely smiles but the closest thing he came to smiling would have to be a slight twitch of his lips. Sometimes a friendly dude, he likes his friends and will protect them when necessary, but people have to get used to his distant personality. Not to mention, trouble always seems to find him no matter how far he runs from it. Hobbies: Sethera can draw pretty well and his pictures are more anime-like while he only draws humanoid-creatures, canines, dragons, birds, and felines. The anatomy of the other creatures makes his head spin. He does have an iPod and it is full of metal rock, alternative rock, and some hip-hop music. Others: Sethera is also pretty good in Martial Arts.

Name: She goes by KnoxAge: Seventeen; this is her true age Gender: Female Appearance: Knox is small in stature, petite and almost ghostly looking. Curves? Oh, that's laughable. She barely makes an A cup with her breasts and her hips are not something to talk about either. Her fair skin is unmarred by the imperfections that most call freckles, or even acne. Dainty hands and small feet carry her frail-looking body, though most can't tell she looks so garishly skeletal since she wraps herself in clothes that hide it. Knox's silver white hair falls down past her waist and the bangs over her forehead hang just over her brows. Longer side bangs frame either side of her cheek, and the layers continue out around her head. As for her face, it matches the rest of her body with her small, elvin looking nose, slightly pointed ears, and the gentle round curve to her cheeks. Hair Color: White, though in the sunlight silver and gold slivers run through the locks. Eye Color: Gold, green, and sometimes gray. Very rarely do they turn red. Personality: Knox has never been much of a people person, though she does enjoy seeing how other interact with each other. She doesn't typically get made fun of, simply because people are either too scared of her or don't bother to notice her strange presence. The rest will be RPed out. History: Knox has been raised in a very tough household because of both of her parents' background. She's never had a normal life, living as a sort of "special" type of supernatural. It took her twelve years for her to convince her parents to let her go to normal school, and when that didn't work out, they'd had to move across countries (of course, a few memories had been wiped prior to the escape...). Positive Traits: Emotionally strong and the rest will be RPed out. Negative Traits: Awkward; Strange; Has trouble blending and the rest will be RPed out. Pets/Familiars: You will find out. Other: I will give way to the fact that she's a....NOPE. And she ain't a vampire. LOL
Would you like for me to start, or you? Also, I'm thinking she's going to be a transfer student, starting in the middle of the day, maybe during lunch? It'll be at an Academy, though uniforms are a bit loose whereas the students can design them however they want, so long as they follow the initial code (Ladies; skirts and blouses, males; crew-necks and slacks). And at the Academy, there'll be lessons in archery and horse riding and the like. <3

"Oh hush, Beau," Knox mumbled underneath her breath. Her silvery hair fanned out behind her, tumbling in waves down her back and against the overgrown grass. Knox blew out a slow breath and her chest followed through with the loss of air, then ballooned when she took in a steady stream of air. The sound of the miniature waterfall to Knox's right, made by a small ever-flowing stream, contested with the sound of Knox's breaths. She stretched her hands out to her right, palms cupped, and made a sweeping motion through the air. Her back arched as she bent forward and she made a complete circle of movement.
The sapling that poked feebly out from the ground two feet away from her did nothing. Knox didn't expect it to, but yeah, it would have been nice if something had happened, even if mother and father had both agreed that if Knox had to live like that...well, she didn't like it. Knox stood up and brushed some stray blades of grass from her uniform, scowling down at the plant as she did so. Even if it had been true--which it still could be--Knox was relentless when it came to unlocking secrets. Curiosity would be her demise, her father had sworn.
"Things will work out, Knox. At least you're going to school again," the sparrow piped comfortingly into her ear. Knox sighed when the creature, previously referred to as Beau, perched on her shoulder. "Speaking of," he continued and cocked his tiny feathered head to the right. "I think you just missed the bus."
"What?!" Knox said and took off running down the steep trail that led back down to her new house. She rushed through the sliding glass door in the back, grabbed her shoulder bag from where it was resting against the hallway wall, and sprinted toward the door.
When she made it outside, she stumbled down the cobblestone driveway and out past the eerie black gates that marked the beginning of their property line. Her silver hair bounced behind her as she made her way down the twists and bends that made up the trail on the forested hill she lived on. When she made it down to the street, she found that the bus had just arrived, and almost all of the kids had their faces pressed against the glass, eyes growing larger by the second when they found her.
"I'll be here if you need me," Beau said encouragingly from above.
---
After the horrendous bus ride, which included Knox pulling weeds and twigs out of her long hair, and feeling the weighted stares of the normal humans that sat all around her, Knox now sat in the school counselor's office. Knox felt comfortable, at the very least. Miss. Craylin, the middle-aged woman who was now setting up Knox's schedule, had been sympathetic when Knox had walked almost teary-eyed through the door.
First days were always rough, she'd said. Know knew that, of course, and she'd eventually be forgotten; she knew that too. Still, all of those freakish stares she'd gotten had jarred her spirits just a bit. Miss. Craylin patted her on the shoulder and handed her her schedule, then pointed out the window of the room. "It's lunch right now," she said. Picnic tables dotting underneath a canopy of trees made up the lunch space at the Academy, along with an inside cafeteria for those who didn't like the outdoors as much. Miss. Craylin paused. "You can stay in here if you like, though."
"Oh, no," Knox said and shook her head. "I'll be okay." And she would. The smile on her face was genuine. Though Miss. Craylin still looked a little wary about letting the girl out, she gave her a tight nod and opened the door.
"Good luck."
"Thank you," Knox said as she exited the room.
She traced one finger down the sheet of paper and sent the information about her classes to memory. The room numbers stuck, though the teachers and even the names of the classes didn't. Math had always come simple to Knox; heck, anything with numbers was enjoyable for her.
She made her way out the door that Miss. Craylin had instructed she use. Harsh sunlight hit her eyes and she blinked frivolously. One more step and she was underneath the light-dappled shade of the trees though, and she felt better. A few kids were looking her way and she turned her golden eyes down to the ground, hurriedly scuffling her way over to an abandoned picnic table.
Knox set her bag down and followed. She went to reach for her lunch, hesitated, and decided she wasn't very hungry. A butterfly landed on one of her knuckles, the monarch's orange wings fluttering for just a moment. Knox smiled down at Beau, though gently shook him off of her finger. "You're doing fine," he whispered in his buggy voice as he lazily floated past Knox's ear.
So far so good, she thought.

Sethera sat beneath one of the trees in the court area. The shade emphasizing the natural white highlights in his hair as the locks obscured his odd yellow cat-eyes. Which were, in fact, glued to a piece of paper in front of him. It's entire white surface was completely covered in small doodles he had drawn in the tle="Powered by Text-Enhance" id="_GPLITA_0" style="text-decoration: underline; " href="#" in_rurl="http://www.textsrv.com/click?v=VVM6MTk3MjA6MTQ3OTpjbGFzc2VzOjc2YWNmOTlkMmRmOWY2ZmQyOWNjMWNjZTc3N2IwMjMwOnotMTIwOS0zNjIyMTp3d3cucmVzY3JlYXR1LmNvbQ%3D%3D">classes previous. His lunch lay forgotten around him. As he tapped his pencil against the paper in an attempt to finish one particular doodle, a stabbing pain filled his skull as emotions filled his mind's eye with flashes of colours.
Nervousness, rage, envy, joy, indifferent. The list goes on. All this emotion coming from the people around him. People showing false emotions upon their facial features. He rubbed at his temples with the pads of his fingers and scowled, his eyes closed tightly.
"Sethera. Cousin! Concentrate on my voice. My mind-emotions. Let the others' go," came one male voice whose mental emotion was as calm as his voice. His. Zakeru. it soon became easier as the other emotions washed away like sand on a beach. Then, he opened his yellow eyes to stare into the depths of his cousin's orange eyes.
"Thank-you, Zakeru," Sethera said, a weak smile curving his lips. His older cousin just stared at him before shrugging, a smile playing at his own lips before he moved to gather up Sethera's lunch.
"Hey!" the yellow-eyed boy interjected, popping to his feet and letting the stuff on his lap fall to the ground. "I was eating that!"
Zakeru just snorted as he walked away, taking his cousin's food with him as he went. "Oh really? Tell me, Cat-eye, what part if this meal were you eating?"
With a faint shrug, Sethera stepped in front of his cousin and asked softly so he didn't startle her; "May my cousin and me sit with you?"

The first thing that startled Knox when she turned to look at the two boys that had approached her were the strange colors of their eyes. She blinked a few times and just stared at the boy who held the yellow pair, though didn't look directly in those eyes. Curiosity poked at her side, as dangerous as a cat's. After all, Knox knew her eye color could change if she weren't careful. It was interesting to see two anomalies, or maybe they weren't anomalies. Knox really hadn't seen too much of the human world, but she knew that most eye colors came in green, brown, blue, or a mixture of the three in some shape or form.
"Oh. Sure. Of course," Knox sputtered out once she realized she'd zoned out. Nervousness scuttled through her. What if they...No, silly. Why would they ever expect that you're different. Weird maybe, but not different. Knox's internal thoughts made her feel easy again. She moved her bag over and rested it on the ground between her legs.
Knox glanced around her to find that most of the others were digging into their lunches; even though some were talking, almost all had some type of food out before them. Hesitantly, Knox pulled out her own lunch bag, which was basically just a plastic baggie that included a handful of blueberries. That was it for her lunch, seeing as Knox was never truly "hungry." Her father declared it was from his side of the family, a good sign, while her mother argued that it was from her side.
Knox suppressed a sigh and looked up at the two boys again. It was strange to be this close to a few humans. She finally dared to look at those strange cat-like yellow eyes that one of the boys had and her eyes widened. Knox's breath hitched in her throat and her jaw tightened, fingers grasping her bench seat. Swallowing, she looked down and...and it stopped. The thrumming pain on the top of her pallet went away, same with the ache in her teeth.
A mouse was sitting at Knox's feet, tiny paws smacking at its own eyes and then pointing back at Knox. Her brows furrowed as she tried to figure out what Beau was trying to say. He was squeaking something: a word. Ice? Eels? Eyes? Eyes! Oh no.
Knox's eye color had changed and these two boys had just witnessed it.
"I'm pretty new here. How long does this lunch last?" she asked softly.

Sethera cocked his head slightly at the hidden emotions in this female's mind. They had come to him unbidden and he could tell she was extremely curious. Blinking his cat-yellow eyes, he realized Zakeru prodded his temple and gestured that they could sit. Sethera glanced down at the remnants of his lunch and plopped down on the bench, setting his stuff next to him before inhaling what was left.
Zakeru's nose crinkled. "Damn, cousin. You eat food like you breathe! How come you haven't gained anything?" the boy asked before muttering something in Japanese.
Sethera just smirked. "The same way you can go through a whole pack of cigarettes without getting lung cancer," he retorted and Zakeru just rolled his eyes, shoving at his cousin before walking off. "Oi! Where ya' going!"
"To smoke something nice," came the reply as the orange-eyed boy vanished from view.
Sethera chuckled softly as he shook his head. Out of the corners of his eyes, he saw the female's eyes flash something strange. But he quickly put it to the back of his mind. Probably the sun doing funky stuff. Then, he cocked his head as he considered her question.
"Fifteen more minutes, maybe," Sethera said, his voice drawn out since he was just guesstimating.

"Fifteen more minutes, maybe," the boy answered her.
Knox couldn't help the deflated sigh that came from her. Pinpricks in the corner of her eyes threatened to grow into full size tears. She had been extremely optimistic about coming to school again and having a chance at being normal, but she just felt more loss than ever. Alienated, even. Yeah, this boy and his cousin had sat at the bench, but only because she was the only one sitting here and they needed a seat.
I just wish I knew what I was, she thought dejectedly to herself. The eyes that had flashed a crimson red before leeched into a sullen gray. I don't even know how to talk to this boy, she thought with exasperation. Knox thought she better try something at least, so this guy doesn't ask her what's wrong and she breaks out into a million bloody tears. Wouldn't that just be the icing on the cake?
"Your cousin smokes?" she asked, nose crinkling. Knox carefully kept her eyes on his nose, way too scared that the same throbbing sensation would take hold of her body again. She would definitely have questions for her parents later.

Sethera blinked his yellow as at the sigh the female gave. It sounded so... dejected. He longed to say something to help make her feel better. But when he saw the distinct colour flashing in her eyes, he noticed that they changed colour. Twice. His yellow eyes blinked. Normal humans couldn't change the colours of their eyes unless they got it done through surgery.
Normal...
With a faint snort, Sethera pushed that to the back of his mind. He was far from normal. He had cat-yellow eyes and could sense emotions in a person that they did not show on their face or in their tone.
"Your cousin smokes?"
That question brought Sethera back from distant musing. He ran one hand through his bicoloured hair and nodded once. "Yea. He smokes. Aunt Ri doesn't like it, but..." He trailed off with the faint shrug of his shoulders.

Knox fiddled with an infinity ring that she wore on the forefinger of her right hand. Her mother hated smoke, though it was understandable, what with her nature and all. Anything that had to do with fire really didn't go hand in hand with Knox's mother. As for Knox's father, he'd told her before that things like that didn't affect him, and likewise probably wouldn't affect Knox. "Doesn't that give you guys cancer?" Knox asked dumbly and blinked. She'd referred to the humans as well, not herself. Oh goodness. "I mean, us cancer. It gives guys like us cancer. Wait, no. I mean us because I'm a girl and---ouch!"
Knox jerked her leg back and ended up smacking her knee against the table top. She gritted her teeth and looked down furiously at Beau, only to see him take off across the lawn, his cat tail streaming out behind his rump. She rested her ankle against her knee and examined where Beau's fangs had dug into her flesh. Two puncture wounds trickled with a little bit of blood and Knox swiped it away with her fingertips.
"Sorry about that. Look, you can have the table to yourself. I just have to go to the bathroom to take care of...this," she said.
Wanting to get out of there as fast as she could, what with her cheeks on fire and her fatal slip-ups she'd just made--this had never happened before!--Knox slid out of her bench and grabbed her bag. The backpack straps slipped onto her back and she walked as quickly as she could without seeming too urgent. Unbeknownst to her, she headed in the opposite direction of the bathroom.
Beau's furry little hide had disappeared around a bend in the sidewalk. Knox walked around that way and once out of Sethera's--or anyone's--sight, she pushed her way through a few bushes. "Beau," Knox hissed.
A ctenosaur tilted its scaly head to the side and flicked out a forked tongue. Beau narrowed his eyes and shook his lizard head. "I was only helping, Knox," Beau said and shrugged his tiny shoulders. He tilted his head to the side. "You need to watch yourself. And what happened earlier? You looked as white as a sheet and then your eyes changed."
Knox glanced around before kneeling down to the ground. When she stretched out her hand, Beau crawled onto her arm. "I don't know, Beau," she murmured and he shifted into a cat again in her arms. A rhythmic purr rasped in his throat as Knox ran her fingers through his fur. "When I looked into his eyes, it's like...like everything else got pulled away. My tongue felt thick and fuzzy and there was this....this, I don't know." She squeezed her eyes shut, not wanting to face the truth.
"Maybe it's best if I do go home. No one'll miss me here anyway," she said.

Sethera listened to this strange girl, a faint smile curving his lips as he watched her blunder. It was also because of the nervousness he sensed in her mind. As he opened his mouth to answer her question... Or questions since it seemed she couldn't make up her mind about something, she got up and left. After she said she had to clean up her leg.
When did she get bitten anyways?
Sethera sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose, his yellow eyes closing for a bit before he opened them to position his stuff on the table instead of the bench beside him.
She was quite the interesting character.

Knox's plan had been to head right home, walk out of campus grounds and make her little walk of shame back to her house. Miss. Craylin had definitely foiled those plans. Knox had bumped right into the woman as she was skirting around the lunch area, not wanting Seth to see her and ask any questions. "Oh, Knox!" Miss. Craylin said in surprise as she dropped a folder filled with papers.
The sheets of paper fanned out around the two of them. Knox bent down to pick some of them up, and wipe some of the dirt off of them. "I'm so sorry. I was just in a bit of a hurry and didn't see you," she answered, feeling more and more terrible. Today surely hadn't been a good day. Heck, she hadn't even made it to any of her classes and she'd already screwed up. The things she'd hear from her parents tonight...
"Knox. Hello?" Miss. Craylin waved a paper in front of Knox's face as if she were expecting an answer. Knox blinked and frowned, making a "what?" face. Miss. Craylin's lips pulled back with worry and she patted the girl on the head. "I said, is everything alright? You seem a little flustered. You don't look too good."
"Oh n-no, it's fine," Knox stammered. "I'm just stressed, really. I don't know anyone here and classes are starting and..." she broke off because Miss. Craylin interrupted her.
"I'd offer my office to you again, but I have to go. My daughter's sick and I have to pick her up from her elementary school." She paused and looked Knox over again, looking a little indecisive. "I'd feel better if you had someone with you, just for the day. Wasn't that Sethera you were talking with earlier?" Her voice got softer in thought and then she perked right up.
Miss. Craylin dug into her bag and pulled out a slip of pink paper, then scribbled something down on it with a pen she'd likewise pulled from her bag. "Here. I signed him out of his first two classes so he can show you around; yours are free too. Now go on!"
Well, there was no way Knox was going to be able to escape leaving school. Besides the fact that it would show up on her records, Knox would feel even worse about letting Miss. Craylin down. Glancing halfhearted toward Sethera, Knox felt worry course through her. What if the freaky thing happened to her again if she was near him, nevermind looking into his eyes? What if she ended up blubbering out her secret?
"Okay," she answered miserably. Knox could feel the worry coming from Miss. Craylin as the white-haired girl made her way back over to the picnic table.
"Hey," she said and glanced down at her ankle, where two skin punctures and a small trickle of blood from each one rested. "I err, sort of cleaned up. Um, Miss. Craylin, the guidance counselor, gave me a note. She was hoping maybe you could show me around. It's okay if you don't want to," Knox said; the entire time she talked, she stayed stiff and kept her eyes on the hard wood of the table. Fishing out the note, she held it out without looking at him.
All the while, Beau watched from above and thought that if this boy couldn't figure out something was different about Knox, he'd have to be very stupid.
