Ukamundo knocked on the door. There was no answer and it pushed open. Syra was gone, and the window was open.
"Crap" said Ukamundo. "I think she's after Darkeye. Someo one want to help me find her?"

Ukamundo walked off through the door, downstairs and outside, climbing up the courtyard.
"I don't see why he doesnm't just put a door in!" he said Angrily, dropping back down to the street. It was dark out, although the moons and stars were bright.

Syra moved faster throuigh the streets, stopping when she reached a small courtyard, surrounded on all sides by high buildings, with a small merchants stall on one side. A cloaked figure stood at the opposite end of the courtyard.
"I knew it was you the whole time" Darkeye said. "It's your hair, i could recognise it anywhere"
Syra looked at him, her eyes tearing. "Kane..."
"How long has it been?"
"I-i don't know off by hand... what's the date?"
"83 years."
"I'm sorry..."
"It's not your fault."
Ukamundo lead Lily through an empty building and came out behind the merchant stall. Seeing Syra and Darkeye, he dropped down and pulled a small knife from his coat.

Syra moved towards Darkeye. "What are you doing here?"
"I'm here to..."
A crossbow bolt whistled past Kane and he turned. A cloaked man wielding a crossbow was standing on top a building. Opposite was another archer. Four men wielding swords dropped down.
"Darkeye, we'll take it from here" said one of them.
"I told you, I'm no longer working for your little outfit..." hissed Kane, moving his hand surreptisously to his hip.
"I don't care. We're still taking the girl. But if you so wish to have a clear conscious before you die?"
Kane made a sudden movement to his sword, but a crossbow bolt pierced his hand, Kane screamed and his sword clattered to the ground. 2 of the men with swords grabbed Syra.
Ukamundo turned to Lily and whispered; "You up for a fight?"

Ukamundo hurled his knife at one of the men holding Syra. He fell. Pulling out hsi Sword Ukamundo launched himslef at the others, holding his sword in a defensive position and waiting for them to make the first move.

One of them swung his blade to intercept it, while another got stuck in the thigh and Ukamundo finished him off. The crossbowers started firng at Ukamundo. One bolt buried itself in his shoulder, but the shooter was killed by a black wave from Kane's hand. One of the men ran towards Lily.
